  1. Captain may not want to flat out say this, but since he and I are the same person, I'm going to do it for him/us/me:

Arielle, formerly known as Fishybashi, creeped out a former forum member so badly that she stopped posting here. If creepy, sexual-agressive, internet stalking was a crime, Arielle/Fishy would have been locked away and the key would have been destroyed.

The guy is a complete an utter fail, in the most complete sense of the internet term.

  2. The trade with LA is the only one I've heard that makes any sense. Bynum (and picks) for Dwight, is as fair as we're going to get.

That said? We need to try to keep Dwight AND SVG. Hopefully a good playoff run with Dwight injured will convince Dwight that, despite personality conflicts, SVG really is a good coach. I mean, Phil Jackson and Kobe really didn't get along, but it didn't prevent them winning a championship together.

I've always thought that, if SVG has one problem, it's that he defers to Dwight too much. Too many plays are force-feeding Dwight down low and it leads to turnovers or the other team just fouling Dwight (where, if we're lucky, he hits 50% of them). It slows things down, it allows the opposing defense to collapse, it opens up the three-point shooters. I get it.

    So does everyone else.

Dwight is not an offensive machine like Shaq (or Kareem, or Wilt) were: he's more in line with Bill Russell. I really wish he'd realize that. Bill Russell's numbers?

    15ppg, 22rpg

Of course, Bill could only snag ELEVEN CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS, so why should Dwight try to emulate THAT, right?

I know big scorers get the endorsements and the ESPN highlights. I know Dwight wants to see replays of him dunking on people. Who doesn't? But I think this team would be far more effective if the offensive focus were less Dwight, and I wish Dwight were actually okay with that.

Absolutely. This team is at its best when Dwight and four other players are around 15-18ppg and Dwight is locking down the center. Every game where Dwight puts up 30 usually is a loss or extremely close win.

  3. Does Dwight actually expect his teammates to be good little soldiers for him after the past few months he's repeatedly thrown them under the bus, requested that they be traded, told the media they aren't good enough?

I mean, if I were Jameer, I'd happy coming to work every day knowing Dwight wasn't there. This is a guy who Dwight constantly said he wanted to replace with (fill in the blank).

  4. Just dont feel comfortable having it get out before the playoffs. At the end of the Dwight and them have to talk and clear the air whenever theyre ready, i dont want anymore drama for this team in media before the playoffs lol

You already told us one of them. Its not like anyone in the media is going to use this forum as a source for a story. They'd be fired instantly for 1st degree murder of journalism.

  5. Why would Dwight lie to him, someone who has been there for him, supported him through the rough times and all.

How can Dwight do this to us?

Vanderbeek vid is lame and tired and you're lame and tired for using it.

What ultimately is sad about what you mentioned is that a grown ass man needs support and care from a stranger he met on Twitter.

No offense YaBoy, but there is a deep seated issue regarding Dwight's psyche. Or you are embellishing just how close the two of you really are.

  6. This story won't have any traction in about a week, agreed, but its a nice stepping stone to get juices flowing following his victory lap.

The only way Romney is going to excite the base is if he comes after Obama in a hard, negative way, and really go on the attack during the debates.

The best thing Obama had going for him in 2008 was his lack of record, it meant he had nothing to attack and personal attacks could be construed as racism (which the Obama campaign capitalized on).

Four years later, Obama has a record, and something to attack, fiercely. Its a mixed bad with a lot of unpopular decisions, and the things he's done well aren't really bumper sticker or campaign bed rocks. Outside of Osama and the Iraq pullout (which are big), he's running thin in an election thats going to focus on the economy.

  7. This recent issue with Rosen attacking Ann Romney has given me confidence that Mitt's Campaign can control a narrative. They were quick to hammer this thing in social media and on the talk shows.

Ann Romney is going to be a massive player in the next few months btw.

  8. I can see Florida and Pennsylvania flipping to Romney.

Still, lots of roadblocks for Mitt, however, a few things are working against Obama:

    1. Gas Prices continuing to rise heading into Summer, where they inevitably will rise based on historical trends.

    2. Obamacare being gutted by the Supremes. Its a toss up to what will happen in June, but killing the mandate effectively takes the bite out of the bill, and as a results, cripples Obama's "Keystone" accomplishment.

    3. Republicans are going to hammer him on the Economy, unemployment, and energy. If the Dems and media can continue to successfully shift the argument to Women's Issues and distract people from the real problems the nation faces, then Obama wins easily.
