    It seems like we are all basically in agreement... right now Dwight is ours and it's up to management to show him that we are headed in the right direction. Gil coming back healthy and in shape could be a huge plus! Dwight making free throws would be an even bigger plus! We also need 1 player with the balls to take it to the hole and slam it on a regular basis. IMO if everyone we have steps it up a notch and the guys show a new found commitment to winning Dwight stays!

    I'd take VC and Tmac as bench players at the minimum. Get rid of DooDoo and put Tmac behind Nelson. If we could get them to play a little D Tmac and VC off the bench would be nice! Tmac did great at PG lat year for Detroit.

    Orlando Management screwed the pooch last year with a series of questionable moves, instead of bringing Dwight a sidekick, they bring him over the hill players, and damaged goods.

     

    Dwight has done nothing to show he wants to stay a member of this team, no one in the media thinks he will stay, I mean really ownership should be thanking him as he leaves, as if not for him they never get their world class arena.

     

    But unless something drastic happens, I believe we will be seeing Dwight in his last year as a member of our team, if there is a season.

     

    IMO Dwight hasn't made up his mind but would prefer to stay providing management takes care of business. There are so many "what ifs" with this squad...

     

    What if Arenas comes back healthy and goes off for 20 a game with 8 assists

    What if Anderson starts and gets us 20 and 8

    What if JJ starts and averages 19

    What if Dwight makes his free throws

    What if our draftees can really play NBA ball

    What if Orton has developed a game during all this downtime

     

    I have accepted the fact that there are no facts to accept :D

    There could be some games fixed to meet the spread, but fact of the matter is that the NBA is one of the hardest games to call. Stern's already opening up to getting a 4th ref to work the monitor all game but at the same time he doesn't want games to be 5 hours long because of refs going through replays every second. . .

     

    Sometimes I think they just need a ref that is actually watching the game LOL.

    The burden of proof lies with the accuser. I don't have to prove he's innocent. YOU have to prove he's guilty.

    Regarding the Ewing draft, do I need to explain to you how a lottery works? Do you think the '93 lottery was rigged as well? Our odds were FAR worse to win that draft than the Knicks' odds of winning the 85' draft.

     

    As for Lebron, stars have benefited from more calls than regular players since the mid-70s.

     

    And even if every single ridiculous thing you just listed WAS the result of a conspiracy(which is a ludicrous assumption), that wouldn't automatically mean Stern was behind it.

    Please don't tell Dwight that! He might start thinking all those hits to the head with no calls or no flagrant foul calls are part of preferential star treatment.

    Doesn't Stern realize that if contracts are voided the NBA has no recourse to get players back from playing in Europe, China, etc?

     

    We need a new league... without Stern, lousy refs making calls so bad it makes the game look fixed, and owners that don't want to honor contracts they were not forced to sign.

    Accusing the players of failing to bargain "in good faith" and of "impermissible pressure tactics" in labor talks, the NBA has filed an unfair labor practice charge and a federal lawsuit against the NBA Players Association.

     

    The claims were filed Tuesday.

     

    The unfair labor practice charge was filed with the National Labor Relations Board. It accuses the players of making "unlawful" threats to break up their union and pursue an antitrust lawsuit against the NBA, a strategy used this year by NFL players to fight their lockout.

     

    The lawsuit was filed in federal district court in New York. It asks the court to declare the NBA lockout does not break antitrust laws. The NBA also says it wants to void existing player contracts if the NBPA sheds its union status.

    The only thing that could have made Dallas celebrating on LeBron's floor any better would have been if it had been a blow-out. Before The queen joined the Heat I would have been cheering for them... once he joined it's everybody they play. Best player in the league yes, biggest A-hole in the league yes

    Funny thing is that jerk is always talking about how great an athlete he is, I would love to get him on the BB court. look I am 40 and I would tear Him up. Of course I would give the treatment D12 gets and ask him why he is whining about getting hit in the head.... Jerk.

    Orlando Magic-stop playing guys that are hurt and can't perform to NBA level of play, let them heal until they get some game back.

     

    NBA- The dick-tater has said many times he wants to speed up games... stop shooting foul shots and award the team 1 point plus the ball, Techs are 1 point plus the ball, intentional fouls 2 points plus the ball, Flagrants 4 points plus the ball. If you don't get rid of them then have a designated shooter for each team. How many teams would intentionally foul Dwight if JJ shot them?

     

    Major fines for refs making obviously bad calls

     

    Techs for flopping

     

    No salary for injured players that can't play the whole season and let the Millionaires get their own insurance!

     

    If you have to have back to backs then make them against the same team-no travel in between
