I think this extends a window of contention, not a championship window, but a contention window. Even when Kobe leaves, Shannon Brown will step in and start and I know he's no Kobe, obviously, but he's a solid player. If they can get a good point guard (Fisher doesn't have much left either and I don't think Steve Blake is a starter), that team would look a lot like last year's Oklahoma City if Williams develops well.

That's the rumor. If it's true, I don't see why the Lakers haven't said yes already. That's a great deal for them. With reports out there that Cleveland has decided to take Kyrie Irving, the Lakers would roll into next season with a Williams, Love, Bynum front line with Fisher and Kobe in the back court. That team would instantly become favorites since the Western Conference isn't getting any younger.

Apparently Minnesota is offering Kevin Love and the number 2 pick for Pau Gasol. Whatever's going on in Minnesota can't be healthy.

Uh...yeah...those trades are great and all but Favors doesn't even play for the Nets anymore. He was involved in a deal earlier this year for some scrub named Deron Williams.
