  1. John Hollinger ‏@johnhollinger

Go easy on Hennigan. Hearing Orl Pres Alex Martins likely ran this one. Always good to have non-bball folks make critical decision.

Better not be true im tired of non basketball people interfering and ruining our team

LMAO at people defending this trade as a reasonable decision by Hennigan, when he may not have even supported it.

  2. Howard had made obvious that he wants out of Orlando. Hasn't he? He has finished Orlando in his head, he even named places he would desire (or maybe dream) to be.

Supporters of this last decision should explain the logic in shaping things as per the wishes of the player who is not committed to the Orlando Magic.

Trading howard for a center and several draft picks would have made more sense in terms of creating a strong team in 2-3 years.

    Not this discussion again :svgsad:

  3. How funny (ironic) would it be if the Magic fire Van Gundy, the Lakers fire Brown and hire Van Gundy after losing the series to the Thunder, Howard doesn't commit long-term to Orlando, and the Magic trade Howard for Bynum? Howard would be stuck with Van Gundy after all.

  4. False. All this series shows is that, without Dwight (or another player able to draw a double team), Indiana is able to stick West on Anderson to minimize his impact on the floor. They haven't paid nearly as much attention to Clark in terms of defense.

He had fantastic games against Denver, Charlotte, Utah and Philly without Dwight.

The discussion concerns this specific series, but thanks for your input.

  5. No I really didn't because Clark sucks whether Dwight is playing or not. He doesn't rotate defensively, he kills any rhythm or flow on offense when he touches the ball, and he has one of the lowest basketball IQs on the team.

Even if we _assume_ your entire statement is true, he's still playing better relative to Anderson, which is the whole point of this discussion. The numbers posted above don't generalize or make assumptions. Defensively, Clark has more rebounds and blocks. Offensively, Clark has more rebounds and a better field-goal percentage.

  6. Please tell me what Clark had done thus far to warrant PT over Anderson. And If you really didn't think that Anderson's success was highly dependent on Dwight, then that's your own fault

You answered your own question. Anderson isn't successful without Dwight, as revealed by his numbers in this series. Overall, Clark has a better field-goal percentage, more rebounds, and less fouls than Anderson - and all with less playing time.
