The Official "trade for ____ ? Thread"
fishybashi replied to Jareth Cutestory's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Sign and trade: Gortat, Carter, and JJ for D. Wade and M. Beasley The Magic need to find a way to somehow move Carter. He is not in the equation in my book. The team needs a player who can "take over" a game. I think Otis will trade for or try to get: 1) CJ Watson 2) Gilbert Arenas -
Otis thinks PF "is not the problem"?
fishybashi replied to Die Mannschaft's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Vince is the problem. Took too many shots away from Lewis, who should be option number 2. We need a facilitator who can also drive/score. Wade. Get rid of Carter. Heck I'd rather have Redick play over him. -
Winning the series against Boston is possible, especially for this Orlando Magic team. If we were able to sweep the Bobcats and the Hawks, the mentality is to think "sweep Boston". Beating them 4 games in a row is possible if we continue to play the way we did last night. Keys: Carter needs to break out of his funk. He is the last one to get out of this little skid. Bass was huge! Thanks SVG for getting him on the floor. The Magic are back! It's time to believe again.

I won't let a bad ECF ruin an otherwise exciting season, but after watching the last 3 games with Boston, it brought to light some glaring problems this team has always possessed: 1) The need for better run offense. It may be clear that the buck starts and stops at the play of our court general. I hate to admit it, but against these Celtics we missed Hedo. Rondo outclassed Nelson in running the offense, and we never had a good start in all 3 games. 2) Howard needs help down low. Toughness is necessary in this league, and Howard clearly needs help. When he fails to rebound and block, we have no other weapons down low to throw at the enemy. 3) Where's the urgency? Our team is still a bunch of nice guys. Where's the competitive edge? The Orlando needs a another star to pair with Dwight Howard. Bring in D. Wade. Bring in Bosch. Begin to cut ties with Rashard. Don't think Nelson is the long term solution to this team. As the running joke in this thread goes -- we need a pass first point guard. The white flag is up. Just put us out of our misery...

Do not give up yet, Magic! Just take it one game at a time. Game 2 could have been ours with a lucky call there or a lucky drop there. It just didn't happen. Our team is equipped to beat this team if we play aggressive all 4 quarters. 1) We need interior help. The lineup of Gortat and Howard together was going well last night, surprised I didn't see more of it in the 4th. 2) Show up or don't play. SVG needs to find a solution to battle Garnett down low instead of relying on Rashard. He has not shown up these last 2 games. Consider playing Bass? 3) Ball movement. Ball movement. Ball movement. Settling for first option and forcing tough shots "expecting a call" ... not gonna happen with crooked refs like these. 4) Play smart and fast. The Celtics are a strong half court team. Transitions must be fast. We must outrun the old legs of this Geriatric team and use our athleticism to beat them in the full court. 5) Do not rely on free throws or refs calls. We must play our style of game. Look for the open three. Make the extra pass. Again, can't emphasize enough -- Ball Movement! Any other observations?

Where is the Rashard Lewis hate train?Ha-Ha
fishybashi replied to God hates Magic fans's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Proved me wrong too. Plus, I think he'll have greater longevity now that he is not as banged up. He even said in an interview -- it's hard to make a difference when you are a 4th or even 5th option at times on offense... Now that it's the playoffs, he is playing with passion and determination. -
Shaq will only try to make Dwight worse, coz he would only want the glory for himself and himself alone. You want Battie back for Gortat? We have a starting caliber center as our back up. End of discussion.

JVG's hate for the Magic is definitley fake
fishybashi replied to Franchero MVP's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
It's a Van Gundy family ploy. All this bad media SVG has concocted to get his team and superstars riled up. It motivates D12 and the rest of the team to go above and beyond to prove their critics wrong. JVG was used to fuel the situation. It's for our good, trust me! -

Jareth, Get some class, man. You cut down my posts and post a similar thought and idea and make it your own coz it has a link. This is old news. Been saying this in previous posts. If you are going to tear up other people's posts, have the decency to not post a similar idea yourself. -
I'm a little frightened of the Bobcats after reading these posts about them, and how the Cavs lost the series to them, etc. Just want to start a post dedicated to answering this question. What are the keys to the Magic beating the Bobcats??? Are they that formidable an opponent??? I know we are ready -- I'm excited, but I really think this is the year we go ALL THE WAY!!!!

Tim Legler and Jon Barry take turns kissing Lebron's ***. I wouldn't be hating on Lebron if he wasn't so rude, arrogant, and everything that the Magic is not. ESPN can miss history happening -- it will be their loss when they look back at these years and realize history is in the making with a player called Dwight Howard.

I'm a little intimidated by the hot Bobcats right now. They are 16-6 since the All Star break, I believe. We are a much stronger offensive team, and we have the defense to boot. I think we will win, but they will not go without a fight. Keys: Rashard and Nelson have to be on. Our 3 ball will have to go in, as they will infiltrate Howard with all their bigs. I say this is a series we go with Bass and Howard down low or utilize the twin towers of Gortat and Howard. We win in 6.

2009 - 2010 Magic will prove to be the best Orlando Magic Team ever. Deepest. Toughest. Complete. Bring on the playoffs.
