IMO there is no way Dwight is in Orlando by the start of camp. It would be a PR nightmare (like it isn't already LOL) and definitely not good for the image we are creating of developing a team that has a 100% winning attitude. Dwight belongs in Houston with Lin and the Magic will have with a few dedicated vets that are helping us bring our rookies and youngsters along to become the east's version of OKC and win some championships. Heart and hustle is coming back to Orlando and Dwight's camp just doesn't have the heart to participate.

To anybody that has bid on ebay (I spend about $50,000 a year there) your analogy is perfect! There is 2 parts that are missing though... 1 is "Buy it now or best offer". I have missed out on a few items that I really wanted by being cheap and making a best offer and while I'm waiting for a response someone comes along and does a "buy it now" and it's gone. The item was a great deal at the "buy it now price" but by trying to get it cheaper I lost out. The 2nd one is the auctions that don't have a buy it now and the Lakers have bid $25, Houston bid $97 but only $27 shows, and at the last second a sniper comes along and bids $100 and steals the auction from both. We really don't know what offers other teams have made, only those that have been leaked. I would also guess that there are at least a few teams that are sitting back watching all the trades and signings that are going down and evaluating if they had Dwight this year if it would give them a shot at a championship. 1 thing that I don't see ever happening (and hope it doesn't) is that Feganing Brokenfoot Lopez and his fat contract ever put on a Magic uniform.

It's a shame that Feganing Dwight Howard can't buy into a program like this instead of being a piece of HWNSNBU. On the other hand Dwight is the key to getting us out of the HWNSNBU that Feganing Otis got us into.

It's really Feganed up the way Dwight's agent and his camp have made him look like such a Feganing Feganhole. I hope one day that Dwight wakes the HWNSNBU up and realizes that HWNSNBU has made him look like HWNSNBU in front of his fans and the whole world.

LOL Unlike most fans that come to our site to troll and bug us these Houston fans that have been visiting are OK in my book. I hope they get Dwight! Then I hope in a few years we face them in the finals and Dwight has to shoot FTs with the game on the line!

I agree 100%! Once he got past his personal tragedies IMO he was worth his salary and has proven he deserves a spot on the roster. We should change his AKA to Superman 3 and Dwight's to Big Baby!

I'm sure Good Job Rob has someone in mind... anybody that's ever see a Magic game knows that Duhon doesn't even belong in the D league. I've got a much better PG on my Y team if we can't fin anybody.

That sounds to me like we are resolved to trade Dwight (finally). Let the real bidding begin!

Now that we have a HC, he and Good Job Rob can sit down and evaluate our talent (or lack of) and figure out exactly who we need to move and what positions we need to key in on for the Dwight trade. IMO we end up with the Houston package whether they get Dwight or Bynum but my hopes are that Dwight goes to Houston and helps them build rather than to the Lakers and gets a pile of Rings. I alos hope that somehow Duhon goes in the trade or at least we can pick up a better back-up PG from the D league or playground.

Yay! Now we can get to work on trading Dwight for all the pieces we are going to develop into a championship team!

I am in as long as it isn't a Saturday (the only day I work). We should wait until Dwight is traded and make it the night he makes his 1st appearance. Heck as much as I hate those seats I'd sit baseline just so he can hear me when he's on my end of the court... do they throw somebody out for loudly calling a player a POS? If so would they make an exception in Dwight's case?

BBD played well for us once he got past the personal losses of earlier in the season. IMO he's worth his contract and we should only trade him if he brings back equal value.

So after Dwight has repeatedly said he would only re-sign with the Nets now his agent is saying even that isn't true? IMO Dwight will stay WHEREVER he gets traded because of the extra $$$ Fagen will make. Fagen's cut off a huge increase in Howard goodies in Asian market will exceed his cut on Dwights new contract. I've heard that agents get 20% on endorsements and less than half that on contracts. There are only 2 logical destinations for Dwight- Houston and the Lakers. Houston can put together a better package and I would much rather see him there than help the Lakers win 2-3 more rings in the near future. I also think that the threat to go to Dallas after the season is pure BS. They will not have the $$$ to surround him with a great team no matter what they do. It's time for Morey and Good Job Rob to sit down and hash out a deal that will take effect when the 30 day rookie signing thingy passes, give us a halfway decent deal, and let both of our teams gear up for camp.

And Good Job Rob did well in the draft, got us something instead of nothing for Ryno that we couldn't keep, and re-signed Meer for what should prove to be a decent contract for the leader of our team.

I'm thinking that Good Job Rob's trip to L.A. was one final chance for Dwight to confirm that there was no chance of keeping him so he can get to work getting us a good trade. There may be offers out there that the media hasn't even gotten a hold of yet... who knows? It looks like time for all of us Magic fans to suck it up and get ready to watch a young hungry team play their butts off while we reload and get ready to be the dominant team when Miami gets too old.

We could actually put a decent package together of rookies, picks, JRich, JJ, BBD, and/ or Turk's buyout next year for a star player like Ellis. The thing is without a commitment from Dwight BEFORE such a trade it would be too big of a risk and jeopardize our future cap room. Dwight is the key to getting out of the cap hell that Otis put us in... and unless he commits soon to building with us we have to use that key and build without him.

And I personally would rather see Dwight in Houston helping them sell tickets and jerseys than forming another "super team" in LA or Brooklyn.

I'm leaning towards thinking that we deal with Houston once they have all their ducks in a row.

I can't imagine us trying to start the season with Dwight. IMO some writers are stirring the pot with a Nets slant and hoping... but why would we want Lopez and the others on the inflated contracts they got when we didn't think the deal was good before they got them?

Also I'm sure Good Job Rob carefully weighed out that after we trade Dwight and all or most of our bad contracts we still need to reach the league minimum in salary. Why not pay the guy with the most heart? I read somewhere his contract is between $6-7 which personally I do not have a problem letting Mr. Amway pay.
