  1. Like a few of you are saying our two golden boys have hit the proverbial wall and with both playing in the rising stars I''m not sure how much rest they'll get over the break. Palo's free throws are down and Franz has missed too many right at the rim.

The officiating in this one was pretty bad, the charge on Markell was an obvious and one and the mugging of WCJ sure looked like a foul to me. It makes me mad and that's good because for as hard as this team plays the now deserve better.

However the thing to me that is the worst is the fact that half the arena is yelling lets go heat. I'm buying tickets tomorrow to the next heat game in March so at least there will be two more fans there cheering for the Magic. I hope you'll join me. Peace.

  2. Cole has been playing some really good ball offense and defense but I wish he'd stop doing that roll the ball up the court thing. Correct me if I'm wrong but that strategy is used for saving time when your behind in the score and don't want the clock to start. Someone should tell him that when you're up 10 with two minutes to go you want the clock to move as much as possible. He did this again tonight almost daring the defender to make a move on him and it nearly bit him.

Good game but much closer than it needed to be,

  3. Terrible officiating our guys got hacked a lot going to the rim add that to Kessler doing his best Mutombo which caused them to either go too hard off the glass or leave their shots short off the front of the rim.

Everyone says this team needs a reliable scoring two guard and I agree but getting out rebounded by twenty and giving up so many easy lay ups tells us we still need  some sort of bad a$$ stopper in the front court, maybe Issac if he gets back can be that guy because Bamba and Moe Wag sure aren't.

Is it ever too early for a trade thread? Given our struggles and need for shooting, here’s an idea:

Trade T. Ross and the Denver 1st

    for

Moses Moody and a future second

Seems this could help both teams. Gives us a young sharpshooter, and gives GS a proven vet off the bench. I think it’d take the 1st because Moody is only in his second year of his rookie deal.

    I absolutely love this trade.

I'm not ready to give up on him this quickly. They need a veteran presence. Think Hardy Nickerson with the Bucs back in the 1990's. You'll be amazed how talent responds to experience.

Not pissed at Mose either yet. He's being expected to win without a PG and 2 years without his best defender and the greenest team I have ever seen.

He's not going to end up being THE GUY but right now he may as well have to also coach blindfolded too with as many challenges as he has here

    Those are very good points.

Do you think Hardy Nickerson can play point guard?

  6. We are all pretty happy with Franz playing the point forward but you can't leave him out there with no other ball handlers on the floor. And he can't be expected to do it all game long. It's a great option to have but there were a lot of times where he was getting pressed and that had to take a lot out of him. When Fultz gets back this should open him up do do some of the other things he does well (cutting and moving without the ball).

Over all looking at this game and the Memphis pre season game I have to say this is some of the most entertaining basketball this team has played in many years.

  7. This should be the most interesting season for the Magic in quite some time. There are many questions, hopes and expectations, it all remains to be seen.

One thing that I am really hoping for is that we may have found a second round pick that can actually contribute. I'm really sick of watching teams like the heat keep pulling these diamonds out of their a$$ while we sell our seconds for considerations. Houstan has a sweet shot looks like he works hard on defense and is smart. Let's hope Mosley can find a productive spot for him.

Very impressed with Banchero and Houston last night. The smallest critique I have for Paulo is letting his guy blow by him a couple of times, but overall he looked like a star. Also a huge shout out to WeltHam and Mosley. The chemistry and culture they’ve built with these young guys is really impressive. For those players to give up vacation to cheer on our summer league guys? That’s selfless right there.

I agree it was just what we wanted to see from the rooks. It's great that there is such a good amount of support being shown by our young guys but let's not lose sight that it is Vegas.
