    Health Care Passed

This is a good thing. This is to prevent restaurants and the like from making this country as less healthy and obese then it already is. You want trans fat? Cook it in your own kitchen. I think the whole "What's Next?" scenario is a bit overdramatic. People didn't like Civil Rights when they were first passed, and look how that worked out. Things happen. Not a good thing. It's generally never a good thing when a government infringes upon your rights. Eating healthier might be a good thing for you, it might be what you want, but you have the right to make that choice. Sure, you say you can cook with trans fat in your own kitchen, but the right for a proprietor to make that decision for their own restaurant is being taken away. As such, your right to decide between that and a healthier alternative is being impacted. It shouldn't be about what is best for you. We, as a people, should not want a government deciding what is best for usin every aspect of our lives. If restaurants are free to decide on their own wether or not to use trans fats, and we as consumers are free to decide where to eat, then we get what we want by nature of voting with our dollars for the products provided. If people don't want trans fats, they will stop eating in restaurants that rely on them. Those places will be forced to make a decision when they start losing business. I don't understand the rationalizations of people who think that less freedoms are a good thing, as a general rule, so long as those freedoms don't infringe upon the health and abilities of others. You brought up civil rights, I would remind you that racial discrimination infringes on the health and abilities of others. The counter point to that argument is that obesity related health costs are a financial drain on the public at large, not just people who are themselves obese. Now if I may ask, in what way is my neighbor being overweight affecting me? Not being smart, I would really like to hear the arguement.

  5. Honestly Shard looks like a good guy, real down to earth, but at pf he is a liability. He gets pushed around now, wait til he is in the 4th and 5th year of that ridiculous contract. And to think he was suppose to play sf. He cant keep up with the pfs in the league let alone the small forwards.

Official Game Thread: Magic @ Nets - 3/5/10

Its gonna be close, the Magic will most likely overlook the Nets. They should win, but this is a classic Magic trap game.

Guys dont even bother watching this game, I had a Ephifany last night. C-Lee wins the game on a tip in at the buzzer. No point in watching I just spoiled it for all of you. And then something about the world crumbling, I dont know it was pretty fuzzy. But I am positive Lee for the win!!!

LOL Osprey got you update p. 11

Otis should of taken Allen Iverson when he had the chance. AI=win!!!! AI makes meer look like a little puppy. It would be like choosing Jareth over DOM for most intelligent posts.

LOL Osprey got you update p. 11

The only way the team will understand that Jameer is not the answer is to let him keep playing. They will figure it out soon enough though. Meer isnt fit to carry J-wills jock strap. I will make the bold prediction that Nelson wont be in this league in five years. He is nothing but a glorified Steve-o. And if Stan dont open his eyes soon, Nelson will cost him his job. Otis, stan, their jobs depend on how long they are willing to keep this Nelson disaster going. Tyronne Lue is still out thir right? Otis get er done!!!!

This is for the true Magic faithful.

What about the days of Andrew Declerq being our starting center.
  12. "Let's call a fade a fade. The Magic have been playing largely like a lottery team since a 13-4 start and don't deserve to be in the playoff field. GM Otis Smith predicts the Magic will make the postseason, but adds, "That's not what I'm worried about." Hmmmm. I'm not sure whether Smith is overly optimistic or clairvoyant, considering the Magic have fallen out of the playoff race and need to do something they haven't done in months: Put together a run. Smith is a big-picture guy. He's looking more how his team is playing, if they are jelling, whether his young core --- Dwight Howard, Darko Milicic, Trevor Ariza and Jameer Nelson --- are developing or regressing. Smith doesn't think fighting for playoff crumbs as a first-round participant is a big deal when stacked up against getting to where he wants to go: The Finals. OK. But for Magic fans who have been starving for a playoff berth since 1903 -- oops, I mean 2003; it just seems longer --- they'd be satisfied with just an APPEARANCE. Even if it is against the Detroit Pistons. And even if the Pistons would knock them out in, oh, five games. But the way the Magic are playing, they don't look like a playoff team by any stretch of the imagination. Playoff teams don't make countless turnovers, have frequent offensive brown-outs and miss free throws by the bundle. The Magic still need some reconstructive surgery this offseason. Maybe Smith knows, in his heart of hearts, that the Magic aren't a playoff team either. No wonder reaching the postseason isn't exactly a be-all, end-all." I know this is an article but it needed its own topic, he says it all here, Otis is not looking at the playoffs for this year, an that is pissing me off, because what that says is that if we dont make the playoffs, Brian Hill will be here next year because Otis isnt thinking about this year, he wrote this year off last year after he traded Francis...... Do we really trust in Otis, the Future is not Otis, start thinking like a winner....... We are tired of looking into the future, an u constantly telling us that the future will be good is just pissing me off....... Why not today......Who cares if we are eliminated in the playoffs, lets just get there......

    Im sorry

If we are all confessing, I guess I have a confession to make, the reason the Magic aren't winning like last season is due to the fact that I got a night job, and havent been able to watch as much games anymore. I have missed alot of games this season, and without my BELIEVE, the Magic are clearly struggling. I am deeply sorry, and I hope you can all find it in your hearts to forgive me.

    Magic not playoff worthy?

Wow, talk about dredging up the past. It would help to look at the year before we make comments right? Unless I am to believe that my opinion of 2007 holds water in 2010.

Chuck Barclay jumps on cavs wagon =(

So should the Magic forfeit the season because Chuck dont got his money on them? Honestly looking at his gambling record, I am glad he aint picking the Magic. Not the most impressive resume.

Vince has never been good because he's a SHOOT FIRST SHOOTING GUARD. Dwight had 11 FGAs and only 3 assists yesterday. Clearly, he's playing like a SHOOT FIRST CENTER. Bass should play more. So should Anderson. And JJ. And Warlock. And Jwill should play all of Jameer's minutes because he's a PASS FIRST POINT GUARD. SVG sucks. Why don't you shoot yourself first.
