Chuck Barclay jumps on cavs wagon =(

Also these bad habits of not putting teams away do not go away. It is what it is. I can not even watch a whole game. I yearn for a team that lays it all out all of the time. Don't like what I see from this bunch. /cry Why cry? Get over it, it's a game. They get paid millions and take off half the time. Why would I spend endless hours watching them? Come playoff time it's different but that doesn't change the fact that this team will not win it all. We look great when shots are falling. Other than that this is a very low IQ basketball team that makes too many turnovers and shoots way too many 3's as they are no longer falling consistently. FAIL, I wish that the message board could test the IQ of the posters, because it would block your posts. Same crap as all the haters desguised as Magic fans, Magic suck blah blah blah, low IQ blah blah blah, Jameer shoot first blah blah blah, too many threes blah blah blah, team will not win it all blah blah blah...There is a Cavs Message Board waiting for you. See my previous post as an example of a well thought out post that actually has some substance rather than the dribble many like you put out.

I guess I'll be able to get more stuff done around the house, because the NBA season is over and all. Do you know how many times the Magic and Cavs have played each other with both teams healthy? Once. Do you know how many times the Magic and Cavs have played each other with both teams healthy and playoff rosters in tact? Once. Do you know who won that game even with the refs trying to cause a different outcome? Magic. Don't kill the messenger. I wanted Magic to win it all too. The Cavs GM made some brillant moves and added players that make their better. Jamison solved their mismatch problem with Lewis. Then why did the Cavs lose?! I do not think Magic would be swept by the Cavs, just do not think we will 7 games against them. Probably because Mo Williams was recovering from his injury. Jamieson getting used to this team. If I remember correctly, you are always posting in every game thread that Magic will lose. I hope we play the Cavs again, because I'm gonna make the best Crow you've ever tasted and enjoy watching you eat every last crumb when we kick their butts!!! Cavs way overrated!!! Here is why we will beat them: 1. Shaq is old and despite putting up great numbers in the last game, not only did we win but that was ONE game. Hello, did you hear me, ONE game. Now multiply that by at least 5-7 games. You really think he's going to put up those numbers. Now take a healthy young Dwight, the freak will put up a double double for 7 games if he has to. 2. Jamison; upgrade yes, not as big as every Lebron slurper thinks it is. Lewis easily blew by Jamison during the game. Sure he has to get more comfortable, yes Jamison is an upgrade but he's not a FREAKIN star player!!! 3. Lebron has to play 45+ min and control the ball to beat us in a 7 games series. We were all WITNESSES (get it?) that the fool needed an IV and couldn't even walk off the court. He can't handle that type of energy for 5-7 games. 4. Someone else said it earlier, Moon and Parker are not upgrades. 5. Z, yes brings D12 out of the low post but trust me that Z will not be taking the majority of the shots, is not the go to guy and is no match up on the defensive end for D12. 6. Mo Williams; Just like the CAVS, good during the regular season, but will CHOKE again against the Magic if we meet up with them. He seemed real human during the ECF!!! 7. Last but not least, WE HAVE THE BEAST OF THE EAST!!!! He's been putting up crazy numbers since the Allstar break. Hello!!! people the team is now clicking, we will continue on the same path to the Finals. Lets stand up and cheer!!! GOOOOOOOOOOOOO MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worst article re: Dwight in recent memory...

LOL, I like this long quote (sarcasm). He should have a permanent daily feeding of Crow, cause man he just keeps eating it every time he writes about the Magic!!! "That's a significant problem with Orlando. The Magic just don't play very smart and against some of the Eastern Conference powers like Boston, one of the wiser teams in all of sports, Orlando doesn't stand a chance unless it increases its game IQ. It doesn't matter if the Celtics have Kevin Garnett or not. It doesn't matter if Boston is tired or not. The Magic don't have the Celtics' smarts, Chicago's athleticism or Cleveland's explosiveness. The Magic aren't a good bet to reach the Eastern Conference finals and if by some sort of weird stroke of luck they do (weird as in the universe immediately begins to collapse upon itself) the Cavaliers would destroy them."

Actually this troll gets 3.5/10 in my grading system. 3 points for managing to put stupid in a paragraph and 1/2 a point for dumb. Now had he put 4 stupids in the post, he would have earned an 8/10! 4 stupids earn you double the points since it's Double Day Saturday. Maybe next time!

    Fran Vasques has no heart!

Your right, I think that's what he would score on my NBA Live 2K10 if his character were available.

Reason why Bass doesn't play (R. Bucher, ESPN)

