Considering it was the first game played together and all they had was a walkthrough, I thought we looked pretty good. We obviously need to get better but a couple weeks together will bring that. A win this week against one of these tough teams could be huge for this teams' confidence going forward. Some positives I took away was turks' passing, our defensive quickness (although we did collapse to quick on occasion), and our ability to run the floor. Negatives include Malik Allen, rebounding, and shooting (should get better.)

We look sloppy and aren't shooting the ball well. Whether the shooting is related to chemistry is yet to be seen, but this team shows flashes of being very good. The refs haven't helped either.

So many of those trades were bad, the answer was easy for me. Alston helped get us to the finals so he has to get the vote.

I really like a second squad of Arenas, JJ, QRich, Anderson, and hopefully a new big. Arenas can create with the ball in his hands most of the possessions, but he still has plenty of shooters to kick out too. The only thing I worry about is Arenas trying to take to much control to the detriment of the team.

True but it still would only apply to him as a Magic player. That was my point, I know I wasn't very clear with my meaning.

I'm all for Agent Uno. I don't want to use the same nickname the Wiz fans created. I feel like this should be an Orlando fan thing.

I like that we're getting rid of Carter and Lewis' contracts, but by doing that we've added longer term contracts in Hedo and Arenas. I don't know how I feel. This could go well or could be a complete bust if Jrich leaves after this year.

Lots of time left on Turk AND Arenas. That worries me with Turks' age and Arenas' injury history.

I lol'd. The worst part is that we don't play for a few days so I have to read this "doom and gloom" crap til our next game.

Do we really care what any of the analyst have to say? We rarely get any positive pub even when we're winning. I'd rather have all of them write us off and then we can prove them wrong like we did in 08-09. For the past 2 weeks, we've had inconsistent lineups due to the stomach virus and other bang ups. Yet, we hit a losing streak when contributing players are out and now we're not contenders. Just another typical sports analyst looking for something to write about. Look at the lineup from 08-09 and tell me you thought we were a finals team: Alston, Lee, Turk, Shard, D12. We made it because the team meshed and played good basketball. This team can do the same thing and it has more raw talent.

The highest drinks I've seen were in Vegas, but that was expected. Back to the Amway prices. If you decide to eat at the stadium, you should expect it. There are plenty of restaurants in the area you can eat at before the game. Or if you're that concerned at prices, you could go to a bar, eat, and drink for less than a ticket, drinks, and food. What's everyone's restaurant they like to go to before the games? I used to go to the cantina at wall street before the games at the old arena. They always had specials on game nights and it usually had a pretty good crowd. The one game I went to this year, we went to Cleo's for drinks only though.

I'm not so sure. If Vince is playing and he plays anything like he has so far this season, I could definitely see us winning both games. Especially with Howard averaging over 20 ppg. Maybe it's just my optimistic side coming out though.

We normally destroy the Hawks with very little effort but no VC and Meer might make this tough. If this turns into a blowout in our favor (which I don't think it will) it will be because Howard just goes complete beast mode for 35 min. I'm thinking this is closer than normal. 98-91 Magic win.

Like others have said, the TNT announcers brushed it off because it was a blowout. Me personally, I would have gone to the bar in the 4th when there was about 8-10 minutes of garbage time. But then again, I'm never in bottom 15 rows so you wouldn't notice me being gone. I picked up on this little tidbit. The announced attendance was 18,918. I thought capacity was 18,500?

Yeah, there was one point where he had equaled their total. I think it was when they had 17pts, the announcers mentioned it.

I had the same question. Is CSN Chicago a tv station or just a radio broadcast. If it is a tv station, we should be able to find a feed for it. Otherwise we're SOL just like the last game.

Lol!! And once again this thread goes so far off topic I have no idea what to say. Btw, after looking at that trade from the Portland board a little closer, I call BS. The only team that benefits from that trade is Portland. It reminds me of some of the Iggy/Granger trade ideas on this board.
