from a mavs fan, congratulations guys..i like howard in a mavs uniform as i would any great player. but its great he is staying in orlando... its even better that nets dont get him...so good luck to you guys and hopefully nothing changes by tomorrow...i think dwight had a nice long talk with his family and they eventually persuaded him...it was the media feeding us so called "dwight said this". but he is still not a drama queen...indecisive, but not a drama queen :)

funny thing is...mavs could offer Beuabois,Marion,Haywood for howard straight up...i just dont know if mavs OR Orlando would do it...i guess that would fix alot of problems...but problem is, mavs dont want to take on any extra cap...i think orlando's best bet Atm is to just sit tight...guys who started with lockout legs will not have them at the end of the season...Real killer is Hedo...his contract is HORRIBLE!!!!...Orlando really needs to think about how they spend their money...i dont know who is responsible for that, but they overpay regularly...

Whats up with everyone not thinking that Orlando is a contender? Im not even a magic fan and i believe they have a chance, i think they have a shot at the east. i think Chi is Madly overrated. Heat could give orlando problems though. its kind of like last year, Mavs were knocked out 3/4 years in the first round and look they won it all. i really do think orlando can make it to the finals. wasnt it like 3years ago when orlando made it to the finals?...plus this is a weird season, Regular season doesnt mean crap...and its funny that just because of this whole Dwight howard drama that orlando is automatically out of the finals Picture. i truly believe orlando can make it to atleast ECF...but we will see

From what ive seen on here, there are alot of idiots saying HAHA DWIGHT's COMING TO BROOKLYN or crap like that. im a mavs fan and as much as i would like to have dirk,deron,dwight on my team. i think the best thing to do to save his reputation and money is to stay in Orlando.because If you want to win championships-Dallas. and if you want to be all about the fame-Nets. and also if dwight stays in orlando it works for the mavs favor as deron would come to Dallas. my main concern used to be that NJ would be the frontrunner for dwight but it looks as if now he is more likely to stay than to go to NJ.back to my subject...some people are just so obnoxious and it seems like the people who are, are typically the fans of crappy franchises...just my observations...so from your "enemy" i just want to say, Good luck with your situation

well...Devos is an idiot for wanting veterans and no expiring TBH,it closes doors on alot of stuff because "good" vets are typically paid well and the ones that seem reasonable are expiring,also...another thing that hurts the whole "Dwight trade" is that he has a list of the Lakers,Mavs,and Nets...lakers almost excluded...so if you subtract all the teams that dont want a rental and what do you have?...you have maybe 3-4 teams interested in making a trade,and alot of the time, its not exactly what you want...so lets evaluate the teams willing to either "rent/trade" for howard.....Nets offer-Lopez/Marshon/Bad Picks....Mavs offer-Roddy/Wright/Marion/Haywood/picks....Lakers Morris/Bynum/Picks.....Golden State- Curry/Beidrins/Dorell/picks..... these are VERY limited offers for the circumstances.of course you can add other teams, but they are going to want something in return too and that means that the player you want might not exactly go to you...Its all a level playing field in terms of "Trading"...but for a 1/1 team trade i think the mavericks offer is not bad BY COMPARISON...Marshon and Lopez have inflated stats due to "Bad team bumped stats" syndrome

for dwight...yes, nothing is going to match up to him except Lebron, but this is really not a bad trade if you HAVE to trade him...i do think this is significantly better than the Nets offer though

Dwight Howard/Ishmael Smith/Deandre Liggins for Brendan Haywood(12.9PER but defensive monster)(Rodrigue Beaubois(17.1PER)/Brandan Wright(23.7PER)/Shawn Marion(16.7PER)..i know this is not the best value for Dwight...but really nothing is...this is a mavs fan offer...What do you guys think?...this or the Wallace/Marshon/Lopez +5bad picks?...btw the mavs are a good team ,most of our players are good so you really dont get inflated stats like you get from NJ...and note...rodrigue is a VERY talented player...i hate to say it but the mavs are holding him back...but i think going forward. Brandan Wright/Roddy/Anderson is a decent group for future...1 (great) draft player from being contender again
