  1. Rashard is a great addition to the team. If we could only get a 4. I do not understand why we do not trade turk for a solid 4. It makes no sense to have both him and Lewis. We are going to go from a good rebounding team to one of the worst in the league if we don't get some urgency and make a move for a solid 4. Why does Otis not realize that neither Lewis or Hedo are rebounding type guys that enjoy contact. We need a bruiser that can help Dwight down low. Otis, will you please do the right thing and bring in a solid 4 via trade or free agency
  2. I would love to have Jarret Jack. He is very young and has great potential. He has the ability to be a very good pg in the nba, and as far as Johnson is concerned he would serve as a great backup for Battie. I hope Otis salvages the offseason by making a few more moves and really improving this team to give us a real shot at winning a championship. C'mon Otis, please regain my trust!
  3. Are ya'll really comparing Rashard to KG and Dirk. That is absolutely ridiculous. Look Lewis is a good player but is nowhere near the caliber of player of KG or Dirk. What an absolutely ridiculous post. Remember KG and Dirk are both 1st team NBA type guys and first options on their teams, Rashard might end up being a 3rd team nba guy at best (how great would that be). Rashard is a great addition but nowhere near the player of dirk or kg.
  4. Why in the world would you give Otis Smith all that praise. I'll be honest I was a huge fan of the man before the free agency period began I thought he handled our coaching fiascoe the best anyone could have especially after Donovan punked out. But dont give this guy a free pass. He has repeatedly said he likes our roster the way it is and he feels comfortable with it. The reality is Otis was looking at this thing with blinders on, he knew the guy he wanted and he did what he had to in order to get him even if that meant bidding against himself to get him. And how in the world do you let Darko leave for nothing in return? He could have worked out a sign and trade for Lewis but instead he decided to give seattle a second round pick so he could get this thing done right away. Otis is not a smart business man and obviously doesn't know how to run a franchise. I am absolutely disgusted, it takes me back to our days with John Gabriel.
  5. The more I think about this move the more it makes me sick, and how in the world can Otis Smith stand there and say how happy he is with our roster. YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!!!! I mean let's look at it, I know we are all just fans, but give us a little respect. PG - 1)Jameer Nelson, 2)Carlos Arroyo 3)Diener or Kruger - Not the strongest position on our team but solid enough SG - Keyon Dooling, JJ Redick, Trevor Ariza Keith Bogans- I could not put these guys in any particular order because I dont think anyone really knows who will be the starter - We are unproven to say the least at this position SF - 1)Rashard Lewis 2)Hedo Turkoglu 3)Trevor Ariza - Definitely a strength of our squad, if we do keep Hedo we need to find a way to put both him and rashard on the court at the same time PF - 1)Tony Battie 2)Gortat 3)Augustine - This makes me cringe just thinking about it, Just terrible C - 1)Dwight Howard 2)Battie 3)Gortat - Dwight is a beast but what the heck are we going to put on the floor when he needs a breather or is in foul trouble? Let's not even think about it. So after looking at this lineup how can Mr. Smith honestly say he feels not good but great about our lineup. Makes absolutely no sense to me, please give me some feedback.
  6. I don't want to rain on anyones parade but we most definitely overpaid for Rashard. However, I could not be more happy to have a legitimate scorer on the wing, something we desperately needed. That being said why in the world would we agree to this sign and trade? Wasn't the whole point of the sign and trade to free up money to sign milicic or another free agent? We obviously did not accomplish this and ultimately gave a guy we were already going to get more money and what for? While this acquisition makes us better it definitely does not put us in the upper echelon of the NBA or the eastern conference for that matter. I am happy we were active this off season but my question is at what cost? Please give me your feedback and I encourage you to challenge me, I would like to feel as good about our roster as our GM seems to.

Breaking News ESPNEWS Stan Van Gundy Will Take Magic Job

This is the best hire we could have made. Donovan played us and in my mind should never get another opportunity to coach in the pros, talk about losing your credibility. Back to the present, Stan Van Gundy is a good coach he proved his worth in Miami but was given a raw deal by Riley. Bottom line is the heat were winning before Riley got there, and yes riles did win a championship with the heat but who is to say Van Gundy wouldn't have. I tip my hat to Otis for getting this thing done in a timely matter especially after the circus with Donovan. It is good to have a real GM, I mean can you imagine what Weisbrod what have done if he was still the GM? Let's go Magic!
