    Okay, seriously. What?

That's a worm hole you don't wanna enter.

Sybil was probably easier to have a discussion with.

how often is pec going to be wrong?

"in this economy gortat would be lucky to get $900,000"

And he is still overpaid for a backup center.

Plus check to see how many teams dumped salary. That's right a lot more then those who added.

So yes its the economy stupid.

I think you are looking at this wrong. He is not a back up he is a trading piece that is very valuable. So we are hedging our bets for latter and putting together a killer line up.

  2. I'm glad we have VC instead of Hedo but the year before last he had his best season and he has been our 2nd and 3rd option for years.

It is hard to average 20 ppg for a European rookie if you are joining the league on a contending team.

VC is the better overall player, sure. But he never played for a contender and his numbers will never be 24-25 ppg for the Magic. If they are that high here, then the Magic is in serious trouble!

I can easily imagine Hedo averaging 20+ppg on the Nets, very easily!

In fact, although not as crappy as the Nets, he might actually average around 20+ppg in Toronto.

Let's see how VC pulls it off when playing on a contending team. I am telling you already, he will not get his numbers here. If he gets frustrated because of that, watch the drama!

There is not way he will average his usual numbers for the Magic.. If he starts worrying about his numbers, that is a problem.. If he does get his numbers, there is a problem again as it is a sign of a one man show and not a team.

If Vince wants to do good for the Magic, he needs to learn how to cope and live with 19-20 ppg.

What had Hedo done prior to last season. The fact that we are holding a Carter Vs Hedo argument speaks volumes towards how overrated light skin colored atheletes seem to get. Hedo wasn't even a top 3 player on the Magic and we are replacing him with an 8 time All-Star super stud. Any comparison is bananas

  3. Some of you were saying this gave you the goose bumps but I thought that was just hype. But WOW it did! I'm so looking forward to next season. I liked Turk but he had things that just drove us crazy, I'm looking forward to watching a more complete player "VC" play with Dwight this team is going to be so amazing with some consistancy now.

Right now Id take Sheed over Hedu, he plays for the love of the game not the bank. Seroiusly y are ppl accepting this idea of wanting a couple million more.

What happened to sports. Michael Jordan? u kno him?

It's called most people, especially here in America, are greedy. We are raised here to believe that power, status, and NET WORTH are the ultimate goals in life.

They either weren't around or have forgotten that pro athletes used to play for pennies compared to what athletes today played for. They have forgotten that it USED to be about the love of the game and money was just a nice side benefit. People can call me pathetic, hypocritical, or anything else all they want....but many of the responses in this thread and other Hedo threads are great examples of how the almighty dollar rules so many lives.

Rasheed and Artest both have said it's about winning, not the money. They both realize they are set for life and a few extra million is a definite WANT not a NEED. Hedo hasn't figured that out. Either he has an extremely materialistic lifestyle or he is obsessed with becoming Turkey's richest man. Either way, I'd take a player with Rasheed's attitude over Hedo's any day of the week.

Why don't you give up 10% of your salery and give it away. I'll miss Turk but could you honestly say you would give up 10 million dollars so you could get a ring worth a couple of grand?

  5. What I heard it was 36M even if it was 35M Hedos agents must have said they would not go near that because why would Otis not try to get him for 36M then. Otis must of thought that Hedo was in the realm of 50M and that he wasn't going much further down. So what does Otis do, he gets us a piece that makes us better and see's what happens to Turk. Imagine if he didn't get hedo and didn't get anyone who could play at his level, you would call him incompetent.
