Thank you Nyce, nyce find! He's got a nice soft touch around the basket, doesn't shy away from contact, jumps out of the gym, seems to have great handles and passes really well for a big. I like the pick. If we can teach him to make FTs and get a good jumper he'll be awesome!

I think a lot of people are forgetting that we have a lot of cap space to sign a few shooters to a 1 year contract.

We gotta either keep some vets or sign some or we will be too far under the cap :D Why not Jameer and Maxiel, tow hard working vets that have the right attitude to mentor our rooks :D

I posted this on Real GM on the winners-losers draft post: think those of you that think Orlando draft went well see the glass half full and those of you that think they did poorly are probably in for another surprise... including the Magic's own fans. -Remember when the Dwight Howard trade went down and this guy came in nicknamed Vuc that nobody really heard of or had much info on? Now the fans love him and he's one of the top Cs in the league. -How about that guy named Harris that Orlando got from the Bucks for a guy that was gone at the end of the season anyway? -Do you remember that Henny and the Magic turned down both Andrew Bynum and Broken Foot Lopez in the Dwight trade? Where would we be if we took either of them? -Have you seen how Kyle O'Quinn is progressing? -OK so maybe Nicholson hasn't blossomed yet but in general Henny has done very well with his picks and trades. On this draft day we came away with exactly the positions we needed filled. We got our PG of the future, we got a strong D PF to protect the rim and help Vuc get boards, and we got a great shooter that given some minutes is capable of putting up some serious numbers. Based on previous results I have to trust Henny's team has done their homework and found flaws in the guys they passed over and found us some great talent that a year or 2 from now other teams are wishing they would have grabbed. On top of that we have huge cap space and can bring in some vets to mentor our rookies. IMO great job Rob!

We were involved in 2 of the 6 reported trades today. No fan can accuse Henny of not doing anything on draft day LOL

Would people be happier if we took Payton at 4 and Gordon at 10 or 12? It's the end result that is most important and we accomplished a lot today. We made it possible to move VO5 to his natural position and with lots of minutes available We got our PG of the future We got a PF that can cover some of Vuc's weakness on D We have a ton of cap space We picked up a shooter that just might be a hidden gem It doesn't matter which order things occurred, the results are exactly the positions I hoped we'd fill. Maybe not the same players, but close enough!

I'm hoping this becomes one of those scratching your head and then a light bulb comes on and we all get it! Otherwise, We did what???

I would certainly hope so, we KNOW that we could definitely do better than this!

I'm sure that some doctors in NJ and Brooklyn gave the same advice to the Nets before they loaded up broken foot Lopez with that fat contract. I would be OK with the risk if we get a 3rd top 12 pick and make sure we address the needs for a PG and a PF that can help cover Vuc on D

How many of you would trade #4 for Broken Foot Lopez? So why would you pick someone with great potential to be the same type of player. He may give someone some great games every season but I'll bet he sits out more than he plays. I said no, Smart, Exum. 1st we need our point guard of the future more than we need anything else (unless we can get Wiggins or Parker) 2nd we need a PF that can cover Vuc's deficiencies on but can also spread the floor on O : D 3rd we need to sit down with AA and see if him staying and re-signing is an option 4th we need to develop our own shooters

I'm thinking broken foot Lopez with a back injury added in. There were a few on the board that wanted us to take Lopez in a Dwight trade... I'm glad Henny wasn't part of that thinking. How many games has Lopez played since then? This draft is too important to take any major risks. We need to take the BPAs that are 100% healthy and ready to learn how to play Magic basketball!

He passed on Bynum, Lopez AND Noel!!! He had a chance to draft a damaged big that would be possibly a great shot blocker.

He looks awkward almost every time he jumps in the video. I didn't see him do anything in the video that lots of other PFs can't do. I don't watch college ball except March madness so I really haven't seen much of what he does. So far I haven't been upset with anything Henny has done so I will stay confident that he does his homework and picks the best players for us!

I would love to have the Polish Hammer back! He's only been a starter for a limited time and IMO still has a lot of productive career left. Gortat and Vuc in front as a twin tower combo would be great with Harris, Vic, and Exum/Smart. With Nelson leading the charge from the bench. Gortat/OQuinn/Vuc Vuc/#12/OQuinn Harris/Harkless Vic/Moore/Lamb #4/Nelson/Moore/Price Plus whatever we can get for AA :D

I could see us trading AA and getting another great pick and ending up with both Smart and Exum. Add Vic to the mix and you have 3 great guards that can play both positions. Then we grab a shooter or PF at 12 and we are well on our way.

After last year's series and thinking SA should have had it, I had no doubt this year it would be over precisely and quickly. Whether you are a fan or not you have to agree that the Spurs are a great team.

I wouldn't be totally surprised if somehow Nelson and AA get traded and we end up with both Smart and Exum along with who we pick up at the 12th slot. Let them battle it out to start or split the minutes between them and Vic 1 & 2 with Moore and Lamb as backups if needed.

I can't believe that people are actually discussing having Boozer on the Magic. We need our vets to be role models not cap space fillers. The vets we have all play hard, have great attitudes, and make an effort to play some decent D., so we should not bring in somebody who doesn't to show our rooks the other side of the coin.

From the little I've seen... IMO Embiid has the potential to be better than Dwight was. He's got an outside shot, can make FTs, and has very smooth footwork already. We are going to get a great player at #4 regardless of who we end up with.
