Shabazz you're going to be a great one to watch. Can you say train wreck.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say no. Not at all.
This team's philosophy is building with high character guys from within. High profile highly paid free agents just don't fit the plan.

Soul's Thoughts - Game 2:
- Victor - Love his aggressiveness attacking the rim. We NEED that!!! (Yes, he forced some shots, but that'll improve).
- Lamb - Ballin' baby
- Nicholson - Much better today. Sped his game up and more aggressive.
- Moe - Love his aggressiveness but his outside shot is still a work in progress
- O'Quinn - Even though he's playing C, I think he should be our starting PF next to Vooch. Haslem 2.0
- Osby - Back to earth. I think he's a SF.
Overall, the word for today is aggressive. Love it!!!
Agreed, Nicholson did look better today. Even though VO5 couldn't make a jumper at least he got to the lane. I don't think he's a point guard (yet). Overall it looks like Lamb and KO have made some real progress now I hope the coaching staff can.

Wow, do you realize you just dropped the basketball version of "if you love someone, set them free"? It's not you Jameer, it's us. :sadcrab:/>/>
Now that's funny.

It was an interesting game to watch, but if you think about it the Magic had 60 percent of it's starting line up on the floor and probably at least 7 or 8 roster players. As far as wins and loses they should outclass every summer league team. That being said "I like this team".

I just watched the Introduction presser and if these two guys game is anywhere as high as their character we will all be very happy.

I hate the Oli nickname. Dipo isn't that good either but I think it's better
VO 5

Just WOW

I was worried Doc Rivers could screw this up for us.
That's exactly what I was thinking. With Doc being there I would imagine he would like more than two days to evaluate his roster. I don't see the Clips pulling a fast trigger on anything just yet.

cody zellar
I would lose all respect for hennie
This is just a CYA move in case Hene trades down and his real target escapes him. Just covering all the bases.

I think we all agree, there's nothing like a good young piece.

It's just comforting to know that Henny won't be stretching for some washed up over paid free agent ie Tyreek or Monte. It's also amazing that everyone has such a good feeling for a 20 win team.

What, no Morlon Wiley?

Matty was the most professional, knowledgeable and unbiased commentator ever. This is so obvious when watching NBA TV games with those hack homers from Boston or Cleveland calling a game. Matty you're a class act thank you.

Nothing better than watching Dwight D-bag Howard's team getting torched by 30 on their home court to go down 0-3 in the playoffs.
Did you check out Duhon's stat line. Another thin of beauty also.

I'd have to agree, because as much potential as Harkless and Harris may have at the forward position, the chance to grab a (potentially) franchise changing star like Wiggins or Parker might be too good to miss, and that is why I feel that in the 2014 draft we won't target a PG in the first round unless we get an extra first round pick in a trade.
For me, I think we'll either end up taking Burke or Noel with our pick this year. Burke gives us the potential replacement for Jameer; though if we go for Noel, he gives us a dominant defensive presence on the court. I'm not sure which we'll go for, or for that matter, which I prefer. But both guys could be good fits with this team, though if we do go for the latter we do have options in trading for a PG or signing one in the 2014 free agency: John Wall, Eric Bledsoe, Ricky Rubio, or Norris Cole. Some are more realistic than others, but all of them could be options to replace Nelson with. Of the lot I think we could perhaps persuade the Clippers to trade Bledsoe for Nelson, because Bledsoe could be our answer at PG for the future, while Nelson could be an excellent impact player for them; and the same goes for the Heat, though I don't think they would have the cap space to take on a contract like Nelson's.
So while we could go for a PG in the 2014 draft, I think it is more likely we will go for one in this year's draft if we take the drafting route. If we don't, then I'd expect us to trade for one (perhaps Bledsoe or Cole), or go for one in free agency (Wall, Bledsoe if he gets that far, Rubio if he hits the market, or Cole). Any of them would do for me, but I'll back whatever decision Henny makes. If he goes for Noel this year and takes a PG next year, then so be it.
Good post except for the Norris Cole part. If we got him I would stick an ice pick in my ear.

I'm probably a little late on this but Dennis Schroeder looks kind of nice.
Thanks for using Probably instead of Prolly

You think late 1st round? Or are you saying 3rd rounder??
Third round? When did we get a third round?

Felt sorry for Harkless, had a poor shooting day so he drove to the basket like you're meant to and got hacked on at least 5 shots but got no calls. Things might have gone different for him if he got some free throws.
Refs win again.
-
Bad shooting night from Mo and Beno plus Vuch being out. Heat were 3 point crazy and the Magic can't get a foul call around the basket to save their lives. That's the result you get.
However my prediction is we win the last game of the season.
-
LBJ 38: min per game and only 1.5 fouls per. Yes Refs win.

'Let's move to Colorado because of great weather!' said no one ever.
They don't move there for the weather. Nice scenery and job opportunities are the reasons for that. Denver gets six months of 30 degree or lower temps. You can't compare that to FL.
I lived in Denver for six years and they have great weather. Because of the low humidity some days in winter it can be 45 deg and you can walk around in shorts. Where if it is 45 deg here you're freezing your rear off.

Kobe's comments on the play that injured his ankle:
http://www.nba.com/2013/news/03/13/kobe-bryant-ankle-injury.ap/index.html
The video attached does appears to show the leg of the Hawks player going under Kobe so maybe it should have been a foul, I don't know. But Kobe wants revenge?
They might be doomed is he misses more than a few games. While Utah is losing too much, Dallas appears to maybe be coming on strong. Really though, I bet hack a Howard will be in full gear the next game if Kobe is out.
Of course we get the typical total over reaction and the NBA saying this should have been called a foul. Kobe says Jones tried to Jalen Rose him the way i see it Kobe tried to Reggie Miller him with that right foot kick out trying to get a foul. I didn't here the NBA coming out after the Magic Heat game saying that BS foul on Battier wasn't a foul even though that was the worst call ever. Lakers Lakers Heat Heat give me a break.

Lakers are only 2 games out of the 8 spot with 23 games to play. A virtual playoff lock. Just ask David Stern.

I agree Oladipo is going to get his minutes somewhere either 1 or 2. I think if we don't either trade Baby or AA Harkless sadley may be the odd man out.
