Is it just me or, at times, does it almost seem like we are trying to suck? -

Of course Utah is gonna let LA off the hook and back their way into the playoffs the easy way -

Not sure if anyone is actually rooting for a loss. It's more of a "if we lose, at least maybe there's a silver lining" kind of thing. Personally I'd love it if both us and Charlotte won! -

If by "someone" you mean Wade and if by "foul" you mean stand three feet outside the restricted area and get run over...then the answer is I don't know. -

I wish we had a guy who could get away with just running through set defensive players and get the benefit of the whistle every MF'ing time. The Heat have two -

A win tonight, when Miami has nothing to play for and are sitting Lebron, Bosh, and Chalmers is in no way, shape, or form a "signature win". Not to mention you've completely changed the subject of your earlier posts from "we shouldn't want to have the best chance because we actually don't" to "why would we want the best chance when this draft sucks". Plus we're down 13, so again...fail. -

I admire how you still managed to squeeze a mention of the ping-pong balls and the draft somewhere in the middle of all that. This game will not determine whether or not we suck, our 60+ losses takes care of that for us. I hope we win, I never route against my team...but who gives a poop? -

Seriously? Dude...stop. You're taking an aberration, something that happens by chance, and assigning a probability to it. If you flip a coin 10 times and heads comes up 7 of the ten, does the probability of flipping heads in the future increase? Before you hurt yourself...no, it does not. -
So I'll ask again, are you saying that if Hinrich had gone to another college he would be a better NBA player? Is that what you're saying? Lets break it down. Most elite players spend what, one...two years tops in college? Not a ton of grooming going on in that amount of time but, regardless, a combination of work ethic and talent almost always prevails when it comes to translation and success in the NBA. Like I posed to you before, if Lebron had gone to Kansas for a year would that somehow legitimize the program in your mind and magically make McLemore a better prospect? That's essentially what you're implying. Couldn't I also make the exact opposite case and say that Kansas is actually due to produce an elite NBA player? Obviously I could, but why would I? That argument wouldn't based on anything that has to do with scouting McLemore, analyzing his skill set, his strengths, or his weaknesses...just like yours doesn't. In short, its complete hyperbole. Look at and analyze the player. The school he comes from, and that school's history or perceived lack thereof, means absolutely nothing and is essentially irrelevant. Look no further than last years draft, and this years soon to be ROY, as an example. Edit: One more question. If Wiggins winds up at FSU and we suck/luck into the first pick, should we pass on him because FSU "isn't very good at grooming talent for the next level"? Hell, they've never produced an NBA superstar
-
I would think so. Not Otis, but yes
-
That's the only reason I wouldn't trade Afflalo right away. Make McLemore earn his playing time.
-
So are you saying if Hinrich went to a different college he would somehow be a better NBA player? Or if Lebron had gone to Kansas for a year and then come out, would that somehow legitimize future NBA prospects out of Kansas? I'm trying to follow your logic here.
-
Assuming we have the worst record, the absolute lowest we will pick is 4th
-
You can't condemn a guy, or judge him more harshly, just because the school hasn't produced prospects to the standard you feel is adequate. I mean you can, but it makes no sense. There's plenty of aspects of McLemore's game that can be critiqued but being a Kansas product isn't one of them.
-
My only question is, can he run an offense? I know he can score, and I'm not opposed to the idea, but I just don't know that much about him and have never seen him play.
-
Wouldn't that actually make Smart the biggest loser? Never liked Smart at #1 overall, would've been okay with him at 3 or 4 though. Noel or bust
-
We mine as well end up at #4 if we're just going to pick Burke. I would assume we'd trade down to get him if that's Henny's guy

You're probably right, but if he's a top 3 shot blocker, plays defense, and rebounds it won't matter. I'm not worried about this team on the offensive end moving forward with the young guys developing and next years draft ahead of us. I'm much more concerned with getting a shot blocking, defensive big man. -

You should have said he was putting up great numbers against terrible centers instead of poor teams then, if that was the point you were trying to make. He had a great game in LA vs. Dwight, so even that statement wouldn't really be accurate. Basically your saying it doesn't count if he puts up great numbers against centers that he's better than, essentually holding the fact that he's better than them against him. I suppose you could make the same argument about Dwight's numbers over the last 5 years, since he's been the consensus top center in the league over that span -

Maybe because we don't have the playoffs to look forward to? This season was completely bearable... I'd definitely take it over the 2003-04 season when T-Mac quit and we had no promising players to speak of. That roster was wretched