ESPN FAIL! This is a clear example of weak journalism. Only those of us who follow the Magic closer than the boso who wrote that know this isn't true. Bass isn't getting minutes because when he's out there with D12 the floor isn't spread and defenders can double D12. He has a mid-range jumper that helps but just like Gortat and Howard on the floor together is situational, Bass's play is also situational. Bass problem isn't his game, his problem is that the Magic are 2 **** deep and like to have 4 shooters/scorers around D12 at all times. Also, now that we've had success with the twin towers against Boston I'm sure a lineup of D12 with Gortat would be used before D12 and Bass. What do you guys think?
  8. You noticed we've been winning with JJ in the 4th and Vince on the Bench. Now that JJ has shown up, can you imagine if even part of the old Vinsanity shows up. New JJ + 75% of old Vinsanity + rest of roster = Championship.
  9. quote: Originally posted by Danny Weisbard:I really don't know why he is not being considered for Most Improved player. Even as a huge Duke fan and Redick fan, I will admit he was a waste of a First Round Draft Pick, but this is the year he is turning it around and I think very soon he has the chance to be an All Star. Tonight is evident that Redick not Carter should have the ball in his hands at the end of the game. Not only can he create for himself, he can also create for others, something Hedo was great at and something we really miss. Actually, my friend go look at that years draft class. Not much after JJ except for like 2 players, but most were busts. I say Magic actually did pretty well for their future. Otis is Psychic!!!
  10. quote: Originally posted by EnFuego:Soul Bro, I can't speak too well of next year's draft because I am not as familiar with the talent. However, if the 2005 draft was redone today, I think he would be a late lottery pick. Here's how I would have it. Original Pick 4 Chris Paul New Orleans Hornets 3 Deron Williams Utah Jazz 17 Danny Granger Indiana Pacers 10 Andrew Bynum Los Angeles Lakers 30 David Lee New York Knicks 5 Raymond Felton Charlotte Bobcats 1 Andrew Bogut Milwaukee Bucks 2 Marvin Williams Atlanta Hawks 7 Charlie Villanueva Toronto Raptors 8 Channing Frye New York Knicks 21 Nate Robinson Phoenix Suns 57 Marcin Gortat Phoenix Suns 33 Brandon Bass New Orleans Hornets 6 Martell Webster Portland Trail Blazers 26 Jason Maxiell Detroit Pistons 49 Andray Blatche Washington Wizards En Fuego, I actually would rank the following big men in the following order. Who ever goes above, below or in between them depends on the team and their needs etc. But I would argue (numbers do not reflect exact order of choice in the draft only who would go first etc): 1. Gortat - (Would be a monster next to Gasol right now) 2. Bynum 3. Bogut

We really do need to start J.J

quote: Originally posted by EnFuego: quote: Originally posted by bravlady:I do have to admit that JJ has not quite perfected the lob into Dwight but give him a little more time and he'll get it right. What impressed me the most about JJ was that after that turn over, he still had the confidence to take that three point shot at such a crucial time. Balls. You need them to be a finisher. And although we may debate if he will become a starter, he's clearly becoming a finisher, and that matters most. I personally did not see this coming. Nicely said En Fuego, man you are En Fuego. I agree, I'm pleasantly surprised by his play. After looking at the draft class of the 2006 draft, we definately could have gotten worse. His cojones are getting bigger and that's important because we will need him to take and make big shots like that more often. I like the idea of JJ coming off the bench but playing starter minutes like Ben Gordon or Lamar Odom. This has worked well for the other teams and most likely would work well for us to. And having extensive minutes will assure that he gets his groove on!

Hate him or love him back up your crap with some Knowledge, stats...SOMETHING!!! I'm not a JJ lover but I've been pulling for the guy since he came into the league. It was a blessing in disguise that his shot wasn't falling initially because it allowed him to improve in other basketball skills that he didn't hone in college because he was such a good shooter. STOP with the "his defense sucks." I'm gonna shoot myself if I hear that one more time!!! Yes Tony Allen scored only 5 points, yes he didn't guard Ray Allen all night so stop posting crap. Someone said something about him being posted up. Dude not every player has every skill. We had Ariza before he developed his shot and could guard Kobe etc. but he couldn't shoot a lick and therefore couldn't spread the floor. Every situation is different and different situations call for different players strengths. Stop hating on the guy cuz he isn't everything a "perfect" SG would be. Hello, how many players like Kobe and Lebron are there!?!? I can count them on one hand. So to summarize **** or write something that's worth reading and has some logic to it. Nough said, I'm out!!!

    THE TWIN TOWERS

quote: Originally posted by Osprey23: quote: Originally posted by VaBchMagicFan:The lineup worked well tonight for that stretch but SVG has used it numerous times and it has been awful, maybe Gortat will actually have some trade value. It was more the complimentary players to the twin towers that made the lineup successful tonight. Never before had we run a lineup of Howard Gortat Lewis Redick Williams Those guys all covered up the other weaknesses and all their strengths complemented each other perfectly. Amen Osprey! This Twin Tower has not been effective in the past, I think, because they haven't had a chance to play this rotation often enough. Just like a team needs to learn to play together when you add or take away pieces, they have to learn to mesh well when both bigs are on the floor. Tonight seems like the coronation of the relationship of the bigs. I'm not gonna get too excited but it really seemed to come together tonight. There was one play where Gortat got a piece of a Boston layup and Howard finished with a BLOCK! This lineup will work well with a team that scores most of its points in the paint or likes to drive the lane. If you noticed when they were on the floor the opposing player had to worry about being blocked by both bigs when they drove the lane. If Howard was out of the play Gortat was there and vice versa. If you're an opposing player your gonna think twice before coming into the lane and be forced to take more threes or outside shots which will work well for the Magic if that is not the strength of the team they are playing. I think the twin towers will work best with physical teams. For better shooting teams we go back to Lewis at the 4 and D12 goes to the 5. Even if we don't see much of the TWIN TOWERS we know what to use against Boston and I think this lineup would work well against the Lakers to. I think SVG needs to play this rotation more so they can be more comfortable when it is used and therefore be more effectice. ****, GO MAGIC...Magic...magic!
  14. He finally got his swagger back and now he has improved skills that he didn't have in college. Lock him UP!!!
  15. After what I saw in the 4th quarter tonight, lock him up fool!!!
