Hell, Noah even has the same upside that Darko has, minus a jump shot. I'll take Noah's heart and hustle over Darko's euro-arrogance. Noah's way more atheletic, too.

OK, you're a homer! Remember that I said this...Noah is going to be a major bust at this level. The guy is Keon Clark and that is it. Darko can be alot more than that and already started to show it.

  2. Grant Hill gets alot of blame when he's on the court for the offense stalling but everyone should look at Dooling as well. He has the exact same deficiencies that Grant does. Teams don't honor his jumpshot and sag into the lane. He's a slightly above average penetrator but he cancels alot of that out by over dribbling.

He's a decent defender but probably overrated on this board. Anytime he's been assigned a good scorer they have torched him. I know that good offense beats good defense but I can't think of one player that he's held to a subpar game. I like his heart and hustle but he is expendable. I want to see JJ play more and Dooling and Grant are eating up all the minutes. I don't think Grant will come back next year and Dooling will probably opt out so why won't they play the rookie?

I just think we could play with a little more tempo. We are the kind of team that can do that. I read somewhere that the team is going to fire Coach Hill after the season..now why would you say that already?? He probably is just going to let this season slip away like we've been seeing so far lately. I hope we just get some cap room so this team can get some more publicity. Because with the help of fans we could really get booming much like the Mavs or Pistons. I hate watching the games on t.v. and the weak enthusiasm from the fans. I just want the best for the team.

You are more than welcome to express your opinions here bro. Of course there will be people that will disagree with you and express that. I think the other guy was warning you (even though you didn't really say anything bad) that some people have a tendicity to lash out on the boards.

There were a few things in your previous posts that were wrong and Marc answered most of them already but here's two things that I noticed.

    1) You can't really call the team lazy because of the tempo that they play. 90% of that is dictated by the coach. The Suns run up and down the whole game but that doesn't mean they are the hardest working team in the league.

    2) I liked what Mobley brought when he played for us but he was a free agent at the end of the season. There is a very good chance we would have lost him anyways because I can't see the Magic matching the offer the Clippers gave him. We should have been able to get someone better than Christie for him. That's the only problem with that trade.

    Welcome to the boards!

I think Duncan/Robinson and the 80's Celtics would have something to say about that. The 76ers with Barkley, Malone and Dr. J were pretty **** good as well.

The biggest thing with Dwight and Darko is that continue to build the chemistry between them. Mainly their communication on the defensive end needs to improve. Consistent time for our shooters would do a world of good as well.

  5. BJ, please tell me that this is some guy in a forum that wrote this and not a "credible" sports writer. This guy is a complete moron. Josh Howard is a very very good player but this isn't even a good debate. Dwight is special and no GM in the league would even consider this trade. I bet if someone called Otis about this trade I would be able to hear him laughing in Pensacola.

Oh, and Dallas is winning the championship this year. It won't even be a contest.

It's funny the media and everyone used to talk about how much depth we have, but if you need all of that depth to be competitive, what good does it do you?

Maybe getting Battie back will be another big boost like it was to get Ariza back. That might be enough to push us back into the "green" again!

The Knicks just lost their #2 scorer and NJ is heading into a tough stretch. Miami is still teetering on the edge. We're still in good shape to get back to .500 and stay there, just one run away, guys, one run.

Battie coming back will be a big lift. Darko hasn't learned how to stay out of foul trouble yet and it will be nice to have a backup other than Outlaw and Garrity. I curse everytime I see one of those 2 get up to go in the game.

Now I will seriously lose my mind if Battie gets inserted back into the starting lineup.

  7. I agree Marc, Turkoglu has been a very inconsistent player his entire career. We remember how well he was playing at the end of last season but its easy to forget that he had alot of very bad games last season as well.

On paper, he should have been a perfect fit in San Antonio but he struggled there as well. Turk will always be one of those players that never fully reaches his athletic potential.

I hate Napoleon too but is it possible for you to post on any other subject? I think you have the record for most anti-Hill posts so you can slow down a little.

I hope with Hill out and Dooling not playing well that JJ will start to receive more minutes. He definitely adds a component to our offense that isn't there when our other guards are in the game.

  9. In Garrity's defense he did hit a couple of 3's. A little off topic but did anyone else here the announcers say that the last time Garrity had made a shot was early February? I had to laugh and roll my eyes on that one. Anyways, Garrity did ok but he was absolutely abused by Najera and he hurt us more than he helped us. Unless Darko and Dwight have already fouled out I don't want to see Garrity in the game playing crunch time minutes.

  10. He's not as good as Grant in his prime but JJ is close to as good as Grant is right now in his career. More importantly is that JJ helps the overall offense by forcing the other team to stay at home on him and providing space for our other players to operate. Opponents sag off of Grant to help on Dwight or whomever. Grant also hurts our defense, in his youth he was athletic enough to cover 2 guards but he is a liability now.

Once again, its not that JJ is necessarily better its that he complements the other players better.

  11. I don't mind Dwight facing up (his quickness is one of his biggest assets) but I dont want to see him take more than 1 dribble when he does it. If you pay attention you'll notice that 50 percent of his turnovers are when he dribbles more than twice. He needs to take 1 power dribble, jumpstop, and go up strong.

His overalll game is improving very well. He has a very nice touch with either hand on his hook shots.

  12. Adam and BJ, do you fellas sleep? Posting at 4:30 in the morning is true dedication. lol

1 or 2 games over .500 should be good enough to get the last playoff spot and right now I would be great with that. The playoff experience is very important to the players at this stage in their career. If it means that Napoleon keeps his job a little longer I guess I'll have to tolerate that.

It was nice to see a positive thread Thisistheyear. thanks
