Do you want Billups playing and healthy?

Well, letting Darko walk for nothing was stupid, and trading for him when he wasn't part of any long term plans was worse, but in terms of the draft choices we lost an opportunity at, we lost Stuckey. In drafting Darko, you lost Melo, Bosh, Wade, and a host of others later in that draft. I'd say the initial pick was still worse. The Magic gave away a #15 pick on a player that already had proven to be a bust. Not only that, but they took on Carlos Arroyo and his obsessive fanbase Seriously..I think Carlos will end up playing for every single NBA franchise and there will be some that still will defend and make excuses for him

Based on sheer trade value alone, Carmelo would have been hands down more valuable than Darko at the time Darko was traded, and that's completely leaving out the fact that he would have been a solid contributor to the Pistons. Not to mention the positive influence a solid group of veteran players around him would have been to his behavior. That positive influence sure didn't help Rodney White. Not to mention, you have to play defense with Detroit and that's something Carmelo doesn't do. Also, add in the fact that Larry Brown would be our coach. Fact of the matter is we needed more size at the PF/C, not another potential SF headcase. Especially with the way Tayshaun emerged While Darko ended up a bust, it was a risk worth taking. Carmelo may have more trade value, but I don't regret drafting him for a second. Let him rot in Denver and continue to ****up with J.R. Smith To deny, with the benefit of hindsight, that Carmelo had a better chance of helping Detroit than Darko is laughable. Chris Kaman would have had more impact in Detroit than Darko had. Well, we won a championship with Darko and came within 6:00 in game seven, in San Antonio, of going back-to-back. Suffice to say, I think we've done OK. Of course, Kaman would've been better than Darko. A Bag of Ruffles Chips is better than J.J. Redick. You seem to keep forgetting that there was already a consensus top 3. We can use hindsight all we want, but nothing is going to change that. Btw, you do recall that Carmelo did pickup a DUI DURING the playoff? ****...I toss and turn wishing we could've drafted that knucklehead

    Chauncy Billups update please

I guarantee they crumble again without him... making them a one-trick pissed-on pony. I realize your entire post was nothing but a bitter diatribe against Detroit. Most likely due to the fact that Detroit has haunted Orlando one way or another since the "Tragic" have been established. But I couldn't help but laugh simply over having the admiration to include J.J. Redick in your screename. Especially when I watch NBA TV and see those **** improve your shooting with Redick dvd's every five minutes. What a bust(not surprising, but still) he turned out to be.

Is MAGICFAN4EVA1 the resident Orlando Magic village idiot around here? I'm surprised you haven't found a flimsy reason to ban the fool

    Happy AboutThe Win But...

The Magic were lucky that they won this game, it took home court and Billups not playing for the Magic to win this one. Funny. On your pistons board you seem to be indicating that we were making excuses for the game2 loss, now you come here with that? your quote from the pistons forum thread: quote: Posted May 06, 2008 04:23 AM Hide Post If you check out the Magic forum they are *****en about how they should have won, since they wouldn't have had to foul so much the last 17 seconds of the game. Some of the fans are smart enough to blame the turnovers during the fourth quarter but most of them are blaming the Refs. Saying if they had the power to put .5 seconds on the clock they had the power to say the clock was at .0 seconds and be able to review the shot. The reasons rules get changed are due to problems after they happen. The Magic had a chance to win and they didn't. They were depending on the 3 pointer too much tonight which killed us in the third but we came back and fought hard for the win. It was a nerve racking game and I'm glad we won. You had a chance to win and you didn't. Injuries are part of the game, your oh so great team is supposed to be able to overcome it. It was a great game, and I'm glad WE won. Priceless! Especially from the franchise who won it's first title because Magic pulled a hammy!!! By your logic, I guess the Lakers were lucky to beat Detroit in '88 due to the Isiah ankle injury. Perhaps you should not get too full of yourself and just focus on the series at hand. Btw, if you even want to attempt at talking trash, perhaps you should choose another franchise. Orlando is more known for McGrady's excitement for reaching the 2nd round, only to have it blow up in his face and look like a jackass in '03 than losing both games at home and eventually getting swept in the 1995 Finals

Orlando got the break it needed

I have full confidence in Stuckey, even though he is a rookie and have full confidence that Detroit will be in the ECF. Even before Chauncey was injured, I figured Orlando would win. They started out on fire, Rasheed and Max were in foul trouble/gave us nothing and Chauncey got hurt. Yet,they still rallied and at the start of the 4th, Orlando only led by 4 and that arena was nervous as ****. My problem with the Billups injury is that it would really come into effect against Boston or Cleveland if it is severe as it looked. At least we have the best trainer in the league, so hopefully he will work his magic yet again. Anyway, game 4 is crucial for Orlando, whether Chauncey is ready to go or not.

He whines about every single call against him. He leads the league in Technicals and that should result in at least 1 game suspension. I know that Kobe had 1 flagrant foul every game for 2 games in a row and if he got one in the 3rd game he wouldve gotten a 1 game suspension. It should be the same with technical fouls but make it if u get a technical foul 5 games in a row you get a suspension I think he needs to be suspended as the biggest crybaby, whiner ever. He constantly whines, wimpers and cries. Were you talking about Rasheed or MAGICFAN4EVA1?

With Billups possibly seriously injured, this series just became a whole lot closer.

  14. As a Pistons fan, I might agree with you totally if you didn't play like total crap in the 4th. All the whining and tin foil conspiracy theories won't change that. Tough break, but it happens in sports. Thus, move on and quit looking for others to displace blame on

Detroit...the reason Otis should have resigned Darko

I have to admit, Rodney Stuckey would look pretty good as your starting PG. That way, you bring Nelson off the bench as the sixth man(as he should be) and cut Carlos Arroyo's worthless *** Score another one for Dumars
