OR we could start drafting, signing, and trading for guys the can ALREADY shoot, pass, and play defense. Let's get some NBA caliber guys on our team instead of guys we hope, wish, and pray can learn how to shoot, pass, and play defense!

While every draft prospect is a risk certain ones are more risky than others. At this point in our rebuild I would take a lesser player without physical question marks over a player with more potential that may spend a lot of time in rehab. JI is already our designated rehab player, we don't need 2 of those.

I would hope that we all learned a lesson with Grant Hill that signing, drafting, or trading for a severely injured player is VERY high risk. I'd rather trade Vuc for a pack of gum than a severely injured player.

If we can't get the guy we want at 5-7 I would strongly consider trading our pick to the Clips for #12 & #13 and grab SGA or Sexton and one of the centers, Williams or Mitchell. If we can somehow snag a mid to early 20s pick in a deal for Vuc we could grab another PG/SG like Milton or Brunson before the 2nd round.

Granted LeBron should be called for a LOT MORE offensive fouls and travels but even then the guy is an amazing player with an unparalleled drive to win.

It would be amazing if we got him! IMO he is the best shot to draft a future superstar.

The pool of available coaches is decent this year without having to go with retreads.

I love Sexton's energy, toughness, and will to win. I would not be disappointed at all if we got him, but not with #5.

We came in a few games from worst in the league. We suck at everything! Hopefully management can at least get us going in the right direction through the draft, trades, FA, and a coach that will develop our youngins. Dumping EP for a 2nd was the beginning, now if we can just put some defense at the rim our guys can guard better on the perimeter. We need to draft a shooter (Young) or a rim protector with our 1st round pick and be smart with our 2nd round picks. 1 way or the other we have to come away with a competent PG and a big and either jettison Vuc or move him to the bench.

That may change with a Euro coach that can pronounce his name correctly. Vuc is expiring and I'd happily take #31 for him

I'm more concerned about his ankles than his weight. If he gains weight but his ankles don't get stronger how does that help?

I agree, I just hope that he/we can develop his body to be able to play a lot more games without injuries.

Most teams were better at winning than us and 4 teams were better at tanking than us. What ARE we good at?

If Dallas didn't nobody was going to LOL. I know, we did the best we could to lose but maybe if we coulda lost to Dallas a few games earlier or that meaningless win... I think it was the Bucks in the last 2 weeks. We coulda had 3rd to ourselves :D

Sorta, but not hard enough when it really counted. The last game win slid us from tied to 3rd to 5th. Probably cut our odds in near 1/2 for a top pick. We shoulda played Biz at point the last quarter LOL

I projected long ago that EP wasn't going to be good because he couldn't shoot or play good "D", that Vuc was great on "O" but his lack of "D" would hurt us, and that Porzingis wasn't built for the NBA and would be injury prone. I projected that DSJ will be a great PG and time will tell on that one. I think I'm doing fairly well on my projection ability :D

Well let's see, I quickly judged EP as can't shoot or play good "D" and I quickly judged that as good as Vuc is on offense his lack of "D" hurts us. Those are the only 2 players I have been down on before, how am I doing so far? So now I'm saying there is a strong possibility that Isaac will spend a lot of time injured because he isn't built for the NBA. Time will tell on that one. I said the same thing about Porzingis.

My assessment so far is that he is a very tall skinny kid that shoots OK, is great on defense, and is good for 20-40 games a year. I can only base my assessment on what I have seen. Yes Isaac MIGHT be a franchise cornerstone, OR, he could be exactly what we've seen in our evaluation year.

Assuming we pick at #5 and we don't know how ANYBODY will adopt to the NBA. We DO know how Isaac is adopting, lots of bench time with ankle injuries. I expect that to be a regular thing and would be thrilled to get Doncic for him and #5.

I don't think any team would make that trade. It would probably take #5 and Isaac or #5 and next year's lightly protected 1st and maybe even a 2nd.
