Can someone just tell me, or do I need to Google search..? google Donovan, and it will not be able to decide whether to send you to a site or not.

What Donovan did to us still grinds my gears. I mean, yeah it definatley worked out for us in the long run, but still a terrible, yellow belly thing to do by that coward. That is still why I haven't changed my sig... I'm confused. I feel left out. What did Donovan do? Bandwagonner LOCATED. No, I've actually watched Orlando since 01-02, but I skipped a season or so last year (For the most part, until the Playoffs), and the year before, because I was heavily addicted to some stupid video game, and I was doing a lot in school. Maybe I just missed the memo? Just tell me what it is. This deserves it's own thread.

Just wanted to be part of the epic thread. I will be happy if Vince is gone. Anything else is gravy.
  6. When I was a kid, I went to a clinic which included a talk by Jerry Lucas, while he was still at Ohio State. It was free. For you youngsters, Google it.
  7. I imagine that the $20 parking garages for Magic games will be scarfed up pretty quick by long time magic season ticket holders. The convenience of arriving close to game time is worth it. There are plenty of other cheaper spots available if you are able to walk a bit. I don't see myself doing the Church Street bar crawl very often, either before or after games. My biggest concern is how the traffic will flow into and out of the Amway Center area. I can envision some real jam ups before and after games, with people trying to find, or get out of spots. Hopefully it will be better than the Arena, but who knows.

Hey OMMB fam I'm moving and I need some advice

Check out AMTRAK to Seattle. It would be an incredible trip, from a visual standpoint, and they have some pretty good luggage handling options. She could come to Seattle and meet you.

Why Dont People Give The Tmac Idea a Chance???

I watched T-MAC here when he was fun to watch. We needed that because the team sucked. But I don't know of anyone that T-MAC made better. The only reason I liked watching him was because on occasion he could, single- handed, defeat an opponent. Two things are very different now. First, he can't do it anymore. He is slower, easier to defend, and doesn't strike fear in opponents. Second, I don't want a player who doesn't put the team first. We don't owe him anything, especially a first trip to the second round. Frankly, Carter is similar in many ways. He has never made his team mates better, and he is getting too slow to be a human highlight reel. As far as I am concerned, we would be better off without either of them.

We have the BEST FANS! but sometimes....

A lot of us old asses have been in our seats backing the team for a lot of years, including the bad years, when a lot of the bandwagon fans on here now were still playing with their Hot Wheels.

We have the BEST FANS! but sometimes....

Chase, I guess the guy behind me must be a really bad fan. He is at every game and he leaves early at almost every night game, including last night. And has been doing it for years. At least for five years of the 20 years that I have had season tickets. What kind of a fan would leave early just so he could open his shop at 4 in the morning? What kind of fan would drive 25 miles each way knowing that he is going to have to leave before the issue is decided? That is just plain disgusting. Perhaps the Magic should do a mental evaluation of season ticket holders to eliminate people like him. We don't want to have people there who are dedicated to their work or want to make sure their kids don't sleep through their morning classes. As for me, I am now a retired old guy who has the luxury of sleeping in every day. But my wife has to be up at 5:30 to go to work. I asked her if she wanted to go when the game was assured, a few minutes before the end of the game. She said she wanted to stay, so we did. But I would have had no shame if she had said she wanted to go because she wanted to beat the traffic in this game while we were blowing the Celtics out. Doing that can provide and additional 30 minutes of sleep. And you, my friend, have the right to question the loyalty, love of the game, etc. of other fans because we live in America, and you have the right to be a POMPOUS ANAL ORIFICE if you wish. If staying to the end of the game to cheer the winners is your is your thing, then do so. I am guessing that you also stay to the end in the games when we lose by a bunch, so you can cheer the guys, saying "That's okay. I still love you." So my advice to you, be the best fan you can, but don't make a post asserting that you are somehow better fan than someone else simply because they don't follow YOUR rules.

Possible name change for the Nets?

Brooklyn Bums. (May be too similar to Brooklyn Lebrons)

Crowd going home in 3rd Quarter

I just happen to be one of those old people. I had to leave the game in the middle of the 3rd quarter the other night because I forgot my Depends. What a bunch of crap. I am not sure how loud it gets because I don't hear so good nowadays, since my wife has been yelling at me for 40 years. I don't understand why the Magic don't play Darryl Armstrong much any more. Coach Goukas never gets it right, though I do like his new mustache. I miss those hot babes from the Villages. All you seem to see at the games is little girls like that singer and those shameless dancing girls. Oops, gotta go. My nurse is bringing my wheat germ. I will sure be glad when they get a big screen TV here at the home. And I really hope the Magic keep winning, because I want to watch them play the Yankees in the Finals.

