Exactly, about $10M a year less for the same performance was my point! Instead we have an unmovable contract for too many years for a very overpaid big.

I think the VO trade had potential if Ibaka had played up to par, the Harris trade I think was a big mistake and yet was deeply overshadowed by the Biyombo and Jeff Green signings. We should have floated Dedmon a decent offer for 4 years. Imagine if we had Harris at the 3 right now with Isaac backing him and AG up plus had an extra $10M a year to play with instead of Biyombo. Now imagine this: DSJ-EP Fournier-Ross Harris-Simmons AG-FA Vuc-Dedmon

If we could get Bled for Mario, DJ, and a protected pick you have to make that move. Payton off the bench would be excellent and we could split the minutes 50/50. There are extremely limited opportunities to upgrade at PG and even with Bled's knee issues the extra scoring is worth the chance. If Bled goes down we move EP back to starter and either suck it up with Mack or run Fournier at the point. I say make the offer! One thing I don't want to do is find ourselves in a position where we have to pay the kind of bucks to Payton that a PG that CAN shoot should be paid.

The overhang is like always having a hand in your face. Nobody could ever convince me that it does not affect his vision of the basket.

And a scoring PG changes the dynamics for the whole team!

If we could get him for DJ, Mario, and a protected pick we would have to do it. Having a point guard that can shoot changes the whole dynamics of our team. Payton would be fantastic off the bench and ready to go if Bled's knee(s) go out. We gotta at least make the offer.

I don't wish injury on anybody but I WOULD like to see how we play without him for a while.

Think Biyombo & Jeff Green signings and that answers your question. Our new GM got us a decent bench at a fraction of the price. Simmons was a great pick up!

We should try starting Fournier at the point with Simmons and Ross. We play so much better with a PG that can shoot. EP should be 3rd string until he learns to shoot.

It would make me very happy if Mario all of the sudden started looking like the 5th pick in the draft should by now.

We'd probably have to give up AG and our 1st. He REALLY sucks!

I wouldn't say AG is but EP's lack of shooting definitely does.

Having a PG that can shoot at all changes our team chemistry. I still don't get why we didn't take DSJ. I'm sure Isaac will be a good, possibly great player but we needed a PG that can shoot more than anything else!

IMO DSJ will be the best PG from this last draft.

That is not a logical reason to pass on a scoring PG that will probably be the ROY when we have a PG that can't shoot!

Me too! The only logical reason I can think of that we didn't take DSJ is that we couldn't get a halfway decent offer for Payton.

OOOPS I was working off this and it's 8 out of 9 PG: Payton, Augustin, Mack SG: Fournier, Ross, Simmons, Afflalo SF: Isaac, Hezonja, Iwundu PF: Gordon C: Vucevic, Biyombo, Speights, Birch Yes removing Green and Watson is excellent but we are also replacing Ibaka who although did not play up to speed did contribute. If Simmons is 3rd string how much can he really contribute? I'd rather have him back up Fournier and move Ross to SF ahead of Mario and maybe give Mario minutes at the 4 behind AG until we trade him (Mario).
