    Hire Iavaroni petition thread!

Otis, Marc is your man. Anybody who can make Steven Hunter look good mnust be a genious. Taking into consideration that he played with a talented center, Moses Malone, whose ability was very simular to Dwight's, could help give Dwight the insight to become the dominant center of his era. Finally Otis, in honor of my Sicilian ancestry. I'm a gonna make you an offer you can't refuse! Big Al
  2. The Magic could find a simular player to Rashard, for much less money, by getting Jason Kapono. lol
  3. WOW, I don't know about you but I'd love to go after Kobe.........with a nine iron!
  4. If the Bobcats use their #8 pick to select Jeff Green in this draft, it could indicate that they aren't willing to go on a spending spree to keep Gerald Wallace.

    trade for 3rd pick?

The Hawks feel that Zaza is better than Darko so it's doubtful they'd bite. The Bulls on the other hand might. They could offer the 9th pick and Nocioni for Darko. The next question would be who do you replace Darko with?

    Free Agency Thread

I'd rather try to trade Hedo, a 2nd round pick and Fran's rights to Memphis for Mike Miller and keep Battie. There would still be cap space available to persue Gerald Wallace.
  7. Another name that should be thrown in is Brian Shaw. I've read a lot of good things about him in L A this year, Otis should give him an interview at the very least.
  8. Grandpa pizzed his pants today and he don't give a d@mn. He read Brian Hill had just been fired and it sure has made him glad!

Your the GM -- Pick Your coach!

Bill Laimbeer hands down! The V G's are quitters, Ivaroni is unproven, Carlisle seems to have a personality disorder and I think Donovan should stay in Gainsville. Adelman would've been nice but he appears to be out of the equation now. The thought of Darko playing the high post like Laimbeer and Dwight being thew new and improved Rick Mahorn is very appealing.

While searching e-bay for a new coach, Yao is stunned to find the closing bid for Brian Hill is only tree-fitty !
  11. Very true Marc, Artest isn't worth thr grief. But Ricky Bucketts is a flat out shooter that might be .
  12. LGM, This years draft is not a typical one. I can't remember one being this talent laden in the later first round, and I'm 54! Seriously, there are a good number of players that might be available at the 21st pick that would be nice to have. Javaris Crittenton Rodney Stuckey Aaron Afflalo Morris Almond Alondo Tucker Josh McRoberts Aaron Gray Marco Belinelli Marcus Williams As to my choice for the Magic, Crittenton would be at the top.
  13. Christopher, I think you should see a G.I. doctor and ask about Crohn's, it really sounds like you may have it. Good luck.
  14. Sorry to hear you're not well Christopher, my wife has Crohn's Disease and I know you must be suffering, her symptoms are simular to yours. A few years ago I had a mystery illness where I'd get a fever every weekend, it got to the point where I'd be almost catatonic. It lasted for 11 months and the Doctors I saw couldn't figure out what was causing it. I did some research and the only explanation I could think of was fish toxin from some grouper I ate.

    Javaris Crittenton

I watched Javaris play 5 times this season and he impressed the #ell out of me. Compairing him to Reece Gaines would be like compairing Dwight to Felton Spencer! The former Magic ploayer who Javaris most reminds me of is Penny Hardaway.
  16. I've been mulling this idea for a few days, tell me what you think. The Magic offer Garitty, our 2008 first round pick and 2007 second for Nazr Mohammed and our 2007 first back. Detroit wants to unload Nazr's contract for cap space to resign Billups, the player they can least afford to lose. Pat's expiring contract might be appealing to them. We could then package Nazr in a sign and trade for Vince/Gerald/Rashard. He would be more desireable than Pat in a trade. With our first pick we then select Javaris Crittenton, this gives us the big point guard for the future. The end result would give us an answer to to our biggest needs this off season.

Detroit will be paying a tax of approx, 15 million which the owner might not care for. The luxury tax isn't set at the same level as the CAP, so it'd likely be less than 15 million. For it to be 15 million, their salary would likely have to be in the neighborhood of 83 million next season(depending on where the CAP and tax level are set). Assuming a 75 million dollar salary, and that the tax level rises the same amount it did last year, they'd only be at about a 7 million dollar tax, not 15. You're right Drunk, I realized that after I posted, sorry. But an additional question is will Detroit also try to resign Webber and at what price? I just thought that since they were willing to trade Darko and Carlos to clear space to try and resign Ben Wallace that they might be willing to make this trade, plus I'd love to get Crittenton.

  19. Emory, I have to disagree with you. Detroit's salary stats show them at 57 million for next year with Billups at 6.8 million if he hadn't opted out. If he signs a max deal for 16 million and they sign 2 first round picks along with resigning Amir Johnson they'll be looking at a salary structure at well over 70 million.

  21. I sincerely hope the Magic stay in O'town and get their new arena. But, if they have to move I hope they chose Tampa.

After all, we need a scorer who could dominate games not another role player. i would trade jameer for an old pair of adidas shoes. as for pavlovic you need to watch some of his games then you can talk about him. I have to agree Eagle, Pavlovic has the complete package you'd want in a wing player. I don't think the Cavs will let him go.

    Vecey says Hill is gone....

Watching Vescey speak on tv is like looking at a hairy @$$ with a spastic sphincter.
  24. quote: Originally posted by Marc Acres 3:16:Bhnole kinda touched on this, it's tough to tell whether Jameer can work out because we haven't seen him in a system that suits his talents (or any of our PG's for that matter). We have seen a ton of undersized PG's in the league, and from what I have seen they seem to work really well as 6th men because they provide energy and push the tempo. I would like to use him like the Kings used to use Bobby Jackson or NY uses(Spontaneous) Nate Robinson. I don't want to go on the search for the "Big" PG again, I have enough Reece Gaines and Jeryl Sasser highlights to last a lifetime. Marc, I totally agree with the bobby Jackson compairison, Jameer is an offensive weapon that would be very effective coming off the bench.

    Brendan Haywood

I'd rather have Gortat, he wouldn't eat up our salary cap and he doesn't appear to be a cry baby, like Haywood.
