Watch some Madrid games instead then. Di Maria is one of the worst I've ever seen. He is actually pathetic. Pepe is just a thug, and typical of players nowadays. Gives out everything he possibly can, but someone touches him, and down he goes. Precisely like Drogba. I understand people disliking Barca after them dominating for a reasonable amount of time, but when you rely on people like Drogba to chuck themselves around and stop the game constantly, that's not exactly what football is about. Win the game by defending very well against teams who are vastly superior, rather than resorting to faking injuries etc. Personally, I'd much rather watch Barcelona play than either Chelsea or Madrid in these types of game. No team I've ever seen has the finesse and sheer brilliance throughout their team that Barca have. Barcelona also have Messi, who as far as I'm concerned is head and shoulders above anyone else simply because of his talent and his personality on the pitch. Rarely dives, hardly ever moans about a decision, and looks like he genuinely is grateful that he gets to play the game as much as he does. Nothing like the other "superstars" of the game. On another note, while Chelsea defended well, it was more a Barca slip up rather than a Chelsea victory. Could've been at least 3-4 goals for Barcelona despite the Chelsea tactics.

Anyone watch Barca and Chelsea? Great tactics by Chelsea, but terrible finishing from Barcelona. Chelsea were pretty lucky that they didn't concede. Looking forward to the return leg now. Should be a massive game!

One crazy day for football.

Not that I can speak for Trey either, but I think possibly some way to describe it is that if someone used, in this argument for example, the "n word", there would be a bigger issue made out of it than if someone had said "chink". They are obviously both offensive words when used against someone, but using the n word in a discussion about racism is not really using it as an offensive word, it's simply referring to the word used. However, in this instance, the very fact that people are terrified to even type the word itself, suggests that it's "worse" to use that word instead of the word "chink", even though both could be equally offensive if used against someone of whichever ethnicity.

If they could just stop doing that, people would give footballers a lot more respect. As it is, it's no wonder football has a certain stigma. Crazy game though.

That strike was quality. Could've been topped by Ozil's shot though. I'm definitely cheering for Barca though. They play such nice football.

I think it would be hard to argue that Bass and Rashard immediately got worse. Shard scored slightly less points, but his role was not the same as it was in Seattle, however his other stats remained relatively consistent. He also had easily the most successful time of his career with us. The numbers Bass put up remained relatively similar to the ones he put up in Dallas, and he hasn't been in Boston long enough to really give any real indication he's somehow immediately better. (You could also argue he is now playing with Rondo, who creates much more than Nelson can). J Rich and Carter you could argue are declining as players anyway, so we acquired them at the wrong end of their careers. Plus Carters numbers reduced even more once he went to Phoenix. More evidence he was/is declining as a player. You could also argue playing at a lower tempo than Phoenix, and not having Steve Nash on your team would also reduce the effectiveness of J Rich. Arenas has not been the same player he was a few seasons ago, and we pretty much gambled on that. Hard to really say he "immediately" became worse once he came to us. And Glen Davis has been with us for 8 games. Hardly a big enough sample to say he is also immediately a worse player.

I wonder if Dwight really wants to go to a Nets team that scores 7 points in 15 minutes of basketball. Impressive!

I know you can't tell a huge amount from highlight videos, but I like what this kid can do. It's not going to make Dwight stay, but it's a good start and a move in the right direction. Otis did good for once.

What happens if theres some randomer who only just comes across the board, but actually genuinely has a good idea for a thread? Do they have to post 100 random posts just to be able to post, thus making spam more likely in some cases, or they have to wait a while to post the thread, by which point it could be entirely irrelevant.
