I'm also questioning why we drafted a defensive player instead of a shooter when we needed offense so bad. We can't keep trying to get defensive guys to cover Vuc's lack of defensive skills when we should just either move him to the bench or trade him. Yeah he scores a lot of points but how many points are net after what he allows?

I agree 100%! Why are WE drafting guys that might have potential/maybe-hopefully can develop while other teams are drafting guys that are ready step in and play? I have to wonder if the teams that got great players with later picks got lucky or are they just better than us at evaluating talent???

Before the draft I said that we were way more than 1 piece away and that we needed to make some changes so we weren't trotting out the same starting 5 as last season. Management chose to take a year to evaluate the players that we already had instead. If it were me I would have traded Payton, Mario, and Vuc for whatever 2017 picks we could have gotten, Drafted DSJ, and definitely would not have traded any of our picks away for future unknown garbage. With our 7 picks I would have probably taken 3 PGs, 2 centers, and 2 SFs in hopes of getting a keeper in each position. There were a lot of good players taken with later picks that make me wonder about current management's ability to judge talent. On the other hand I DO think that management did a great job in FA. Simmons was a steal and Mo Buckets was a good signing. I just hope management is going to tank enough to put us in position to get Young, or at least Sexton. EP would make a decent backup PG if we can keep him at a low cost but I'm fine with Augustine if we can't.

The Magic need to start focusing on guys that can already play instead of projects. Mario finally seeming like he is coming along is far too late for where he was picked at.

And we'll probably pass on him and draft some long skinny kid that doesn't have an NBA body and hope he grows into one.

I don't think Payton needs to be an elite scorer, he just needs to take the shot instead of passing up open looks. IMO EP is a great bench PG, we need a starter.

Following up on the dumb move of drafting him in the 1st place. I'm sure he'll be a good to great player 1 day if his body ever becomes NBA ready but there were plenty of players that already had NBA bodies. We needed help now, not 3 years from now.

That's OK, let him be Rondo somewhere else. It won't be too much longer and he won't be able to see the basket at all. We need a PG that can shoot and forces teams to guard him at the 3 point line. We need to tank for Young!

Glad we lost, tied for 3rd worse again. Since nobody wants to trade for any of our players the only way this team is going to get better is through the draft. We need to get the tank right this time and get a top 3 pick!

I will root for losses for both of us. We desperately need to draft one of the few game changers to get this team on the right track. Coming in 5-7 from the bottom won't get it done.

Whatever we do we need to lose. We need to lose every game from here on out and grab ourselves a game changing PG to run this team.

We need to be wherever Young is. I'd take him 1st overall if need be. He definitely has the potential of being the next Steph Curry.

In the "how much do we lose by" pool for tonight's game my money is on 21. I nailed the last game at 27 :D

We need this guy or Sexton! We also need to bring in Tim Martin as one of our coaches, he seems to be a great teacher!

We don't have much worthwhile. Nobody is beating the doors down to trade for our players. Our starters would be an excellent bench on a good team.

We just need to tank the rest of the season while new management evaluates the guys we have. The good news is that we are well within range to have the worst record in the league.

Whatever we are doing to keep losing we need to keep it up. There is no reason for us to win any more games at this point.

We need to keep losing and figure out a way to trade into a 2nd top 5 draft pick. Then we grab one of the bigs and a PG and start over with the rebuild.
