quote:Count Dallas In: Mavericks' owner Mark Cuban tossed the Mavericks into the discussion regarding Knicks' guard Stephon Marbury. Marbury has been given permission by the Knicks to seek out interest from other teams, with the stipulation that a buyout could be worked out if Marbury were to head to a Western Conference team. The Mavericks have been really struggling and Cuban told reporters not only was he a "big Marbury" fan that he knew "several" teams would have interest in Marbury if he was indeed bought out by the Knicks. Cuban was quick to reverse his commentary when he realized he was commenting a player still under contract to another team, something he is not permitted to do. It is clear if Marbury is looking for a new home, the Dallas Mavericks can and would take a chance on him.So it look like he won't be signing with no teams in the east.

Well they did need a PG. Besides Felton they didnt have much else.
Yeah, but I think Brook Lopez and Mario Chalmers or George Hill would've been better than Augustin and that Alexis kid.

Drafting a backup point guard 10 spots early with the 3rd pick has stupid written all over it.
What 3rd pick?

AJ is a bum. They said before Otis signed AJ, he pop in the 2006 Pacers vs Nets playoff game, (the game AJ score 40 points) and was like I got to sign this guy.
-
We need a backup PG, because AJ isn't getting the job done.

Could of had him for cheap... but Otis liked the team he had.
We need another small forward?
He talking about before we signed Lewis.

The Knicks score 35 points in the 1st quarter, and we score 38 points in the 1st half. We need to turn it up 2nd half.
-
Morrison is heating up out there.
-
we need to turn it up this quarter

It's time to feed Dwight the ball down low.

Peaches is off to a good night.

Lee should put on a good performance today against the Bobcats.

quote:There has been exploratory talk between the Bobcats and Jamaal Tinsley's agent should the Pacers buy out the NBA's and Brooklyn's best deactivated point guard.I think Tinsley would be a better option for the Magic.
On a another note, according to HoopsHype.com the Cavs offered Anderson Varejao and Wally Szczerbiak to the Nets for Vince Carter ...

Jameer has been playing great the past couple of games, if he could keep it up, he should be fine.

Otis definitely should consider signing Tinsley for the vet min, if he is brought out by the Pacers.

Ofcourse thats after I watch my Detroit Lions get killed in Charlotte by the Panthers.
So im hoping that after I drink my self into dumbness after the football game, I can feel better about my life choices when the Magic own the Bobcats.
"Man, I hope im not let down"
I'm a Lions fan too.

The Hawks are losing to the Nets 99-82 in the 4th quarter, so a win tomorrow will put us in 1st place.

quote:If you're looking for a Texas team that will give Marbury a real look, NBA front-office sources say it's Dallas. Mavs owner Mark Cuban has a friendly relationship with Marbury, and Cuban's team clearly needs more scoring off its punchless bench. With Jason Terry operating primarily as a shooting guard these days, J.J. Barea is Dallas' primary backup to Jason Kidd at the point.I definitely could see Cuban signing Marbury, when he's release by the Knicks.
On another note the first paycheck of this season was distributed Friday. Marbury earned $1,828,125.

I'm really really worried about this game. Teams are usually hard pressed to bring the same effort after a tough emotional win like last night's game. The Bobcats also have a couple of very good perimeter scorers and a quality point guard. Not a particularly easy match up for the Magic.
All that being said, we win 175 to 48. Give or take another 30 points if Warlock plays.
You know Jason Richardson is out with a injury.

Why, the have 4 players capable of playing SG at a pretty high level. Which is the reason they are interested in moving Belinelli in the first place.
quote:In his first start in the NBA, Warriors guard Anthony Morrow scored 37 points on 15-of-20 shooting with four three-pointers, 11 rebounds and one assist. The undrafted rookie made a lot of GMs feel silly with this performance. We've seen project guards in the Warriors starting five before--DeMarcus Nelson is now in the D-League and the jury is still out on C.J. Watson--but Morrow looks like the real deal. Calling this a career night is an understatement, and you should definitely rush to pluck him out of the free agent pool.
They have 5 now. Wasn't Morrow on the Heats summer league squad this year?
'No question' Magic GM Otis Smith wants Patrick Ewing back (Schmitz)

Hopefully, Ewing will resign back with the Magic, but I think D'Antoni will try to offer Ewing the assistant HC job again next summer, and I think Ewing might accept the offer this time.
