I think Good Job Rob went the safe route and skipped the well known names with possible injuries for guys that like to play very hard and are in perfect health. I'm sure he has a plan for PG and getting rid of the dead weight but won't make any moves until we have a coach and he sits with Dwight. Based on the fact that we didn't trade Dwight I would say his phone conversation with Dwight was positive... and maybe Dwight even said "get me a backup so I can play a few less minutes and be more productive."

So from the draft we have a legit back-up center and another big that could possibly replace Turk at the 3 or play the 4 if we S&T Ryno. It seems that Good Job Rob is focusing on guys that can play both ends of the floor.

I agree! like the pick and I think he slipped under the radar. IMO we offered Ryno the QO so we would be in position to S&T rather than lose him for nothing.

It looks like he's confident both shooting the 3 and going up in traffic- I like the pick. Now if we can just get a coach that will develop and play our rookies so we can see what we have. One thing I won't miss about SVG is that all the players say his system is complicated and takes too long to learn hence rookies taking too long to develop and FAs taking a long time to learn our system and going backwards in scoring.

There may come a point of regardless of what "decision" Dwight makes that it makes sense from a business point of view to trade him. I haven't seen that offer yet but I don't know what the F.O. will think if somehow Houston comes up with number 1 and puts it on the table with 3 in the teens and Lowry

If that's true than where are OUR other pieces? No we should not trade Dwight for scraps. I did sorta like Lowry, Dally, and Houston's 3 pix for Dwight and Turk or Duhon.

I don't think YaBoyR has ever given us any wrong info and he has indeed been way ahead of the press. I'm kinda famous myself (not quite a millionaire yet) and yet I have some friends that are just regular Joes that I talk to regularly and they know things my company is doing sometimes months before it is publicly announced.

That's what I heard too, that it was a done deal but Dwight's yes-no-yes-no-yes routine up until the last minute killed it. I kinda have to believe that we would have been a 3rd team in that deal.

If OKC is not willing to give Brooks the $4M per contract he wants then if we really wanted him Mr DeVos could call and say we'll give you $4.5M and it should be a done deal. When it comes to coaches we can buy whoever we want providing that they want to coach.

I agree 100%! With a guy like LeBron if you can't guard him then you let him get his 40-50 points and clamp down on everybody else.

IMO the Magic actually made a great choice for the 1st time in a long time!

I think we need to figure out where we are with Dwight before the draft. If he wants a trade sending him to a team with a great pick and pieces is exactly what we need to start our rebuild. If he wants to extend then we need to have him involved in our pick strategy and find out who we have that he wants to play with and get rid of the rest for picks or players.

Even if he can't coach a lick... if he's the guy that can convince Dwight to stay he will do better than a guy that can coach great but can't keep Dwight!
