Magic vs. Nets Game Thread - Jan. 28, 2013
hoopslife21 replied to Soul Bro's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Harkless looked good as did Vucevic. The rest of the team looked like crap and looked like they didn't even want to be there honestly. Looks like some of the players have checked out at this point. sportsdivide.com -
If you're Orlando you have to take that trade. Can't pass by a chance to get a legitimate star. Plus the Magic would be horrible for the next 2 seasons as he gets better so they would be able to build through the draft and add a Jabari Parker or Wiggins to the lineup when Rondo would be 100% again. www.sportsdivide.com

Nicholson's patience is absurd. He looks like he's drinking cocktails at a beach while doing post moves. Dude is so relaxed and smooth. Teams will have to start double teaming him because he can't be stopped 1 on 1 by a normal PF. The defensive end is an entirely different story though. He has a ton of work to become a good defender. A ton.

The Dwight Howard Drama Unfolds
hoopslife21 replied to Live or Die Magic's topic in The Thread Hall of Fame
Ping occasionally gets legit info. The problem is the agents (or whoever his source is) keep feeding him lies to manipulate teams as well. So he probably is fed a ton of bull from his sources and legit info like 10% of the time. -
The Official Dwight Howard Everything Thread

So Phili trades Iggy, Turner and Holiday for Ryan, JJ and Teague. Wow... -
@MisterRudolph aka Jarrod Rudolph on twitter about Deron Williams to Orlando

So Catman do you have any "legit" inside information you can share with us then? -
Yep. That article makes it pretty clear that he wants out. But, I still think Orlando should make a push and see how good the team can be before the trade deadline. At that point if it's still pretty obvious he's gone then trade him. But, and it's a big but... If the team looks like a contender roll the dice and try to make it deep in the playoffs. If Orlando makes it to the Conference Finals or further he might want to try another run with the Magic. http://www.sportsdivide.com

WE'RE HEADING TOWARDS DECERTIFICATION!
hoopslife21 replied to Trey Time's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
The players should have decertified months ago. I don't know what they were waiting for as it was obvious that the Owners weren't going to give them the deal they wanted. Even players like Deron Williams are starting to complain about not doing it during the summer. The Players Union screwed up big time and they even saw the NFL Players Union do it! They have a freaking example of how it's done and they did nothing. Hunter is horrible... http://www.sportsdivide.com -
I would say the Detroit Piston series in which the Magic where up 3-1. Orlando was up 3-1, T-Mac had never played better, Gooden was only a rookie and outplaying Ben Wallace and I thought Orlando finally had a good big. Then, Prince steps up and shuts down T-Mac and they lose 3 in a row. It was horrible. I'll never forget that series and how pissed I was after game 7. I was in total dismay. http://www.sportsdivide.com

It's only good if somehow this creates more parity in the league because teams have less time together and the Magic win the Championship because of that. He would pretty much have to stay at that point to try and Defend the Championship. http://www.sportsdivide.com

Fans Should Show NBA They Want BBall Back By Boycotting Bball (Schmitz)
hoopslife21 replied to Tough Break There's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Boycotting the league would accomplish absolutely nothing. The league will keep going and everyone that is a true fan will eventually come back. So, rather pointless honestly... http://www.sportsdivide.com -
I don't have a problem with Dwight if he leaves. He did what he could with this team for 7 seasons and management hasn't done him any favors. Look at the returning roster for next season. Adding a mid-level exception player doesn't make that a championship team and with the salary cap hole management has dug there isn't any hope in sight for a while. I would commend Dwight if he stays and really hope he does... But, can you really blame him if he leaves?? http://www.sportsdivide.com
