i'd say he has it about right for the top 4 then there's the phoenix ranking...that proves some kind of flaw in the formula. Having them (or the magic for that matter) above the rockets is CRAZAY. Actually...i can't figure out how 5 teams with a combined 2 championships (right?) are above the rockets.

if we had adelman, i think we're at about the same place we are now because the dude is simply a great coach...if we had donovan, i think we would be on par with the atlanta hawks. That is, a team with an absurd amount of talent that just can't break through and make much noise for an extended period of time because they go through so many tough bouts with the retardeds.

My point still stands, only a few teams have really made their mark as NBA champions, and in this era if you don't have that super all star player or an elite squad, your toast. even if we count from the 90s, it was only a handful of teams that won: LA Houston Chicago SA Detroit Boston and miami struck gold. so for the last 20 years, basically 6 teams have been able to reach the promised land. no...i agree with the overall point. In the last 30 years i think 8 teams have won. That's just beyond absurd.
