Is it just me or does Ben look like a young Jamie Fox?

Based on all the teams passing on him I have a feeling that the medical on Noel didn't look like a safe bet. I certainly didn't want to take a chance on him being Greg Oden 2.! Welcome to the Magic Victor!

    Prediction Time

Texas, like Florida has no state income tax... that should take away any advantage that the Lakers have with the extra year! Plus Dwight would be 1 more year closer to anther max contract.

It's unbelievable what a great sport Pops is. His congratulations was so honest it almost took away the pain of being about to watch LeBron hoist a trophy... so I turned off the TV when Pops walked off the floor. Win or Lose the Spurs organization has class... win or lose the Miami organization has none.

You are so right Soul Bro. Until proven otherwise I have 100% faith on the research that Henny and his staff do to get us the best draft and trades that are available... and maybe even surprise us all again with something off the wall that turns into another Vuch/Harris/Harkless type result.

Even if the calls go 50/50 what really counts is which way the calls go at the end of a game. The only way to beat that is to not have it close at the end of a game :D

Has anybody else noticed that most of the Heat's runs start with a really bad call or no call? I don't think it is possible for a ref to miss things like a guy being pushed out of bounds right in front of him or calling a foul when there was zero contact.

I agree with the people that are afraid of taking Noel and disagree with those that want to take the risk. Somebody said he was a "big"... actually he's a "tall". He weighs less than some of the PGs and SGs in the league and he's built like a match stick. That is NOT a "big" in my opinion. He's tall, can jump, and block shots. If that is what we want why not trade down and get a "big" that can do those things but has a body that can absorb NBA contact? I can see LeBron driving into Noel and ending his career in one play. Noel could easily end up being Greg Oden 2.0

how long are you willing to put up with being bad?

The Magic put an exciting team to watch on the floor. I'm OK with however long it takes as long as we are playing hard.

Jeff Van Gundy: Dwight Howard should leave Lakers and return to Magic

I voted hell no on both because the Magic are building a team that plays team ball and doesn't revolve around 1 player. This is going to be our system and it's going to work. For the 1st time in a long time we have assets that teams want, we have cap space coming up, and we have young guys that may just develop into something special! No room for Dwama!

Which team will you root for in the playoffs?

Gotta go with the Spurs over Miami. LeBron can't guard everyone and the Spurs have too many good players. Spurs in 6

Denton: Now Retired, Hill Didn't Deserve Criticism While With Magic

I agree with the 2 posters above. Grant Hill drew a very fat paycheck here for many years and played very little. IMO the right thing to do would have been sign here for the vet minimum and be a team leader and mentor to the rooks. I haven't done the numbers but I'd bet he got paid close to a million $ for every game he played :( BOOOOOOO

Magic Going All In For Chris Paul's Backup?

Having a fast PG that is hard to guard and that can really put defensive pressure on the opposing PG changes the whole flow of the game. They don't have to be elite, but having a PG that can get to the rim, the line, and hit 3s and FTs. Even quick little guys like Nate Robinson can change a game- look how many times he's come off the bench and brought Chicago and Boston back into a game. Meer is a GOOD PG for us, but it's time for us to start grooming our PG of the future. If we are going in for Bledsoe I hope we make a commitment before the draft so we can draft accordingly. Trading AA for Bleds and picking up one of the 2s in the draft would be cool in my book! It's going to be very interesting to see what moves Henny makes this off season.

Don't forget Davis at the 4 Meer/Burke Harkless/Moore Harris/?/Turk Baby/Nicholson/Harrington Vuc/O'Quinn I'd like to keep Baby but move AA, Turk & Harrington (both have buyouts and would be desireable for teams trying to get under for a decent SF and a 4/5 combo player if we don't get one in the draft... the problem with this lineup is that we may win too many games and miss the lotto.

The Only Option is to Tank

We need to start Turk and play him 40 minutes, and have every play go through him... tank solved!

Who do you want draft day 2013?

We have to keep SOME vets in order to reach the minimum salary... doesn't mean we have to play them much :D

#10 is not bad considering we finished in last place. I think Rob's time will come 2014-2015 when all of the seeds he's planting bear fruit. I think it is evident now that Orlando got the best of the Dwight Howard trade and it will look even better as these guys mature and Dwight either bolts in the summer or re-signs with the Lakers to help them continue to implode. I think Rob got a lot of consideration for not taking Bynum even though most thought that was the obvious choice.

    Poetic Justice

There's a few things that could make this justice even better: The short handed Bulls take out Miami The Griz take out the Thunder Warriors take out Spurs Pacers take out the Knicks Pacers-Bulls and the Warriors- Griz semi finals Pacers-Griz finals Griz win it all ... We are so overdue for a new champion Dwight bolts Bynum goes back to Lakers and can't play Magic get 1st pick and trade AA for another lottery pick I can dream right?

Who do you want draft day 2013?

Although I would prefer Noels that possibility of him being damaged goods and having a Greg Oden career is there so I picked Burke.
