We've been horrible all year. This game shouldn't depress you at this point. Of course the third quarter has yet to be played

This post would make total sense almost every game this season except for maybe tonight with us battling the Heat shorthanded and competing

But we won't...

But at least all of our starters are well rested for our playoff run...

It's amazing how impatient some people are. I have no doubt we will make a move. Let's let the move happen.
It’s been an 8 year rebuild and we still have a mediocre team that might grab the 7-8th seed. Any long term fan of this team has a right to be a little impatient at this point. This includes losing patience with Clifford’s rotations and minutes that our key players are getting. This team isn’t going on a deep playoff run. There’s no reason to limit their minutes to save them for anything in particular
-
I think the fact that we seem content to be locked into the 8th seed is pretty lame. So the goal is basically to make the playoffs and get destroyed? That’s why we resigned Vuch and Ross? Pathetic

Isaac with 7 steals at least to go with his 19 and 9. AG off again, somethings not right there, maybe carrying an injury?
I missed this one, just going off the box score.
AG’s “injury” only gets brought up after piss performances. Heard nothing about it after the Philly game

Second time he’s done that. The last time AG got a 5 second call

I will take a look at him. Aminu, DJ and Fournier for Russel and Marquese Chriss wil do.
He's definitely not a good long term fit. That deal gets them out of his contract when Fournier opts out this summer

This team has no urgency. I guess we enjoy sucking

If our bad stretches were just bad and not horrific we'd be fine.
Unfortunately it is. Almost every game

I meant as team, not in the standings, I mean, were a hot mess right now at the very least, regardless of the standings.
-
I can honestly say I have no idea where we go from here. I don't know what this team is or what it is supposed to be

And what I was referencing

DJ to Bazemore for three. Yes sir! Does he get the assist on that?
-
McCollum over Augustine. Yup

1 minute ago, TrueMagicFan07 said:That's mean, magicblue. At least he is helping to prevent this from being a blowout. He is not hogging the ball.
No. its still a blowout

1 minute ago, Fultz4thewin said:We can have an elite defense and we'd still lose to Portland. The reason we're about to be 1-6 over the last 7 against them is because we can't defend their guards in the pick and roll with Vucevic. The one game we did win their guards still combined for 60, the rest of their players just didn't show up
But we don't have an elite defense, so my point remains

Now, tell me DJ shouldn't try to score points. Go ahead, anyone?
I personally prefer the behind the back passes. They are so entertaining

I think it’s funny thinking back to the “Inside the Magic- Chapter 1” when all the guys were in the locker room and they asked Ross about training camp and he was basically like yeah I’ll go through the motions to get it over with but it’s all about the regular season. It’s just so rich in hindsight, for a guy who just got paid and now consistently chucks wide-open, air ball 3’s
-
1 minute ago, Magicpassion said:I think it’s the opposite. The way we’re built we have to score off our defense and if we don’t we don’t have enough firepower on offense.
And we don't play good enough defense in general. We'd have to be a top 3 defense in every category to actually be competitive
-
- Maybe not leaving CJ and Lillard wide open for threes should be part of our scheme? You know, the guys that lead them in scoring and are all star and stuff
-
7 minutes ago, 3rd Quarter Collapse said:We can criticize the offense— it’s certainly worthy of criticism— but this team isn’t going to win giving up 57 on a half. The defense has been going downhill the past month and isn’t even top 10 in defensive rating.
If we’re going to turn it around, it’s going to be when this team remembers it’s identity and plays defense like it has to.
You're applying the correct logic but the issue is our defense flat isn't good enough to offset our straight up abysmal offense. The days of building a team around defense left the NBA probably 8 years ago. It just doesn't work in a league that doesn't allow defense to be played, not even mentioning we don't do it well, especially when you factor in our just horrible pick and roll defense and inability to rebound. Its a complete loss at this point, especially considering how heavily we're relying on the likes of DJ for *****ing 20 ft runners and hook shots just to score a goddamn basket

4 minutes ago, ~O~ said:I guess Portland just got to comfortable with the lead. Portland seems to be in full control. They just nullify the magic runs with runs of their own when necessary.
Also, expect officiating to never be in our favor. You guys know better.
Because they can score and we can't. Every team knows this. We're a *****ing joke

Again, its the timing of the post that's the issue. And maybe the thread
