WTF????? Not playing Redick until the 2nd and 4th quarters. And he had, what, 17 minutes? Isn't he supposed to be our 6th man? He was the only one playing with heart and passion tonight. Also Anderson got not one minute in the 2nd and Stan is playing Quentin Richardson way too much (the dude just flat out sucks right now). And playing Richardson with a gimpy knee for the last 7 minutes of the game instead of Redick, who is definitely this teams best decision maker not named Turk. I blame not only the lack of heart this team has but the awful rotations of SVG. Just bad coaching.

The only person who can stop JJ Redick is Stan Van Gundy.

The thing is, though, it is broken because there is NO way we will beat ANY good teams starting games off the way we have been. JJ needs to play starters minutes and most likely start for this team to win against good teams or to go anywhere in the playoffs. The dude is a flat out pro, and J-Poor (lol) can't even touch Redick's understanding and poise on both ends of the floor. Redick has turned into a complete scorer, is starting to get to the FT line a lot (something I already knew he could do), creating his own shot, running the pick and roll to perfection, and getting to the rim and creating. If given 34 min. per game, there is no doubt in my mind he would avg. 18+ PPG on the year. He's just so active on offense, but SVG needs to let him move WITHOUT the ball more often.

This was what I thought Otis was going for when he signed those two, and I, like most everyone else, was suprised when we resigned J-Rich. What's the purpose of having 3 back-up SG's and no true back-up center? You'd think Otis would think about trading Richardson, but knowing Otis, he's not that smart. I'd like to go after Luke Ridinour; he'd fit the Magic well.

The thing is, I know Redick will never start over J-Rich no matter how well JJ does and no matter how bad Jason stinks, and I think it's messed up. JJ is clearly the better overall player on both sides of the court (esp. defensively) but the politics of the NBA will prevent Redick from playing ahead of Richardson. It's just stupid to me. I am also sure Dwight would love for JJ to start, not only because he has earned it, but because he is the best man for the job.

I understand, but I was trying to say that JJ is not a guy like Jet or JC in that I think he is more suited to start and play starters minutes to get the most out of his game.

JJ is ready to be an NBA starter, and in my opinion will shoot a lot better starting. I DO NOT think that JJ is best suited to come off the bench with limited minutes and provide instant offense because this limits what he can do. If JJ is able to get into the rhythm and flow of the game, watch out. He has become such an active player and looks like a mini Turk out there. I don't like how Van Gundy brings him into the game, runs the offense around him, lets him create for himself and others the first couple of minutes he is in (scored 8 in the 1st quarter tonight), then just have him stand in the corner for the next 7 minutes before he's quickly yanked (didn't score again til the 3rd quarter). If JJ is given more of a chance to shine, IMO, he could become one of the best shooters in the league. He has lost confidence shooting the 3 and you can see it (hesitated on his first WIDE OPEN 3 point attempt). Compare Richardson and JJ's season averages. IDGAF if we resigned J-Rich; START JJ REDICK. Also, Big Baby Davis has turned to be an even bigger black hole than Bass, which I previously thought was a feat impossible for a player to accomplish. Congratulations to him. Oh yeah, and that Ryan Anderson guy really stinks (Comic Sans). /rant. BTW, nice to meet yall.

Is it safe to say the Magic are now planning to start JJ at SG? Von Wafer as a back up, and Larry Hughes the old scrub (I hate that guy). BTW, I posted this on the main thread but no one responded, so I'm posting it here, lol.
