Careful with the namecalling. You're mods are sharks.
  2. angh... the Celtics are too worried about Cleveland to talk Pistons. ...I can't believe Cleveland lost last night after scolding the Celt's so bad in the first half.
  3. quote: Smart, veteran players are generally good at fouling and not getting caught, or acting like they were fouled to the point where a ref has to blow the whistle. Seriously, look at the teams that win the championship year after year and you start to notice that they all have guys that 'take charges' (ie. flop), get fouled (ie. 'scream loudly and throw up their arms like they've been shot if someone is within breathing distance'), and so on. The Pistons were the veteran team doing what they had to do. They were the better team. This time. Our team will get there, eventually. So what you're trying to preach is that, "don't worry everyone, the Magic will get good at flopping?" The Pistons out rebounded, out free-throwed, out second chance shot, and out benched Orlando. That's what the Magic should focus on before they start critiquing their own flopping.

  5. more like... it's the NBA playoffs, not the paraplegic league at the Y.

Yes it there were some bad calls both ways this series, but if you think that the refs respect Rasheed Wallace you are living in a dream world. OMG! This is easily the funniest thing I've read on the site yet! Sheed gets a customary T each game just for walking onto the court.
  7. good lord, it's getting really pathetic guys

    Prince AMAZING BLOCK!!!!!

It's actually amazing how clean of a block it was.
  9. Just get bigger in the offseason, Magic.
  10. LOL! I believe there is one "Guaran-sheed" every playoff year and 'sheed is still do one for this season.
  11. quote: Originally posted by DwightHoward1880:badboys if your pistons had been on the recieving end of bad officiating and in turn it coulda cost them a playoff series and the chance to advance would u still have the same attitude? i serioulsy doubt u'd be saying the same thing that you are now if your teams fortunes were reversed It's all perspective. In game 7 of the 2007 NBA finals, the refs (out of nowhere) decided that they were going to call a "tight" game, meaning they were going to call every penalty they could. Now, did this directly hurt a Pistons team that was at the time build to be rough and tough underneath the basket? Of course. Was this officiating strategy a direct command by the NBA who was scared to death of seeing a booring "grind it out game" on their biggest stage? perhaps. You just can't let that get to you though as a fan. You can't let yourself believe those things. The Pistons should have beat the Spurs in 5, rather than let game 7 happen, and the Orlando Magic should have shot better free-throws, got more second chance scoring opportunities, and turned the ball over less, instead of picking out a couple ref calls that could have gone a better way for them. Is it the refs fault that the Pistons have dominated the Magic in the playoffs for the past few years? Stop blaming the refs!!! The Magic had a great season and gave good effort in the playoffs. That's all I'm going to say on this topic.

    Good series guys

The real irony is that we got Stuckey with the draft pick that Orlando gave us for Darko...
  13. When fans begin to blame refs for lost games a situation goes from sad to just pathetic. If you don't want to lose the game to a bad call, then don't put the refs in the position to be able to do that. Prove you deserve to win by dominating the games you play.

    Good series guys

Judge, I'm not taking anything away from the Pistons. They win a lot of games by close margins and that's one of the biggest differences between good teams any great teams. The Magic just kept giving the ball away. The old lady in the 4th row did not have a Magic jersey on and I swear they passed to her like 5 times. The Magic also wasn't going after offensive rebounds, a shot would go up and they'd be headed back down the court before it left their guys fingertips. That's what I mean when I say they gave a couple games away. They wern't doing the little things that leads to wins.

    No adjustments made against Pistons

My biggest worry the last two games was that the Magic would be physicaly rough on Stuckey. He seemed a little nervous out there - trying to do too much and getting some stupid fouls, making akward passes, his shot selection also wasn't the hottest. If the Magic could have roughed him up I think you would have seen him get in some serious foul trouble, and he would have stopped driving to the hoop (which is his strength). That would have put Lindsay Hunter in the game more - we all love Hunter, but he is like 40 years old and extended minutes would not be good for him. Stuckey got two early fouls last game, then the Magic just ignored him - too bad for you guys.
