    Winner, winner, chicken dinner...

I like Wallace, but we need a better PG if we are going to move Hedo, and SVG would have to be willing to alter his scheme a lot to maximize the talent of such a roster. More emphasis on running & D.

Could we acquire Wallace for trash & keep Hedo?

Every team is going to be positioning themselves to dump salary the next two seasons & there will be numerous opportunities to add Wallace, Hinrich caliber players below market value.

Uhhh isn't that what SVG's system is, or at least what its supposed to be? Running and D?

I guess having Jameer doesn't make this deal a slam dunk, because of Hedo's playmaking skills. But I know as 3-4 combos go G-Force and Lewis would be a better fit than Lewis and Hedo, no doubt about that. And a defense that featured Dwight, Gerald, and Pietrus would be downright sick. It would put a lot of pressure on Jameer and A.J. though.

I think if Otis were to trade Hedo, it would be to move Lewis back to SF.

I hope this 8 man rotation is an early season thing, because going that tight would be pure idiocy and just asking for our top 6 players to get totally burned out by February.

Hopefully by mid-season we'll be at a solid 9-10 man rotation that SVG can be confident in.

Until then, I hope SVG knows what he's doing.

Your wrong. Wade, Caron & Rasual Butler and Udonis Haslem, all started for Stan, during his 2 years as HC of the Heats. Stan love to play his "Young" players, it's just that we haven't had any young players worth playing yet.

i heard they are trying to move aldridge, they have plenty of 4's anyway, and sergio is officially on the block now. ike makes the contracts work.

not only does portland get a playmaker, but they clear up some roster spots/ roster questions.

charlotte gets back much needed size-the direction they are going to go. they would have a pretty good team on paper...not much depth, but if you can get a solid 7-8 man rotation you can make some noise in the playoffs.

Pro Basketball News has also been hearing since preseason that the Portland Trail Blazers have been seeking out teams for a blockbuster move as well, with no one outside of Greg Oden, LaMarcus Aldridge and Brandon Roy considered untouchable.

  4. Sources: Bobcats to trade Wallace

    quote:
Multiple NBA sources have confirmed that Charlotte moving Gerald Wallace is imminent, but Pro Basketball News has yet to learn of a definitive destination at this time.

The Bobcats have apparently talked about Wallace's long-term value to the franchise (he signed a six-year, $57 million extension in July of 2007) and decided that they would be better suited allocating such a significant salary to somebody else.

Who? Word is we'll know much sooner than later.

Yahoo! Sports reported in late October that Michael Jordan was talked out of trading Wallace in the offseason, but four games have apparently been enough to convince head coach Larry Brown that the Bobcats can afford to part with Wallace.

Golden State would be an ideal destination for Wallace, who

would fit right in with the Warriors' up-and-down style. Forward

Al Harrington, who has fallen out of favor with head coach

Don Nelson and demanded a trade that he's been told will

be granted at some point, is owed $19.3 million through next

season ($9.3 this year and $10 next at player option) and would

be the ideal pawn in a deal.

Considering New York has also been tied as a possible

destination for Harrington, the fact the Knicks have Eddy Curry collecting dust also makes them a potential partner in a multiple-team deal.

Pro Basketball News has also been hearing since preseason that the Portland Trail Blazers have been seeking out teams for a blockbuster move as well, with no one outside of Greg Oden, LaMarcus Aldridge and Brandon Roy considered untouchable.

There are rumors that Charlotte has also been said to have grown displeased with the inconsistent play of Raymond Felton and is also ready to pull the plug on Adam Morrison, so a massive shakeup could be in the works. This is not uncharted territory for Brown, who last looked to significantly shake up the Knicks roster following his disastrous first season in New York and was fired instead, replaced by then-president Isiah Thomas.

It appears that Brown has a more willing listener in his new boss, who has apparently grown tired of the product he's currently putting out there. The Bobcats have not won more than 33 games in their four-year existence and look no closer to being playoff contender than they were in their expansion season, but are about to get a face lift.

Stay tuned to more from Pro Basketball News on this developing story

He wouldn't make this team better at all. He'd just create more problems. He gets injured every year and he would duplicate the same problem we already have, two sf's in the starting line up.

The only logical reason to trade Turk would be to get a PF and or PG. Trading him for Gerald Wallace would just be stupid.

Oh and Jareth, no way Portland will ship out Outlaw. Guy's a baller.

They have Batum and Webster. Not to mention Rudy and Roy can play the 3.

If they trade Outlaw I will send you a lifetime supply of moist towelettes.

...for whatever reason that was the first thing that popped in my mind. I swear i'm crazy

10 bucks says they trade Outlaw sometime in his NBA career.

10 dollars says he ate pancakes this morning.

Fine then how about this smart guy.

Is that you Matt Millien? This trade does nothing for the Bobcats, and there giving up the most. You know Curry and James both have player option on there contract too, and ain't no way that they would opt themselves out of that money.

Personally I would make this move, G-Wall is Mr Versatility he brings everything to the court and IMO would fit in perfectly with our starting 5. There is no way it happens though!

    Nelson

    Pietrus

    Wallace

    Lewis

    Howard

Also changed the title as people will think it is a trade to us that is iminent!

If we were to trade Turk, don't you think it will be to move Lewis back to the SF position.

Not necessarily, Wallace brings a whole new game to Orlando, he is a better rebounder and defender than Turk which will help ease some pressure on Shard

But we just signed MP for 4 yrs, who does all the same things Wallace does. It just doesn't make sense at all for the Magic.

What does Turk do that Wallace cant?

He run the offense better than Wallace.

Isn't that Jameer's job? Wallace is a better rebounder, all round defender and he is averaging just under 20ppg this year.

I like Turk but we can see already that he is not the same as last season, sell high is very key here!

The offense run alot better, when the ball is in Turk hand, and last time I check Hedo and Wallace, both average 6 rpg last year, and Wallace has a problem with staying healthy.

Just so you know Turk is averaging 16/7/4 a game, so his stat are very similar to last year. The Bobcats are looking for a starting PF, so you can scratch Turk name off that list.
