The game was lost when the Knick's didn't have to set a play to score. They just kept shooting like it was practice.
Other than that, still happy I made the game thread. Better than nothing. Someone mentioned that the Knicks are underachieving. The Magic are too. We're already have a dark roster spot with Hedo there. We've signed 4th rank players. The Magic won't aren't playing players who would actually make a difference out there. by keeping them on the injured list or handing out DNP CD. All for the lottery. You have to underachieve to get a better spot in the lottery.
As long as we keep taking the "cautious approach" with our high ankle sprains and contusions I think we can wrap up last place in the east. Out west though Utah really scares me.

It looked like the team was working hard out there but Out Rebounded by 22 without Vooch is hard to overcome.

Once again heat win a game on a no call from the refs. Lebron clearly interfered with the basket on an Al Jefferson put back with 20 seconds left that would have tied the game. There's no call and Chalmers runs down court for an easy basket to put Heat up by 4.
It's getting to be the WWE. Lebron James has never committed a foul.

I think it'd be interesting to target Otto Porter Jr. Washington has a good core and AA and Baby could push them into the serious category. Keep in mind, AA easily slides to SF. Hmmm...
That would be interesting. What about Dion Waiters?

I almost don't like this team tanking. The Eastern conference is fecal matter on a corn dog stick while Western Conference has 4 teams at 50 percent and non of them seeded. What a mess.
The Knicks and Brooklyn have to start playing better eventually.

he repaired the injury so it will be at least 6 months before a return. If you remove it out it is a short period. That is what brandon roy did and it ruined his career.
The only problem with re attaching the meniscus is there is very little blood flow to cartilage and it often gets re injured.

Rose goes down
M. Gasol goes down
Hmmmmmm....
Meer, get packed!!!
Baby, get healthy!!!
That's how I see it.

Interesting game, 8 minutes played by Orlando power forwards.
-
Afflalo decided to go McGrady tonight...he must really want to be traded.
His stock is up. Please trade him now.
-
Nick is the only choice at this time to get his # retired. A very good player and still loyal to the cause.

Then we have to listen to them complain about why the wheels came off after the middle of December like last year.
Most of us have lived through that idiocy once, and have no interest in doing it again.
You've got a point there.

One of the only downsides I can see from this game is that Nicholson and Afflalo shot a combined 9/32. But they contributed otherwise and we won, so it's all good.
Nicholson didn't shoot his usual efficient percentage but he has never been this aggressive. If he continues to play like that he could turn out to be a very interesting piece to the puzzle.

It's been 5 games! Last year the magic were 12-13 before ending up winning 8 more games all year. The Bobcats started 7-5 last year and got a top 5 pick. Why don't people understand this?
Come on man, let em have some fun.
-
looks like it'll be NYs pick, prob high teens or low 20s. does anyone know the protections on phillys 2015 pick? we could get a really good pick if the protection isn't too harsh
Our second 1st rounder is looking pretty good to me right now. The Knicks don't look that good, Tyson Chandler got hurt last night, if he misses a few games we know they have no defense. Melo chucks up 30 shots a game gets tired or just starts pouting they could be pretty bad. Also Denver hasn't won yet. Their roster doesn't look that good especially in the west and they have a new coach. Who knows, we could get a real solid pick here.

JJ had a heck of a game vs Houston last night. We'll see if AA can lock him down.

Oladipo is a warm sight. He attacks the basket, something I haven't seen in some time at Orlando. He has been getting blocked quite often but I love the effort, he is a rookie after all.
No idea what we are going to do with BBD when he returns. I don't think he fits
Kinda scares me that we might actually be a mediocre team this year and miss out on some crazy talent in the draft...
Judging from the first week of the season it's going to be very hard to out-tank Boston. Maybe Utah.
-
What's up with Hedo already? The season starts next week and still no news on a buy out.
-
Still doesn't get it, and probably never will.
-
Come on Orlando Feds. We know we these are just meaningless games....but people don't like this team getting disrespected. I prefer commentators to have much more humility.
We are all going to miss Matty.
-
Just looked through yesterdays box scores. The rosters of Phili and Utah are unbelievable. It will be a real challenge for the Magic to get in the top 5, I mean bottom 5.
-
After Hedo gets bought out I see a solid 12 on the roster 13 if you count E'twan. Will Osby be better served sitting on the end of the bench or playing in the D-league or Europe? Manny Harris has a nice shot and is still young, S Jones could be another reliable vet. How do you think the Magic will fill out this roster?
-
Please let the season start already so we don't have to debate the merits of the WNBA and Hedo's value five years ago.

Not sure how you could play in two NBA Finals games without having ever won a playoff series.
Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant as a member of the Magic. He did have some amazing moments though.

Tracy McGrady retired today
One of my favorite Magic of all time! I wish he would won a ring! I wish Tracy the best of luck in his retirement!
I wish he would have won a playoff series.

Trading AA would bu ok if you get the right deal, but I'd take a bag of balls for Baby.
