Damn. I didn’t pay good money for my son and I not to see Embiid play! If we lose now I’m not going back for a while

The starters didn’t come in sluggish, Fournier started playing iso ball and stopped moving the ball on offense. Then AG followed suit. When we do that on offense we fail. Not sure why this team is so stubbornly opposed to ball movement, but when the ball stops it’s almost always Fournier, AG, or Aminu off the bench. Surely Cliff has “watched the film” and should be able to point this out and address it by now

Yep. Cliff is way to rigid with his rotations and way too in love with the idea of having to play MCW's. If we must play MCW's, at least put him on whoever is lighting DJ up that particular night

Would finally end the Vuc/Fournier love tandem so that's one positive right there

Something tells me AG is getting dealt. Would be nice to include Fournier and get someone back who can actually score the rock (CJ McCollum?)

What I don’t get is in camp Weltman said Markelle was good to go, no restrictions. Now we’re hearing he’s on a strict 24mpg regimen. As someone else just said, if he’s feeling good enough to play 24 he shouldn’t have any trouble asking 6-8 more minutes on a given night when need be. Here’s the other thing. If we’re gonna play him 24 then maximize that time by running high screen and rolls and let him be a monster during that time. We started out the game last night running that and it looked unstoppable and then Cliff immediately stop running it. If the ****s working, make them stop it! Brogdan ran the same pick and roll and hit 3-4 shots straight from the exact same spot and don’t even get me started on McConnell in the 4th just abusing DJ. If something is working, run the **** out of it and at the very least don’t relegate our most dynamic offensive player to the dude who brings the ball up court, hands it off to Fournier, and then goes and stands in the corner. If you’re going to, then there’s no reason he should be on minute restriction. He’s not going to injure himself dribbling the ball up court. Unleash Fultz!

He's fine at 18-20mpg but shouldn't have been in past 8:00min mark of the 4th

Right but who says its restrictions not Cliff's rigidity?

Cliff seemingly is incapable of making in-game subs

I've heard that but have seen nothing official confirming it

I mean unless he's injured, Fultz should be playing 30mpg

No. Cliff is just ridiculously rigid with his substitution patterns and rode the wrong PG

Now that the game's over he subs in Fultz

This one's on Cliff. Left the starters on the bench way too long and DJ should have been out of the game when McConnell started torching him.

    Could Fultz and Russell coexist?

I think they could. At the very least I’d be interested in finding out. Each is a young asset so we wouldn’t be strung by taking a shot on him

So who gets dumped? Fournier’s expiring? AG for a legit SG?

So when do we start running more of our offense though JI? He’s been our most consistent player and most efficient scorer, but he gets less shots than any other starter outside of Fultz. Speaking of Fultz, it seems like reigns are on him. Is this Cliff holding him back or is it lack of aggressiveness on his part. Not complaining, I’m really pleased with what I’ve seen but just wondering when/if he might be unleashed?

    Magic @ Mavericks - Wednesday, Nov. 6th at 8:30 P.M.

I think that's a great comp and was actually thinking the same. It will be really interesting to see if Cliff eventually takes the training wheels off and lets Fultz freelance a bit more. Seems to me all he does in the halfcourt sets is get the ball to Fournier/Vuc and just heads for the corner. He's capable of so much more than that and I'm hoping they're just consciously easing him into the offense.

Probably meant he's not working as hard because he's not in a contract year and already feels he proved himself by making the All-Star team and leading us to a first round playoff exit.

Even if we had the point remains. You just can’t win games in today’s NBA with that kind of shooting. I could kick the goddamn ball in 3 out of 22 times

    Magic @ Thunder - Tuesday, Nov. 5th at 8:00 P.M.

You can’t win in today’s NBA shooting 3-22 from three no matter how good the defense is. We need a legit #1, night in and night out, scoring option. This is gonna be a long ****’in season
