If we end up with Zeller we are most likely drafting at number 2 for another team. We aren't taking Zeller second overall.

Derrick Williams is irrelevant and offers nothing to the team. Not sure why everyone is continuing to talk about the guy. The number 2 pick this year isn't exactly a hot commodity.

Thanks for posting. If Bennett turns out to be Millsap then he would be a great pick, especially in this draft. For those comparing him to Millsap it's because they are built similar. Millsap doesnt have the outside shot or handle that Bennet displays. I think a large part of his defensive production, or lack thereof, has to do with the system and coaching at unlv. He has the ability to do it very well but it doesn't seem like he was pushed or even asked to do it. He was the main scorer on the team. If he isn't on Cleveland's short list for the top pick there is something seriously wrong with Dan Gilbert and Chris Grant.

For those interested see below. Apparently i have pretty similar views to Ford here. http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9342043/2013-nba-draft-chad-ford-jay-bilas-debate-draft-top-point-guards

I took Spurs in 6 and 7 before the series started. If Cleveland passes on Noel who does he think they take? It has to be between BMac, Bennett, or Len.

Cavs pick first and nineteenth. I highly doubt Otto Porter is seriously being considered at that with the first pick. In a previous post I mentioned Bennett as a possibility who would be a better pick then Porter if they want someone to come in and immediately contribute. Either they take Nerlens Noel or they trade back, but who would want to trade into that slot? With Kyrie running the point that team isn't very far off from the playoffs.

There is no way Christ Grant is that dumb. Otto Porter would be the worst number 1 pick of the entire Stern era. The only comparable one would be Kwame Brown. Anthony Bennett would seriously be a better first pick. Noel, BMac, and Bennett are the only players I can rationalize being the top pick.

I used to go back and fourth on MCW and Burke, but neither is very special so I don't see a reason to continue to dwell on it. Some of the passes MCW makes are jaw dropping, but he is such a ***** and can't shoot. Kinda reminds me of when Shaun Livingston came out, although Shaun was higher ranked in his draft. Burke is going to end up a lot closer to DJ Augustine then he ever will Chris Paul. We both agree the off guards are better prospects this year. You are correct that CJ McCollum is not a pg and neither is Erik Green. The McCollum i'm interested in is Ray if he somehow falls to our 2nd.
  14. Mike Bianchi is a huge moron and should not have a job in any context that requires a brain. As for Dwigt I want nothing to do with the guy. No hard feelings. Wish him the best, but the way he acted his last season in Orlando the bridges are burned.

He looked amazing on he first part of the video and then the second half he looks terrible. I admittedly don't know much about him and its really hard to judge a player without actually seeing them in a game. If he ever improves his jumper and stops making dumb plays he could really special, but those are pretty "if's" at this point.

I can buy that. If in your eyes all the players are lumped together in the same talent bracket at that point you start looking at fit and need. Not an Otto Porter fan at all. I think he is going to be terrible. BMac for me with Oli a distant second.

    You entirely missed the point
  18. If the nba is such a pg driven league what makes you think is the guy? Because to me that means there are a lot of good pg's currently in the league which would make Burke just another guy.

I don't feel like going back to find the quote but is that guy who says you don't draft for talent so that you don't stack positions serious? You take talent over need almost everytime and keep doing so until you strike gold. Who cares how good Mo or Toby are because neither are elite. Lets say hypothetically we draft Otto Porter and he is the ****. Now we have ourselves an all star and a valuable trade piece where if we play our cards right we turn into an allstar or another player who does fill a need.

Thomas Robinson getting dumped by Houston. Any interest?

Ask any gm what he thinks of any player on his team and see what the answer is.

Thomas Robinson getting dumped by Houston. Any interest?

I'm all for it. I don't see the moving from Sac to Hou to wherever as a big issue. Its hard to speculate why the Kings traded him. I wonder if the sale of the team had something to do with it? The Rockets move seems motivated by wanting to clear cap space for a run at a big free agent. They also have Motiejunas, Parsons, and Jones at pf. TR has the highest salary of the group. The guy was drafted 5th last year and has talent. Decent athleticism and size. His hustle and energy make him a good rebounder.

If you are referring to the later part of my comment then all of those guys were much different prospects. Brewer has never been a shooter and doesnt have a comparable game. McCants is 6'2 and tends to think he is a dominant player when he is far from that. His biggest issue in college and now is he isnt a very intelligent player and takes many bad shots. Dudes just an idiot. Jarvis Hayes I don't think anyone ever projected him as anymore than a solid team guy. Wes Johnson is kinda interesting. He was kind of a do it all forward in the college who has become a do nothing sg in the pros. And lets bring Thomas Robinson down here. That would be a good pick up.

The fourth best option on a playoff is exactly what he is. With McLemore's shooting, atletisiscm, and ability to play within an offense I don't see him with that low of a ceiling. When watching Oli play he doesn't have a feel for offense. Mostly he just dribbles into people. He'll make some highlight dunks and timely 3's. On a good season I could see him getting around 12 ppg. All these people are saying he had such a high shooting percentage need to apply some context. I need to see another season of it before believing.

If what you are saying is true then just maybe we are rubbing off a little common sense. To me McLemore is clearly the pick unless he goes number 1. Burke is average at best. Otto Porter is going to suck. Oladipo is an energy guy with no offensive talent whatsoever. Bennett is a little interesting but not for my liking.
