I think we are playing Hedo so that we can prove there's nothing left in the tank and we won't feel bad buying him out next season. IMO people were thinking Ish had the potential to be better than Duhon... at least he could get the ball past half court. I would say he's done in the NBA after this season. I think we might have had a shot at the playoffs if it were not for injuries. Now that we really don't I hope all the teams below us make trades that make them pass us in the standings.

Now if Washington, Charlotte, and Phoenix can make trades to get a little better and we play Turk a lot more we are well on our way to the most ping pong balls :D

Hey look at the bright side... we are getting mostly very entertaining games while we work our way down to the most shots at ping pong ball #1. I'd love to hear the trade offers we are getting right now... somehow I have a feeling we end up with that Toronto pick in a multi-team deal!

Start Ayon at the 5 and Vuc at the 4

I for 1 am very happy with the effort that this team has shown most of the time. They have been far more entertaining than I expected and I expect will be even more so once Moore and Davis return. I have no idea what to expect out of Harrington coming off the injury but if he can bring some game we could be scary to some teams. Vuc, Mc Bob, Moore, Drew, and AA have all impressed me and I think we did good getting them. Throw in Davis and Meer when he's on and when the team is clickking we see some great games. Win or lose the entertainment value is there... now if we could just find something to do with Turk...

Basic basketball fundamentals... come to the ball so the other team can't cut the lane. In spite of that I'm proud that our guys hung so close with the heat without a PG on the floor!

Now that the season is rolling along, how do you feel about out team? IMO what we gave up in Dwight/Anderson/Clark/JRich/Duhon is not as good for our team as AA/Harrington/Vuc/Hark/McBob/Ayon, plus Moore who we wouldn't have had the $ to sign, plus picks, plus 2 big TPEs. We got 3 good defenders instead of 1 great one, a lot more heart and hustle, we got younger, no Dwama, and we got out of the cap hell that Otis put us in. We have a team that everyone is happy to play on, we got some decent picks, and some TPEs should we decide to use or trade them. For the 1st time in a long time we actually have a very fun team to watch where everybody plays hard (until Turk comes back), and that has a lot of potential for the future. Our team can even shoot FTs! On top of all of that, we got rid of DUHON!!! Thoughts?

I suggested trying Turk at the back-up 1 in the beginning of the season. I think I might like it (once he shakes off the rust) as long as we have guys on the floor that we can match up with. I don't think there has been a 6'10" PG since Magic Johnson. Meer/Turk/Smith JJ/Moore/Jones Afflalo/Harkless/McBob Baby/Drew/McBob Vuc/Ayon/O'Quinn Once everybody is healthy and we figure out who to trade Harrington to

I missed the game but according to the box score there were only 13 turnovers. Not really terrible. What we are missing is Baby's double double and we win!

Win or lose I expect our guys to compete and provide an entertaining game.

I would love for one of stat wizards to put a stat together of how many games he won for us vs how many he lost at the line for us. I remember many games where we had a decent lead, the other team started the hack a Howard, and soon they were right back in it. Dwight may go down as the best center the Magic ever had, but he doesn't have what it takes to be in the same sentence with Shaq, Kareem, Wilt, Russell, etc.

There's a few places inside that Amway that have great (but expensive) food as well.

Maybe the 4 until Baby gets back, then again we have Harrington soon too. IMO there is no place in our lineup for Harrington or Hedo once Glen is healthy again. Harrington may be tradable and maybe Mr DeVoss could buy Hedo a pizza joint and talk him into retiring.

LOL at the Hedo comment ^ and you are probably right. So the next question is when Hedo is ready to come back how does JV handle him if he is playing typical Hedo ball?

I had the same thing happen in a game a few years back. Shoulder popped out of joint but I didn't tear anything. Doctor popped it back in (hurt worse than the injury) but I was able to start shooting again in 3 days with some residual pain. I was a bit gun shy gong to the hole for a bit but after about 2 weeks it didn't hurt at all. I'm hoping the same for Big Baby.

Plus Harrington, AA, McBob (exp), picks, a big TPE, and we got rid of JRich, Clark, and Duhon as well. It also freed up space to sign Moore who I think will have a big future with us at the 2 if we can get a good backup PG. I for one liked the trade we did better than one taking Broken foot Lopez or Bad Knees Bynum back... but I also thought we would go into tank mode. Henny told us in the beginning that we'd like what he did with the team... and so far everybody seems positive about it!

AA had 3 assists, same as Harden had tonight. Nelson had 12 assists and JJ with 7. Great gut it out win with 31 assists and only losing on the boards by 1 to a good rebounding team :D

Loved this Game. This is heart and hustle 2 but we will win more games! I would not want to stand in front of Davis when he had his mind made up that he is going to the hole. As I said before the season started this team will surprise some teams and may even steal some wins from teams we should not beat on paper (Like the Lakers)

I think he was talking about heat like in temperature, or would have capitalized the "H" like in Miami Heat. If he does think we could beat the Miami Heat in a series then I need some of what he's smokin'... preferably before the weekend :D

I agree Manu. BBD brings it every game... good or bad game he brings everything he's got every time. That's not teachable.

I would love to be a fly in the wall and see what kind of offers we get on trades. It seems like a lot of teams have need/interest in: JJ AA Baby Harrington There has been lost of trades for AA proposed on RealGM... it could get interesting, maybe we can get a true backup PG and some more pix. We also still have at least 2 sizable TEs, 1 from RA and a big one from Dwight. Don't know if we'll use them but ythey do have some value to other teams.

Other than boards Dwight was outplayed by AV in the Cavs win. Duhon goes for 2 points, 2 assists, and 2 turnovers in 33 minutes as the starters. I told the Laker board we traded Dwight to them just to get rid of Duhon :D

I lived in L.A. for 18 years before moving to Florida. I was a Laker fan when Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Scott, Rambis, etc were tearing it up. I knew I would eventually move to Florida so I became a Magic fan in the 1st year and by the time I moved here in '93 I already had a ton of gear. I stayed a Laker fan right up until they got Dwight... now I'm a BIG fan of whoever they play against! I love reading the recaps and checking the box score to see how Dwight is doing at the line. Hack a Howard for everyone! Woohoo!

We need to keep JJ. He wants to be here and deserves to retire here.
