There is no rush at all. If indeed Dwight has said he would re-sign with the Lakers then it us up to the Lakers to put together a deal that we like, not just one that we would accept. We are no longer talking about a 1 year rental, we are talking about trading for a game changing #1 rated center that will solidify the franchise. If Cavs won't give up their best rookie then Lakers need to find another partner.

I may be in a minority here but from what I've been hearing about what Good Job Rob wants for our Team Andy V might be exactly what he wants. The dude hustles all game and plays good D. He is a top 10 on a decent contract and packaged with a bunch of picks, rookies, and getting rid of Hedo, Duhon, and the Riches we could be in pretty decent shape to build with. 10.8 and 11.5 last year is not terrible and 67.2 from the line will be refreshing. Combined with Baby that is a pretty good defensive middle. I would ALMOST rather have him than Bynum and If Rob sees him as the way to go I'm onboard.

$8.3M is very reasonable for a starting PG that is a leader for your team.

IMO Good Job Rob is doing everything the right way, including not being in a hurry to make a trade. Gave Jameer a decent contract Kept JJ Got us something for Anderson Chose well in the draft Didn't cave in to Brooklyn pressure before they signed all those guys to Otis like contracts I trust we will get a coach that will be good at developing rookies, cap space, and get rid of all or most of our bad contracts. I would love to keep Meer, JJ and BBD as our core to mentor our newbies. Let's face it, it's been quite a while since we had a very good team, and we have the opportunity to build our own from the ground up. Wouldn't it be great to have 12 young guys that can all play and be in a position that if one of our players goes down that we don't skip a beat? IMO we will hold out until we get an amazing return for the best center in the league!

Dwight has to be smart enough to realize that the nets don't have the pieces to make a good trade... doesn't he?

I think most of us want to keep him... dude plays hard and really cares! If we trade with L.A. they can keep Artest and McRoberts if need be and we'll keep BBD.

The "R" is for Rich, not Rudolph. His former handle was YaBoyRich and he was giving us info way before Rudolph released info. Rudolph may get info direct from Dwight, or maybe not. YBR has told us stuff waaaay before anybody else got wind of it. If he was wrong on anything that he said was fact so far I've missed it.. Would Rudolph rush in and tell the forum hours before he released something in the press? I didn't think so.

Part of the reason he feels that way is because he is majorly hindering the success of the organization right now. If he would come out and publicly state that he is going to re-sign in 2013 then free agents would want to come and play in Orlando and help him get his ring. The way he has been acting the last year+ he's making the organization look like fools. If Good Job Rob had a commitment from him to stay then he could get to work making trades to make the team better instead of trying to figure out how to move on without Dwight. The ball is in Dwight's court but he's behind by 1 with 3 seconds left on the clock...

I appreciate Good Job Rob being patient but I don't think we should wait too long on the Houston deal IMO. I think we come out like bandits and it really gives us a bright future where if we keep Dwight nest season looks like this season. Dwight is our key to get out of the cap hell Otis put us in and I have confidence given some good pieces to work with Good Job Rob can put together a winning team in a couple of seasons. I just lost a camera I was bidding on... it had a buy it now or best offer... while I was waiting for a reply to my offer someone came along and did a buy it now. I lost the camera and it was a great deal as a buy it now but I got greedy and missed out. I'm sure the Lakers would love to dump their trash and Bynum for the deal Houston supposedly has on the table for us! Just sayin'

I would rather read endless pages of unrelated BS on the Forum than see Broken Lopez in a Magic uniform. $61M for 4 years... I could see him breaking his foot again and doing an "I don't care, I'm rich Beotches" rap song with Chris Duhon.

I don't know so much if Good Job Rob punked everybody or if the offers just weren't where we want to be with results. Personally I wasn't happy with any of the offers and with the rumor that Bynum wouldn't resign it kinda knocked the Lakeshow out. A lot of the media now has egg on their faces and hopefully when we start talking to teams again they might not make up so much bull$hit. All I can say is Good Job Rob!

Very realist comment Mak and I agree. With Bynum we get a 1 year look on the cheap at a smaller contract before we decide to offer the major contract... plus we could always trade him to Houston at the deadline for basically the same package they are offering for Dwight. If his knees go we still get out after 1 season and get cap space.

We should definitely organize that!

I voted for other- Suns send Gortat and huge TPE for Dwight. We get cap space and a center that we all love! 15/10 last year with good "D"

My personal opinion I would do Gortat (better than Lopez) and a huge TPE for Dwight but we also need to get rid of some bad contracts. They owe us for taking Hedo back also!
