Give him 7 mil a year and keep everyone (i.e. DWIGHT) happy.

Id take consistency at the point, over an up and down, poor / good rollercoaster - droppin 30 a night still averages in to their per game total.... that just points out a another negative for Jameer vs. Ridnour

and BTW... JN put up 30 once last year (31)...

so did Ridnour: 1, 30 plus game (32)

I cant see why he deserves anything more than Ridnour numbers....

They both play piss poor D,

usually get around 12-15 per game game

Ridnour actually avgs more assts. and less turnovers.... all that in less playing time!

Lets not get crazy here, even Otis has dubbed Nelsons past performance as Sub-Par....

We are basically giving JN, the type of money we said Darko wasnt worth? Is this a joke? Nelsons game isnt even proven, its all upside, potential, the same problem many of us had around here with Darko and the money.

If Otis signs Jameer any where much over Ridnour type dollars, it will just be another instance of mis-management. But WTH, lets try to slip this snaffu past the media while they are still laughing at us for the Shard contract.

Jameer = 6 / 7 mil per AT MOST, and that is grossly overpaying for what we have gotten previously from him. Thats a gamble, based on speculation and upside.

Most around here base their arguements on "lets see what he can do" " or "he should play better under SVG, wait and see" or "his game comes cheap and we can still see what he brings"....

You guys and Otis better be right... because we are not waiting to see what he can do, we are placing our future in his hands, his unproven, turnover prone, poor decision making, bad defensive, hands.

Unless SVG can change EVERY aspect of Jameers game, the money we are about to fork over will not be worth it.

Darko did get the one big board there, but he was just standing there taking up space and it bounced his way, and Battie does that real well, so thats a wash.

But it did bring back some faith in the PG spot, and I also noticed we were pushing the entire time... We will see alot of this next year!

  4. Man guys... I just wanted to share something YFP posted in another thread....

It gives me a good feeling about some of my worries and gets me way pumped for next year. Maybe some my above thaughts are a bit glass half full

  5. Im gonna play devils advocate for a second here, but before I do, Let me say this: Looking forward, its all we can do now- no need to lament what if's, this sucks, this blows, eff that, fire this guy, bla, bla, bla, I like the product we are going to have on the floor.

The second we moved on from BHill, that was greatest improvement this team needed and did. It will allow ALL of our guys to actually play within a system that we are definalty built more for playing, and especially given the addition of Shard. The speed, attitude, movement, and scoring should make us one he11 of a team to watch.

    but........

The PG situation is nothing more than POTENTIAL - neither of these guys has ever flourished for a season in a starting role. They have had their times, that I cannot deny..

I think we are all in agreement that both are capable of doing much better, Under SVG I am sure their quickness, passing, and mobility will definalty be a better asset, but lets not paint our glassess blue here. We need alot better play out of either or both of them or we are really goin to see were we are thin at.

We are so already over the cap!

    implications?

How does this effect the guys we gave QO to? do we hafta renounce them, or can we still sign them and go more over the cap since they were under contract with us last year?

How does this leave us in the eyes of the CBA... what options do we have going forward? Being already over the cap? does that hog tie us with how we can deal with other temas? and how those deals can be done?

are we saying we are fine with our squad for the next forseeable future.

Im just tryin to look at this BIG picture style with some money included into it...there hasta be something else in the works right??? where do you see any wiggle room after looking at this and where and what can be moved for trade exceptions or whatever we hafta do - see my question above.
