    Jareth's Tweet Party!

There is no possibility that we made a deal for Chris Paul, but currently are waiting for it to be approved by all the other teams before it is announced is there?

Yeah it would be interesting to know, but it might make us more sad to know what could have been the rest of the season. Maybe that Catman character will hear something from his source.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=69ftc6n This is a deal Otis should get involved in. The Blazers want Crash and want to get rid of Przy, Miller and Rudy. Jordan wants to clear some cap while still keeping some fan interest in the team. The Magic need defense in a huge way. Miller and Rudy are known for their ability to create the flashy alley oop plays consistently on offense, but what is over looked is their hustle on defense. Miller gives us a veteran leader who is tough on the court. He takes pride in locking up his man as well as creating plays running the offense. Rudy just flat out hustles. You watch any Blazer game and this guy just goes non stop. He is a solid defender and has the ability to play all 3 backcourt positions. Diaw give us what Bass doesn't....defense. Add to that the fact that he is a great passer out of the PF position. While not huge at 6-8, I think he could give us the stretch-4 on O and the defense we need on D. Adding those 3 to the starting line up would be deadly. We could produce points on offense while also not being lazy on D. When second unit comes off the bench to add a spark it will only add to our lead. Arenas will benefit from playing with a guy like Pryz at Center in the second unit because he won't have to create plays for him like he does for Dwight. Before ORL, Arenas never had a big like Howard. What he did have was another guy who could play high tempo and hit the 3 ball. That's why he has such a good connection with JJ and Ryno. Miller/Rudy/Hedo/Diaw/Howard 1st unit Arenas/JJ/Clark/Ryno/Przy 2nd unit While not super flashy, I think it could be just the right mix to get us where we need to be to compete for a championship.

Yeah I was thinking more along the lines of his contract ending the same year as Dwight's opposed to Duhon's 4 year deal. I like the trade based solely on getting rid of Duhon and gaining Crash/Diaw.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4tmwlpv I wish Otis would make this deal. Crash would provide the back court defender we need and Diaw isn't shabby at defense when he applies himself. Diaw is also a very good passer out of the PF position.

With that proposed deal the Nets would have 36 million free this summer to sign free agents. Kirilenko, David West, Zach Randolph, Yao Ming, Nene, JR Smith and Tyson Chandler will all be available. Plus they have a plethora of picks left still. That could be a good situation for a guy like Randolph to come in and grab a max contract while helping the team out with its horrible rebounding. Nelson/Morrow/Kirilenko/Z.Randolph/Lopez would be a pretty good starting five IMO.

The Nets were said to want to acquire Gallinari and Felton from the Nuggets if a trade was made between them and the Knicks went through. We should offer them J Rich, Jameer, Bass, a 1st and the rights to Milovan Rakovic for Deron, Petro and Outlaw. J Rich is better than Gallinari and Felton is one of the only Point Guards that Nelson completely owns. Bass gives them a nice replacement for the loss of Favors. Then we could turn around and package Duhon, Outlaw and a 2nd to the Cavs for Jamison.

We need Dwight's side kick superstar.... http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6ksph8s Grizzlies get the rights to Rubio and Fran! or http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4v7lgvm We get Rubio's rights and they get two 1st rounds and a second. Rambis has to find playing time for Anthony Randolph after all...

After that Deron trade, I don't think anything is impossible in NBA trades.... Get this done Otis: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=472cnpr This is the best way to secure Dwight long term!

I'm surprised Prokhorov didn't try to get his buddy AK47 in the deal as well.
  11. It wasn't a thread idea, it was a post about a trade idea within the Randolph thread. As far as this trade, we get two bigs and a very similar player to J Rich. In your opinion what makes this a bad trade for the Magic?
  12. Morrow would be very similar to J rich in our offense. He shoots threes at a very high percentage and rarely drives to the hoop.
  13. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4vdy76q I know my last trade idea didn't go over well, but this one is a bit more realistic. The Nets are desperate for a star and Deron Williams can be that face for them. Kirilenko played for the Nets owner in Russia and has nothing but good things to say about Prokhorov. Prokhorov shares the same feeling for AK47. Deron Williams is another guy who may look to bolt to another team in position for a title once his contract is up. Devin Harris on the other hand is not that type of player and the Jazz would have Harris under contract for 3 years. J Rich is another player that isn't necessarily going to look for greener pastures, but he does have an expiring contract (just like Kirilenko), which gives the team the option to extend him if they wish to do so. With this trade they would also receive a 2 first round picks. In the Carmelo deal the Nets were trying to get rid of Murphy and Petro to the Pistons while also giving them a 2nd round pick to take on the contracts. The Magic could pick these two up by dealing J Rich's expiring to the Jazz, while also getting back a similar player to J rich in Morrow for our trade exception.

    Zach Randolph a target?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4ostjam On February 18th we can include the players from the Suns trade. We could add Earl Clark, our 2011 2nd and our 2012 1st to the Nuggets. After those additions this trade would be very fair for all parties involved. The Nuggets would rid themselves of Harrington and gain a top 5 PF in Randolph who they can offer a large extension too. Teaming him and Nene up in the front court would be very solid. Clark has the capability to start at small forward giving them a very big line-up to go along with Billups and Affalo/Smith as the starting five. The Grizzlies could do a number of things after this trade. This gives them the flexibility to sign Gasol Long term or trade him along with Mayo for maybe someone like Kevin Love. A Grizz starting line-up of Conley at PG, Allen at SG, Gay at SF, Love at PF and Thabeet at C would be pretty solid. Then they would have Nelson, Young and Bass coming off the bench. Our goal is to keep Howard by way of winning a championship. Maybe he could sell Melo on the idea of not taking the option on his contract and giving the Orlando situation this year and next year to try and win back to back championships. If they don't win this year they can try next year and if they don't win next year they can both head out to NYK or LA together. I know Jason Williams inclusion would seem odd, but he wanted playing time. He would be the second string option here in Orlando again by way of the trade. Orlando would need a 3rd option at point in which they could bring back Alston or perhaps even Melo's buddy Iverson worst case.
