That is what the media is reporting... that it is the Lakers who hold the tiebreaker, but they have yet to spell out why when they do. I agree with the OP, according to the rules the third tiebreaker is record against OWN conference. As a matter of fact there is nothing on NBA.com that specifies HCA between two teams in the finals, even if you search specifically for it in the event of a tie. Hopefully we can bang out the final two games and it won't matter anyway... Thanks Portland!!!

I think we already did. Boston have 28 losses and we have 23 with 5 games left. We hold the tiebreaker over them with a 3-1 edge in the season series over Boston so......
