Teams calling about JJ (Alex Kennedy) JJ to CHI? Page 5

As far as Carter goes, it just isn't an easy fit chemistry wise. Looking back, which isn't important in a game like basketball, i wish we could have landed Allen with Lewis since they played together in Seattle.. Everyone is always saying how hard it is for Carter and Lewis to mesh and we wouldn't have that problem at all with both of the leagues sharpshooters... Carter is better at being a big fish in a little pond, but in the now, i still think we should keep him and re-sign him for as little as possible when his contract is up, he loves the area, and what's done is done, but i just wish it could have been Allen. Huah JJ Redick!

Maybe we kept jj and Chicago kept Hinrich and posswibly we took Harington and Phoenix kept Stoudemire but... lol Yes This would cause league wide mismatches and chaos and the whole season would change drastically , lol i love it, heres to dreaming and good ideas - and to our chamionship one day hopefully sooner than later... Cheers..!

Well that's true but it's like Nash going one way Amare going the other and Lewis and Carter being dealt it is definitley a fantasy lol.. But a realistic trade between those four teams could definitley be crafted and so each team would benefit as well, i failed at that part lol Phoenix would suck with that lineup.. Go ahead and move everything around but using those four teams , something realistic and helpful could be done for everyone for sure..

I think whatever moves we make it would be fantastic to have Pietrus, Barnes both coming off the bench with the five starters being Howard, Nelson, Lewis, Carter and a forward we would get in whatever deal people are speculating about.. It is hard to say whether to trade gortat or Bass because Gortat fits in so much better into our system at the same time he has openly said he wants out of Orlando due to playing time.. Bass might be able to mesh much better if Gortat was not part of our roster and obviously be more productive and happy with his role with our team. I dont post very much i am always too busy reading about all of these ideas but keep up the good work and hopefully people payed a lot more than most of us are reading these threads as well. I am not smart on the contracts and the salary cap room with our players but i would still like to keep carter.. Sidenote.. I dont believe Redick, Williams, or Barnes will resign with the team in this next offseason but that is completely just my own opinion, the roster is going to change drastically anyway to me..

NBA Live 10 (Orlando Magic game-play)

Just picked up the new Orlando Magic game for Playtstation 3. It really is pretty neat, I am not a real avid video game person and i love it, you can hook it up to the internet and update each players stats and gamep lay from the current day throug the whole season so if Kobe or someone scores 50 points , the next day the anouncer on Live will be like yeah Kobe is lighting it up, scoring 50 the other night... Or, if someone like Redick has been doing really well, his stats and ratings and gameplay go up in the game also... If a bunch of players are hurt, they will be hurt in the game.. If a player like TMAC or Iverson is not havign a great year, they won't have a huge bloated "94" overall, it will be reflected off their usual mediocre stats to maybe a "77" over all.. Each team plays exactly like they do in RL especially on the harder game settings.. The magic light up threes all day long, and nelson amkes his shots only when he is under good D, he is not as good wide open... Here are some of the Magics ratings... Howard 93 Nelson 90 Carter 89 Lewis 87 And I also traded Anderson and a first rounder for Scola and first round pick.. The computer tried getting Pietrus and adding one of the other Rockets but after aobut 10 times if finally went through for just the original 2, lol... The Magic are by far the best 3 point shooting team in the game even on the hardest setting, jameer can make 7-8 threes a game and most other players (including redick) cannot, especially under heavy D. (Toronto is doing unusually well in this game they are 15-0 most teams are like 8-8/4-14/12-4, the Magic are 11-5... Howard is BY FAR the only good Center in this game also, I think gortat is arounda 77 BTW... He is improving a LOT in sim season..Great game, if you have detailed Q's, please let me know

It begs the question, who's gonna be the odd man out?

I kind of get the imfeeling-pression that JWilliams is a "guest player" of sorts who is not considered when making future decisions short term or long term with the roster... I think they are pretending like he isn't even there when considering roster lineups and changes and playing him and letting him make a difference as long as... he's here lol.. Definitley think Gortat will be packaged with someone IMO and it will either be Redick or Barnes.. Here is why, Gortat is an extermely unique circumstance, he is a player who will make an immediate impact on a team as a starter who will probably be one of the top 2 or 3 centers in the league, we have the opportunity potentially to land an extemely nice pick in the draft, or a nice set of back up players for the sake of depth who will not neccesarily require immense numbers of playing time.. I think possibly will be packaged with Redick for a real solid player and a huge draft pick, right now my bet would be Sacramento or definitley a team out west and i don't know why i think that but i can just sense it. I know how much of a difference Barnes makes on the court, in the tmepo, and the sake of D - stuff that doesn't always show up in the box score, it just comes down to Pietrus being a similar player whos playing style demands the same kinds of minutes at the same times and seniority - and committment and happiness he seems to have for Orlando, The teams needs come first, than Pietrus', then Barnes.. That's just how it is, especially when the players are so much alike.

    Lewis at the 3

Isnt it nice to have all of these different options..lol Yes, completely agree why put Lewis at the 3 when we can have Bass / Anderson / Gortat and ofcourse Howard to fill the front line and completely dominate? Anderson can spread the D also and shoot mad 3s... So, i don't understand that argument about spreading the defense, we still would. also, like the other poster stated, whats the difference between having Lewis guard the other 3's vs. having Terk play D on the other 3's? The only thing to me is, i would start Bass not Anderson.. But that's just me, they are pretty much on the same level of raw talent in my opinion, and both seem to be pretty athletic. This is an argument of freeing up minutes for our new players specifically up front.. When someone talks about not liking Lewis at the 3 , are you sure you don't just mean "But lewis's playing time/touches will go down". So what? That's not what matters.

Back to basics with the starting lineup?

See, I understand what you're saying and I agree. Lewis may actually be a true power forward but I still can't help but to think our All Star power forward is an All star who was just way too tall to play gaurd, i think he is definitley better stuied at the 3 ? But that is just me?

Back to basics with the starting lineup?

Well first of all, excited about a new year! And what a fantastic team we have for this up and coming season, i am bias but possibly the most talented Magic team in history all the way down the stack. But why does it appear that when Shard comes back, we will still be using these unconventional lineups? After many self-proclaimed experts have for several years now (3-4) talked about us not having a true power forward up there with Dwight, it would perplex people to no end to keep Shard at the 4... I mean we finally filled that gap - that ONE weakness we've had "longer" than any other weakness, and we actually have two true 4s now , and we're going to keep shard there at the 4? In my opinion, I don't think it has occured to anyone we may actually do this after this long of time of people saying "They need a 4".. We will see but i definitley agree with them.. Howard Bass Lewis Carter Nelson Just an everyday fan but lets try it for once , try using a center at center, a power forward at power forward, a small forward at small forward, etc. Lets take all this talent and go back to basics, not stack the SL based on the talent level, lets have the best talent available at each individual position?? Why not?
