If it were me, I’d play a typical 8-9 man playoff rotation in the playoffs. Caleb Houstan being some sort of 3 point sniping hero is overblown bull**** that’s just not true. He isn’t an NBA player. He was -7 in 3 minutes on the court tonight.

Game 3 I’d start Suggs/Harris/Franz/Paolo/Carter and play Cole/AB/Isaac/Moe off the bench. If we’re getting abused on the glass again like Allen has all series, I’d swap WCJ with Goga on a very short leash. I’d also play both Franz and Paolo 40+ minutes and have at least one of them on the floor at all times.

While I agree with you 100% on that it still doesn't help with our lack of scoring from our guards. Mose doesn't have anybody on the bench that he can say "Go get us some buckets." IMO Goga is our best defender on bigs, and I'd let him start and burn his 6 fouls on Allen.

I just don’t understand how you can defend Mosley’s rotations at this point. He even finally benched Kelle in the 2nd half, just to play Caleb Houstan critical 4th quarter playoff minutes when we’re trying to make a comeback. Mose has been almost as bad this series as our 3 point shooting

We have a serious lack of dependable shooting. What would you have done differently?

But this team will probably continue to grow organically. My opinion is we sign Monk in FA and draft McCain or Da Silva.
It’s not a splashy way, but it’s based on fit, i guess

We need either a starting PG or SG that can create their own shot, buy into our defensive scheme, and share ball handling with Suggs. I have to wonder how much better Gary Harris would be if we actually ran plays for him?

That Klay game (0 points, 0/10 FG, 0/6 3P in an elimination game) doesn't exactly scream "yea let's give that guy a big contract in the summmer" to me.

    Meanwhile D'Angelo Russell had 21 points, 6 assists, a steal and a block on 7/14 FG, 5/11 3P.

Both are free agents in the summer, Russell is 6 years younger... I'm not even like super high on Russell but it seems to me whatever you're thinking about offering Klay (if you are) you should stick an extra 3-5mil a season on it and offer it Russell instead.

Even though I'd prefer to Have Murray, I would not be upset if we got Russell. We definitely need someone that can properly steer the ship until Black is ready if we want to get to the next level. I would not be excited if we signed Klay unless it was really cheap and we got a good PG as well.

Saying this as someone who is no longer a local and isn’t going to the games. The Magic dropped the ball on playoff prices. Nosebleeds are triple in Orlando than what they’re selling them at in Cleveland.

The sad thing about playoff games at home is that the majority of people attending are wealthy people that don't even follow the team all year.

I hate thinking about money in sports, i really do. Should be able to be a fan and just want the best players. However i just can't wrap my head around having Trae and all the other players on the team we have to pay.

In any scenario we trade for Trae we have to almost assume either Franz or Suggs is going back the other way.

At least DJ i can see fitting in with everyone staying. His contract is 25 million this upcoming year and escalates to 31 million 3 years later. I honestly can't see a Young trade without Franz going back the other way. DJ i could see happening but even that way they would be trying to get Suggs or Franz.

It just makes more sense that we finally give out a free agent contract since they literally targeted this year to have money to spend. So take a big look at actual free agents. I would still much rather get a couple of lesser players then one big one. Two guys like Tyus Jones and Hartenstein at 15 million each would be much better for the teams growth. Much easier to move those pieces as well.

At this point as far as a trades the only idea that kinda makes sense is the Simons trade mentioned above. Unless some team just wants to give us somebody for nothing. At this point i view first round picks as expendable so 2 or 3 picks FR picks would mean nothing to me. We don't need them right now.

As much as I love WCJ I think he could be part of a trade with some picks for a very good PG. We could get by better with Goga, Mo, and JI manning the 5 than we do without a PG that can play good D and shoot 3s or a very good SG that can share some ball handling with Suggs.

I'm really glad we have cap flexibility this summer. While I understand letting this team mature together, this roster needs clear help.

We need a PG that can shoot and play D. I would be willing to sacrifice WCJ and some picks to get one. I think we'd be fine with platooning Goga, Mo, and JI at center with our core 3 and a much better PG. We might be OK with Suggs as PG if we got a great combo guard to play with him.
