I know im going to be critiziced for this comment, but if jameer doesn't grow into the point guard we expect him to be, id prefer to start the second half of the season with courtney at point guard, with turk playing point forward. I truly think that he could do the job at point guard and turk taking all responsibilities at distributing the ball. with lee in the line up, we have a great shooter and slasher, and a good defender. We already have our scorers in lewis, turk and dwight. With lee and pietrus we have a great defensive back court. We can use jameer as our scorer in our second unit. I also hope we can bring javaris in some way, with him we could have more flexibility in our backcourt. For all this we have to make an extension on turks contract. GO MAGIC!!!

whos comparing lee to malone. since everybody is fighting over not drafting a big, im just saying that we wont get a player like malone at 22. only 2 players on draft night cut help right away at pf,the others are proyects. go magic.

guys, were drowning in a cup of water. after the 13th pick who was brandon rush, every other player were projects, not players who were gonna contribute the way that we need, maybe with the exception of courtney lee. guys , our pick was at 22, we cant expect to get a karl malone or a horace grant at that pick. plus we cant rely on a rookie to take us over the top at that position. were gonna have to adjust to the idea, that we're not going to improve to much, thanks to our GM, and the little money we have to improve our team, unless we trade hedo and fillers for a good pf. its just my opinion. GO MAGIC!

great info ball junkie,that was very impressive what you posted.there may be other players that can take us to that next level, but these were the ones that came to my mind. but no one in my opinion can do abetter job defensively than artest. there are many people that are afraid of signing him, but watching is behavior this year has made me reconsider him. i know that with players like howard, lewis,nelson, and svg, artest will be surrounded by guys that will do him good, to keep behaving himself and reach his goal(championship). BJ, in your first post u said that we needed defense more than offense, referring yourself to maggette. great point. but dont forget that artest is a 18-20 ppg player also. i hope that people that talk bout artests baggage, can look ahead to the future. DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!!! i know there are some other defensive minded players that we can pursue, but i dont have much knowledge towards them, and how we can acquire with our limited salary. like u said before, i hope that the orlando magic management can take a serious look of what u just posted, an offensive team is fun to watch(look at phoinex) but if we want to win a championship we need defensive minded players, not more shooters that are one dimensional. it has been clear that defense wins championships. you look at houston, chicago, detoit,spurs,etc... we have the center piece, if we can acquire artest, duhon. and kurt thomas and resign doolingwe should have a more than capable defensive team with those pieces acquired. we wouldn't keep having the same problems with bigger guards, the kobe's, the wades,et..and not giving easy baskets to mediocre big man on other teams. imagine a defensive line up looking like this howard/thomas/lewis/artest/duhon or dooling with this line up we can potentialy shut down every position on the opposing team. and even though its a defensive line up we still have a lot of offense to go with it. plus i think cdr can become an even better defender with artest teaching him through his rookie year. what do u guys think? any opinions. JUST 11 DAYS FOR THE DRAFT, AND 16 DAYS FOR FREE AGENCY, CANT WAIT! P.S HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
