I’d waive Chuma in a heartbeat and pickup Patty.

I was thinking the same thing. Which would be more valuable in our playoff run? There is a great opportunity that we should take advantage of. C'ya Chuma. We are in 6th and closing in on 4th!

our main targets are still available..

It will be seen if we are serious about making this team better fairly aggressively, now that we’ve seen what this team can do and what the limitations are..

If the FO stay true to their words of the off season, they needto upgrade.

    Simons

    Murray

    T. Jones

in that order for different reasons!

I don't understand people wanting Simons. Yes he's a great shooter, but he is horrible on defense. How does that fit what we are doing? Give me Murray or Jones please.

Masterclass deadline from Jeff and co incoming?? what your feelings peeps

I have no doubt that we have made offers and I have faith that if nothing comes from them then we avoided being fleeced. We don't need any rookies for a while, we've got expiring contracts, and a few healthy players that don't hurt us to let go. I have faith that the organization will do the best it can, even if it's nothing.

The "safe" trade route would be something like CTMagicUK suggested:

Anthony and Ingles and a pick for Jones and Kispert (works in the ESPN trade machine)

I would love that trade. I've been high on Kispert since his college days. That boy can shoot! Jones would be an improvement as starting PG and give us a bench of Fultz, Harris, Kisbert, JI, and Mo. I like it! I'd even throw in some 2nds.

The Warriors already did the death lineup. We need to come up with a name for ours. Feel like we need to come up with a few and put it up to a vote!

Jalen's defense reminds me of a Pitbull attack. When we close out games with that squad it's like all the guys suddenly play almost at his level of D. They are like a pack of wild dogs!

Dejounte Murray scored the last seven points in an 11-0 run to open the overtime for Atlanta and finished with 19 points.

He scored their last 7 points of OT if that helps any?

He won the game for them! Also keep in mind he's a PG playing SG. We need a starting PG that demands respect outside the arc badly. Murray hit back-to-back game winning 3s recently to win games, one of which was against us. Last night he won the game for Atlanta. I care a lot more about the Ws than I do the shooting percentages.

It seems like first quarters hurt us the most as far as the defensive woes go. With that said would it have been beneficial to start Isaac tonight to set the tone defensively? Just a thought.

I would much rather play him in crunch time. His D and rebounds can turn a game very quickly.

That’s a 5 game sample size and again a playoff series is completely different than the regular season. What’s the point of being on a message board if we don’t discuss the Magic even if we differ in opinion?

This is exactly why we need to make a trade. We can't build a starting lineup when 1 or more of our 5 miss a lot of games. Let's trade 2 guys that don't play much along with some expiring contracts and picks and get a couple of guys that can play most of the season. Keeping what we have in hopes that they stay healthy is just leading to a heartbreak when we have 1-2 starters out for the playoffs.

  9. It's time to cash in our expiring contracts and some picks for somebody that can run the team and hit 3s when we need them. Without being able to shoot Fultz runs the team well but makes it harder on Franz & Paolo. The fact that he misses so much time makes him a must go. AB has done a decent job when starting, but need someone better that can mentor him. There are several players that fit that description and we have some of the best assets in the NBA right now. Trading our expiring guys and a couple of picks is very low risk.

Anfernee Simons ticks the most boxes but I’d also take:

    star-ish players:

Dejounte Murray, Trae Young, Tyler Herro, Malcolm Brogdon, Tyus Jones, Bojan Bogdanovic, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Zach Lavine

    role players but great shooters:

    Sam Merrill, Alec Burks

Simons sucks on D which makes him not fit what we are trying to do.

. Have to think we'd have to pay more like 3+ picks for Murray if that's what the market is like.

If that what it takes to get whichever the guy the F.O. wants, we should make the move. We have a great core and can do without rookies for a couple of years. Bring on a scoring PG that will compliment Franz, Suggs, & Paolo!!! It's also time to part ways with several players that don't fit what we are doing or are out too much with injuries.

  12. IMO the F.O. needs to set their sights on exactly which player(s) they want and put offers out that nobody can beat NOW, not wait until the deadline and try to grab leftovers. Our needs are obvious and if we want to contend this season we have to make a powerful move. The guy (Murray) that just hit 2 straight game winning 3s would be great, but whoever they target we do  have the expiring contracts, players,  and picks to get a deal done. Let's go!!!

I’ll be disappointed if we don’t leverage our expiring contracts for a solid trade. Fultz and Isaac have both proven to be completely unreliable, and for far too long we’ve had unreliable point guard play. I think a real possibility is a guy like Schroder, given his relationship with the Wagner brothers. I’d personally rather have Murray, but I’m hoping for some upgrade. I also think Brown would be a great addition, as he’s a great, versatile role player.

I'm with you on Shroder, I think he would be perfect to play with Franz and Paolo.

  14. Even though Jett hasn't done anything for us YET, I'm so glad we didn't take Grady! So far he's a real bust!

  15. I love Fultz, Harris, and WCJ, but IMO we need to package some or all of them with some picks to get a durable starting PG that can shoot 3s. I'm happy with Goga starting and Mo off the bench. AB is gonna be great but he needs to develop more before he takes over the reins.
