I'd settle for a smile (preferrably not after missing a dunk, in the 4th quarter of a game were getting destoyed in) or any indication that he's enjoying playing for our team, you know, like the old Dwight. You're right though, he is dominant enough to put up 20pts and 14rbs most nights just by showing up, even while missing half his FT attempts.

His body language is certainly different this year from his first seven years in the league (its not a posture thing) and in my opinion his numbers speak more to his God-given talent than any extra effort or hustle. I'm using the eyeball test to gauge his body language, not the numbers he's putting up, and to me he just looks like he's on auto-pilot and not fully engaged. I don't think others, including board members and media types, would bring this up if they weren't seeing it as well.

This is inaccurate...Jameer certainly is a liability on defense. Both are pretty horrible defensively, but Dwight covers most of Jameer's (and our entire team's) deficiencies by not allowing easy buckets in the lane. Jameer gets broken down constantly and almost any starting caliber PG can simply raise up and shoot over him.

I have no inside information but I don't get the feeling anything has changed. Dwight may be smiling more and not throwing his teammates under the bus as often, but I think that's only because he's finally realized that expressing his displeasure with his teammates and this organization is only making him look like a huge dickhead. His body language still sucks and he still appears to just be going through the motions as far as I can tell. Unless there's a card up Otis's sleeve, I personally don't see anything changing with regards to the trade request. In other words he's not going to just change his mind for no good reason and Otis hasn't given him one yet.

I agree. The thing that really sucks is that even most crappy teams have a player or two to be excited about. Moving forward, the only guys we know will be here are JRich, BBD and Turk if we can't pawn him off with Dwight. In other words there's nothing to be excited about whatsoever

Missed opportunity there. Like many have mentioned, he might have been a very nice addition and at the very leasy would have been a cheap tradeable asset. Otis is really terrible, he takes a chance on Arenas with his awful contract but not this guy on a cap friendly contract? Makes no sense to me
