Life after LeBron: Williams tries to move on

My thoughts exactly. -
OT: League to expand Technical rules for Refs
austinGators replied to Ryan the Magic Fan's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
When I read the news about the rule this morning, my reaction was: My God! Dwight is going to be thrown out of every game he plays in! And after reading Ian Thomsen's article on SI.com about the rule, my reaction is still pretty much the same. My second thought was exactly what Nyce said about 'Sheed "Well, he got at the right time." -
Fantastic article. Foyle truly is a class act, both on and off the court. As I've been saying in regards to his retirement for the past few years now, "I hope when Foyle retires, we keep him around the organization in some way." Now that he's done, I would love to see him stay around as a community ambassador. Sure he isn't anywhere near as recognizable as Nick or Bo, but he is just as friendly a guy. Or even as an assistant coach, if he wants to get into that. The man's IQ- both basketball and in general- is amazing.

To be fair, the only reason I bought the Sum 41 greatest hits album was the same reason I re-purchased Nelly's "Nellyville" album a few months ago: So I could get the booklet signed by the artist(s).

Charles Barkley Rips LeBron James
austinGators replied to TrueMagicFan07's topic in Around the NBA/Globe Game
Absolutely agreed with Sir Charles. What I hate most about all of this is that I now hate the Heat b/c of LBJ. I mean, I know they've always been our "rivals", or at least, some would say they have always been. But, despite being a diehard Magic fan my whole life, I haven't truly hated the Heat, at least not for awhile. That's b/c their star player(s) have been class acts. Zo was and is an awesome guy. So is Wade. And even the new 3rd wheel, Bosh, is a really down to earth, nice guy off the court. But b/c of this arrogant ***** named Lebron, I now hate the Heat and hope they fail again and again and again until he's gone. -
Last album I bought was Bun B: "Trill O.G." Before that was Sum 41's greatest hits. Both are great.

Ignoring Jareth's posts, the idea of the shop sounds great :)

I'm trying to think of what they could name the team if they do indeed move to Brooklyn at that time, but honestly can't think of anything that would be relevant to Brooklyn that would actually be allowed by the league. 1st thought was Brooklyn Bridges, after the Brooklyn Bridge (obviously), but that would be pretty damn lame. They could go with Brooklyn B******, lol. Then during the pregame intro, they could have a video of Jay yelling "It's Brooklyn, b******!!!" The logo would be a picture of Beyonce. :matrix: Or Brooklyn Biggies. Have some Notorious B.I.G. impersonator be the mascot.

Orl Sentinel-Retire Shaq and Penny's Numbers
austinGators replied to Marc Acres 3:16's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
haha agreed. But really, no way on Shaq. D-Armstrong? I'd be cool with that, even though I'd say it won't happen. Shaq? No sir! -
Just thought it might be fun to think up new names for them. They certainly don't have to be serious, either. Source

Numerous reports say that the Hornets front office & Paul were communicating on any potential deals prior to yesterday, so while I agree that the trades don't make the Hornets much better, if at all, it appears that CP3 is okay with them. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/68655/20100812/demps_paul_in_regular_contact_prior_to_wednesday_trades/

Love Matt B, but I can't say I'm shocked by this.

This is probably the most excited I've ever been for a preseason opener. I'll definitely be at the game on 10/10, and since it's preseason, I can probably spend the 2nd half walking around Amway Center in amazement, checking out all the new stuff that wasn't in the previous arena. Figure out what food is the best in my opinion, which of the 30-something restrooms is closest to my seat, all that stuff. That way, once the regular season starts, I'll be able to focus on what really matters: The games themselves.