Crowd going home in 3rd Quarter

I must be one of those terrible fans, because I left with about 9 minutes left. It was probably the 20th time I have left a game that early, out of at least 600 games I have attended. That includes the bad years. I suck as a fan. It is a good thing that I left early. As I was walking out the ushers diverted me to about 6 pallats full of Magic Flags for cars. My guess is that they were all gone by the time the "real" fans left. Talk about the anti-Karma.

    Doc Rivers

Uh. Let me think real hard. That's enough. NO WAY.
  17. quote: Originally posted by LeBrickJames: quote: And I don't think the NBA has anything against the Magic (which completely kills your ridiculous theory), they just want to see Cavs/LBJ in the finals. Yeah but I think the refs have something against us. Come on, Dwight leads the league in technical fouls. I am sure that they hate him by now. In my view, Dwight has earned every technical foul and more. He stares down the ref, holds the ball for way to long, and then does something stupid in protest. His actions are disrespectful to the officials and also immature. This whole Dwight technical conspiracy issue is a non-starter. He deserved the ones he has gotten. Now if you want to say that the refs let other players like Kobe and LeBron get away with things, that is a different argument. That is a case of not calling techs on them when they deserve it.
  18. quote: Originally posted by OrlandoMagicFan:Its sad how anytime I hear a topic on Tmac, everybody just talks **** and hates on him. Bet you that 90% of those people didnt even watch him play when he was with us. They just know the Tmac that suffered from injuries. Ok, I watched him live for all of the time he was here. I NEVER considered him anything but a great individual player that couldn't care less for the rest of the team. Sure it was fun watching him post 62 and a lot of other high scores, but those were on teams that had players with potential who were stifled by TMac's style of play (read selfishness). And I can't name a single player whose game was positively influenced by his time here. Barkley said it best when he said that no "All Star" would ever let his team lose 19 games in a row. No thanks. We don't owe TMac a trip to the second round, even on our bench.

First Game Tickets - Lower Bowl

I have be out of town on a family issue the day the first playoff game will be played. I may even miss the second one depending on the date. I have 2 good lower bowl seats (Sect 105, Row P) available for the first playoff game for sure, with dibs to the buyer on the second game at the same price, if I am going to miss it. The tickets include paid parking in Lot #1. If you are interested, PM me with an offer. I will decide by the end of the week.

  21. Hmmm. Playoff or most lottery balls. Can you see the Nets and Wizards in the first play- in game. Nets lose 2 - 0 when a Wizard player accidentally makes a basket during an attempt to throw the ball out of bounds.

    RICK'S RANT OWNS LEBRON!

Lots of players are full of themselves. But if you are gonna emulate ALI and act like you are the greatest, you should at least have a knock out punch. People thought Ali was a loudmouth wannabee until he beat the champ. Jordan had every right to be arrogant, because he earned it through championships. Until LeBron wins a championship he is just one more flash-in-the-pan, Like some other great individual players including Malone, Barkley, Ewing, Wilkins, Stockton, Miller, Baylor, Maravich, Dantley, and Bernard King. Sure he will be remembered, but true greatness is measured in rings on a great player. Until he wins, let's leave the third person crap behind.

    Did Orlando overpay for players?(ESPN)

We have had season tickets for 20 years, and have attended through thick and thin. For us, it is a date night. We both love the game and have chosen this, instead of cruises, trips, fancy cars, etc. Our tickets went from $34 to $47 per game for a similar seat. We can't afford it, but will stay with the team for the first year in the new Center. Then we will probably try to split the tickets with someone, and maybe use the excess for a huge new entertainment system, so we can watch better at home. I assume that if there is a lockout, we will get a refund for unplayed games. That may be hard on the Magic and city, but could ease our pocketbook. And after yesterday's Olympic game, I might just take an interest in hockey while the lockout is going on. I am not gonna worry about it too much, though. The Magic have FOYLE working to come up with a solution. I hope he is as good as Garrity was.
