$5 Seating in the New Arena? How does that work?
HerdNation replied to Bubhubbajub's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
the new scoreboard is going to be huge...4 times as big as the previous and in HD. also, there are no "windows" in the bars/restaurants that face the court...it's all open-air with seating near the bowl. -
For those think Q. Rich's defense is as good as Barnes witness Mr. Hollinger(Insider)
HerdNation replied to ball junkie's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
you sign players for what they will do, not what they did do. the forecast here is that barnes won't do much. he's an athletic player with no real skill--not a good shooter, poor passer, doesn't finish as well as he should. barnes played extremely hard and that should not be discounted; as a fan, i appreciate and respect him for his effort. but that effort is not going to help when his over-30 athleticism slips and he has no skills to fall back on. barnes killed us in the playoffs, specifically boston. we were basically playing 4 on 5 on the offensive end w/ Pierce roaming like a strong safety (mostly for doubles on dwight). as the wing defender, he didn't do much to slow down pierce. and that "toughness?" where was it? nowhere to be found until we're down 0-2, down 20 in game 3. thanks for finally showing up when it doesn't matter anymore. -
jeremy pargo would have been a better poll option than jannero. Jeremy had a nice summer league in orlando...

Weisbroad? That's insulting. Best GM this organization ever had. Show some respect, manboobs! no PW?

i'm guessing it will be "other." it will probably be someone young who played in the Summer League that will play for the league minimum.

keon weise to be promoted to head trainer. good job keon.

ridnour is a better pick'n'roll offensive player than duhon...sort of a poor man's jameer. duhon is much better defensively which fits a need.

let's face it: this is all moot. Barnes isn't coming back. Thanks for the memories. GLTS.

So the GM's decision is really wether to disappoint his large fan base (people who give money to the franchise) or to make a good basketball move which would obviously be not to resign him. That is not to replace JJ (with a cheaper version of him) but to spend the money on a TEAM need. So, we are going to get rid of our best bench player who is one of the best 3 point shooter on the team, in the midst of developing his game, who also have a great BB IQ and not yet in his prime...and that's for the best of the team? As for "crippling", no we have bigger contracts on this team that have already "crippled" our future improvements. We might as well continue improving what we got. And if Otis trade Vince during the February deadline, like some suggest, the luxury tax would not be as much as we think. If I'm not mistaken, luxury tax is calculated at the end of the season. But whatever, to me, the decision isn't really that hard. wow. i almost always disagree with what you say but this is my exact sentiment. totally agree it's an easy decision.

Bower/Hornets Part Ways. CP3 still a chance?
HerdNation replied to Magician09's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
for a CP3 trade to happen, here are a few things to wish for: Bower = fired Shinn can't sell team NO starts off bad and stinks for most of the season Collison blows up NO is out of the West playoff race by ASW the top assets on the team are dwight (untradeable), jameer, gortat and VC's expiring contract which doesn't become attractive until closer to the trade deadline b/c teams want to pay as little cash as possible to VC. so, nothing big is going to happen until then and we will just have to hope that NO sucks but collison's play makes Paul "expendable." -
is this even a legit question? JJ no doubt. does it really matter if JJ makes more than barnes? at this point, take the better player. btw, when will we miss barnes' toughness? on a tuesday in february? his playoff "toughness" was about as evident as vince's ability to take over post season games.

buh-bye, barnes.

who starts? Jeff Adrien Joe Crawford Paul Davis Pat Ewing Jr. Trey Glider Yaroslav Korolev Ben McCauley Daniel Orton Jerome Randle Stanley Robinson Sean Singletary Vladimir Stimac Curtis Stinson Donell Taylor

this is the best Chris Paul trade scenario i've seen on the boards...it's actually a realisitc deal.

For some reason, the Grizz didn't tender him an offer by the end of June so he is no longer a RFA but an unrestricted FA. is this someone you would want to see on the team; defender, slasher, not a lights out shooter. the Magic worked him out but drafted JJ instead. thoughts?
