Ref, Timekeeper, NBA Conspiracy Thread (merged)
Chief Osceola replied to A BETTER DJ's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
very interesting indeed.. I try not to buy in to all the conspiracies.. The refs could've easily called a foul on that last possession.. I would've flipped out, but if they were trying to make Boston win this game they had every opportunity to.. still is interesting, the ref does clearly put his hand to his hip as the clock freezes and takes it away when it starts going again -
The Celtics will let Redick try to beat them all day

He's been one of the most disappointing "superstars" ever in this series. -

Rashard actually does this a lot, don't think just because you've watched two games of Magic basketball you know us better than we know ourselves. One could also argue that he's not necessarily cold, as in he hasn't taken enough shots to be considered cold, I'd lean more toward very very very passive on offense..

Howard will not be suspended
Chief Osceola replied to Noonskadoodle17's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
The fact that it even had to be reviewed for a possible suspension is laughable. It was a legitimate, hard playoff foul, and I thought even a flagrant was questionable, not out of the realm of possibility, but questionable. This league has become so soft. -
Fun fact... In the 2010 postseason the Orlando Magic are 4 - 0 on the road and in the 2010 season the Orlando Magic are currently 2 - 0 in Boston... I'm not saying we'll win it, but this series is far from over

what is the thing that we had last year and we do not have this year?

We came back but what happen? Magic Johnson also said that Lebron James would win the title this year and welcomed him in to the "elite brotherhood". The guy doesn't know a **** thing and is often wearing his purple and gold colored glasses.

Official Game Thread: Magic vs. Leprechauns ECF GM1 5/16
Chief Osceola replied to Ryan the Magic Fan's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
2 things... JJ Redick starting 2 guard for the rest of the series.. VC at the 3.. no one guards Ray Ray like he does... and if the refs didn't give Pierce 3 free throws when it shoulda been a out of bounds foul, we'd be down 2 -

Chief Osceola replied to Ryan the Magic Fan's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Anybody get the feeling we're taking Boston's best shot of the series tonight? This is better than they looked all Cavs series. I doubt they can string together 6 more games at this level.. On our end.. We look bad tonight. Dwight's still too mentally small for the Celtics.. It's why I wanted Cleveland in the ECF -

I will say I was a lot more pessimistic at halftime of the ECF game 1 last year.. Down by 17 in Cleveland after Mo Williams just made an 80 footer.. We got this! We just gotta knock in that first 3 in the floodgates will open -

quote: Originally posted by EnFuego: quote: Originally posted by the notorious S.A.C.:You forgot to mention a fact about Orlando's favorite guy...Shaq. Wouldnt everyone just love to see Shaq searching for a new team after he failed to "bring the king a ring". Shaq could have retired as the greatest Magic player ever but left the little old pond and now the guy doesn't have a home. He looks like a fat lost puppy looking for a friend. Im sorry just to see Shaq be lost (again) would be sweet revenge for our club even if we dont have Shaq's rings. As much as I would like Shaq's post-Magic career to be one filled with regret, this is simply not the case. Dude won 4 rings with the LA Lakers, and then another with the South Beach Heat. I think the "greatest Magic player ever" thing would make him laugh. Shaq's a HOF with five rings, helping a team get to the ECSF at his age. He's fine. I agree with your post with the fact that we regret Shaq a whole lot more than he regrets us, but he's only got 4 rings and in my opinion helping a team reach the ECSF when said team was 5 wins better without you last year and all they had to do was get by the 8 seeded Bulls last round isn't a big deal at all. Shaq makes the Cavs worse, not better. If he would've played in the last couple months of the season my opinion would change, but teams have to get used to playing around a big man that demands so much attention and clogs up so much of the lane. -

I'm very worried about Boston. Kendrick Perkins and Rasheed Wallace are the best two bigs in the league at defending Dwight and they're both on the same team. The Celtics will not be a cakewalk. At this point I'd almost rather the Cavs comeback and win 2 against Boston, which is very likely in my opinion.

I hope tonight's game is close so threads like these don't happen in the middle of the **** playoffs anymore...

There is another NBA center that better than D12?
Chief Osceola replied to smac's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Okay, after a little bit of research, it's not possible to be a unanimous decision on the All-NBA Defensive teams. There are 30 votes total, one for each coach, and the coaches can not vote for players on their own team. So Dwight was unanimous in the sense that every one that could vote for him did. *EDIT* Nevermind.. he got 28 of a possible 29 votes.. not including SVG's vote... hmmm -

quote: Originally posted by VCplusD12:Howard was voted unanimously for the All-NBA Team, but not the All-Defensive one. You'd think it'd be the opposite if anything. You can at least make an argument number-wise that maybe Gasol or someone else could be 1st team All-NBA Center. 1st team all Defense for Dwight Howard is a no-brainer though. My guess is some Cleveland homer voted for Anderflop Flopejao as an all D 1st teamer -
Please tell me Rashard has learned to box out....
Chief Osceola replied to the notorious S.A.C.'s topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Please tell me... that you guys do indeed realize that without Rashard we probably wouldn't have beat Cleveland last year, we would've went to at least 6 games with Charlotte in the first round this year, and we'd have a snowballs chance in hell of beating Cleveland this year. I'd much rather his missed box out happen in a regular season game and him show up in games that matter -

We didn't top 100 against the Bobcats because they're the 2nd best defensive team in the league. Atlanta however will be hard-pressed to keep us under 100.. I'm looking forward to seeing Mike Bibby try to defend Jameer, if the week off hasn't killed his swagger that is
