I heard on the radio today that Cleveland hasn't won a playoff series without a guy named Lebron in 31 YEARS. The pressure is FAR MORE on Cleveland to perform here, whom mortgaged their future to get Donovan Mitchell. A loss could blow up everything if they lose this series (a la Mitchell might choose to leave), vs. the Magic whom clearly have more great days ahead of them and a lot of flexibility financially right now.

It will be an interesting series. I think the Magic play best when they feel free to play loose. I'm hoping for a Game 1 Road win!

This is so true. Cleveland has all the pressure on them in this series. Also don't forget they tanked the last game of the season to get this match up so there's that as well. Magic just need to play free and easy on offense and stop either Mitchell or Garland from having a big game. "I like this team".

Dejounte Murray might actually be underrated. Fantastic game winner vs the Celtics

I wanted to trade for him at the deadline but read about the supposed beef with Palo. He would be just what this team needs, he has the ability to score, assist and play defense. Unfortunately that ship has sailed.

The 76ers and the Heat still play each other twice. The Pacers and Heat also play each other once more. And the Knicks and the Heat have a game to play too.

All those games where it's impossible for everyone around us to win at the same time will be important.

It's probably counterproductive but I look at those games and want the heat to loose them all.

I don't like 'play-in' games at the end of the regular season. Whose idea was that anyway? I like the old way that the teams that ranked 1-8 at the end of the regular season got to play in the playoffs.

When the 'play-in' games first occurred, I was confused. I didn't know what was going on.

So please tell me. What's the purpose of the 'play-in'?

Yeah, I don't think he fits with this squad anymore. I think he knows it, too. Which is why he forcing things whenever he gets the ball.

They need to revamp the guard position this off-season. Suggs and Black are the only locks for next season. Malik Monk should be at the top of their list in FA. Simons, too, if he becomes available.

What about Quickley? I know he was just traded but isn't he still a free agent? I think he'd be a good fit with Suggs.

Are the Magic open to moving Anthony Black and/or Wendell Carter Jr. for an offensive panacea?

Got this from BR …I’d move AB in a heartbeat …I’ve seen him play in college and now here …whether Fultz is here after the deadline or not this kid doesn’t fit …talk about Fultz not being able to shoot …this kid is literally left by himself on the floor …talk about a spacing problem …do you guys watch his shooting form ? …it’s like he’s throwing a shot put, reminds me of the black and white videos back in the day of the set shooters …kid has zero explosiveness …he is tall and that does help him defensively … think I saw Jon post a few pages back we just took him because that’s all that was there at 7 …and I totally agree …if teams were up in his chest like in the playoffs he’d never get a shot attempt off

I think his absolute ceiling is Rajon Rondo without the all star stuff. And that is still a long way off. This team needs FIT.

Screw it let's trade for Murray. I'm not like in love with it, he's a pretty weird personality, but it makes sense for us. Sounds like he'd be happy to be here given his comments post game. He's got a long contract, only 27, his defense has fallen off in Atlanta but I feel like Mosley could light a fire under him on that end.

Fultz basically matches the salary by himself so if Atlanta would take an expiring contract and picks I'd be all over it. Our 2024 pick, the Denver 2025 pick, throw in a couple of seconds or the Phoenix pick swap if we need to add a little more.

I'm hesitant to offer much more than that... and it'd be kind of conditional on him understanding and being willing to be the 2nd/3rd option and fit in and around Paolo and Franz and get after it on defense etc.

When Murray was in SA his defense was top flight. I think that part of his game looks worse now because he has to cover for Trea . Also he is a point guard who can shoot at least average threes and is not afraid to take a shot. I'd much rather have him than a couple of middling draft picks that will just rot on the bench.

Feel like it’s personnel more than anything. Injuries have forced better shooters to play like Caleb and Chuma. Also, Suggs has been on an absolute heater from deep. 3 games is such a small sample size, but would be curious to see if how certain players have played when given an opportunity has any affect on the rotation when we’re at strength. Only one really would be getting Caleb more burn.

One thing to remember as far as three point shooting. Franz seemed to have broken out of his three point slump also right before he was injured. This bodes well for the future.

Coach Moose really won this locker room! Must be a wonderful guy, never ever heard anything bad about him.. I guess the only criticism he has to take is the X and Os from a fan perspective..

Gary Harris is laugh out loud funny in a true sort of way.

  10. Today's the day boys and girls.Everybody has been going round and round for weeks maybe months to form their opinion on what the team should do so here's mine.

At six draft Hendricks good shooter, good defender with a high floor.

At eleven draft Dick of Bufkin both seem to be very good shooters that would fit right in.

At 36 if  Whithead falls out of the first round trade this pick and next years second to move up and get him he's another very good shooter and great buy low candidate..

Shooter, shooter, shooter that's what this team needs most.

Yes I know three rookies? We're all ready too young, nobody will get playing time, blah blah blah. Guess what there was playing time last year for K Harris, Admiral & Chuma and this team isn't winning the championship this year anyway. Just get some good floor spacers and let Mosley figure it out.

Find a way to leave the draft with Hendricks + one of: Ausar, Bilal, Dariq, Gradey, Hawkins and it's a win.

I like Hendricks as the good shooting swiss army knife at 6 and then possibly trade back for another asset and grab Dariq as a high upside project somewhere in the mid to high teens.

  12. I don't think there is any way we end up with the fifth best lottery odds. Portland is in the middle of an epic tank job, Indiana isn't trying too hard and Washington just isn't very good. With all that the Magic seem to be trying their best every game and really jelling as a team. Where will that leave us, seventh, eighth maybe? I guess after the top two or three players in this draft the next group just boils down to need and preference. This is where management and scouting make their money. I say keep winning and let karma sort it out.

  13. Like a few of you are saying our two golden boys have hit the proverbial wall and with both playing in the rising stars I''m not sure how much rest they'll get over the break. Palo's free throws are down and Franz has missed too many right at the rim.

The officiating in this one was pretty bad, the charge on Markell was an obvious and one and the mugging of WCJ sure looked like a foul to me. It makes me mad and that's good because for as hard as this team plays the now deserve better.

However the thing to me that is the worst is the fact that half the arena is yelling lets go heat. I'm buying tickets tomorrow to the next heat game in March so at least there will be two more fans there cheering for the Magic. I hope you'll join me. Peace.
